Are you right for Gucci?Meet the beautiful one-year-old Gucci. She’s a Malinois cross Akita who has come into our care after spending her whole life in a home. Gucci has previously been housetrained, though she may need a little refresher as she settles into her new environment. Gucci can find being left home alone a very stressful experience and is therefore looking for a home with adopters who wont need to leave her home alone. It's important she has a safe area where she can learn to relax and where she wont get into mischief and her new family will need to be committed to helping her overcome her anxieties. Gucci is a sweet, sensitive girl who initially found centre life a bit overwhelming. With time, she has come on in leaps and bounds, making new friends, enjoying fun walkies, and learning that new people often mean tasty treats. While she can still find unfamiliar experiences a little daunting, she gains a great deal of comfort and confidence from her trusted humans. Because of her worries, Gucci would thrive in a quieter home with children aged 14+ who can understand her body language and give her the space and time she needs to find her paws. She would love a garden of her own to play in and loves to play with her favourite toys, zoom around and of course, learning new things for a snack or two!

Are you right for Haze?Haze is a stunning 1 year old Malinois Cross looking for her perfect forever home. Bursting with energy and enthusiasm, she’s eager to find adopters who can channel her drive into fun, positive activities. As a youngster, Haze still shows some typical puppy behaviours, including mouthing, so she’ll need patient adopters committed to continuing her training. This will involve helping her master polite lead walking. Haze has lived in a home previously and was housetrained and ok being left for a couple of hours, however did live with a doggy companion so this will need rebuilding if living alone. Haze could live with confident, dog-savvy children aged 7+ who are comfortable around large, lively dogs. She has heaps of potential and would likely shine in activities such as cani-cross, agility, or flyball. She’s also been making plenty of canine friends here at the centre, so she can live with a well matched dog after a successful introduction. In the right home, Haze will thrive in an active, loving environment.

BreedBelgian Shepherd

Isla is an extremely intelligent and loyal dog. Once she bonds with someone, she’s deeply affectionate and will always be by your side. She’s eager to learn, thrives on structure, and is happiest when she has a job to do. Isla needs a confident owner who can give her the time, attention, and ongoing training that she deserves Isla came into rescue due to her fear reactions toward humans and reactivity toward other dogs. We’ve worked extensively with her, and she’s fully muzzle trained. While she has made great progress, she still needs a home that understands her sensitivities and is committed to continuing her training. Isla’s ideal home would be with an experienced owner who leads an active lifestyle and has no children or other pets. She would do well in an environment where she has a job or task to keep her engaged, whether that’s training, dog sports, or even working roles. If you’re ready for a loyal, intelligent companion and have the experience to help Isla continue growing, she could be your perfect match! Isla is currently in a foster home on the Wirral

Are you right for Johnny?Johnny is a nervous boy looking for a patient family with children older than 16. He can't live with another dog due to always trying to hump them, but does enjoy boisterous play with others. He is likely to require quite a few meetings at the centre before going home as it takes him a long time to build trust in strangers. We have no history for Johnny and cannot guarantee that he is house trained or used to being left alone for any length of time.

Juna, a 3 years old female Belgian Shepherd available for adoption from Ark Animal Rescue in Lincolnshire

I am a female Belgian Shepherd, am 3 years old and am a large all black dog.I’ve not been spayed and my last season was in December ’25. My vaccinations have lapsed and will be updated, I’m fit and well and I eat complete dry food and wet food mixed.I first came into the Ark in May ’25 having suddenly turned on the other older dogs in my home over the previous 6-8 months. I used to be best friends with them but this resulted in my having to be kept separate all the time. I was adopted but, sadly, my new owner has been made homeless.I have a very good temperament generally, and tend to attach to one person. I’m very good with people and children and love a belly rub. I’ve lived with children aged 12 and 14 years in a former home and aged 11 in my recent home and was good with them all. I’m unknown with cats. As well as my aggression to the other dogs in my home, I can be reactive towards dogs when out. I may appear fine at first and then suddenly turn; boarding kennels has also noticed this reactivity, possibly caused by my being nervous/anxious at times.I’ve not shown any aggression to people, only reactivity to other dogs and I’m good around food. I’m fine in kennels, at the vets and the groomers. I’m house-trained and can happily be left for 4-6 hours and slept either in my bed in the kitchen or next to my owner’s bed upstairs. I travel well in the car, pull a bit on the lead, but will settle and walk to heel. I’m generally good off lead and will only run off for toilet purposes as I like to be private but do have selective recall. I like toys and am still learning how to play. I need a home as an only pet with somebody experienced with my breed and could live with older children after careful introductions.

Loki, a 4 years old male Belgian Shepherd available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Greater Manchester

Dogs Trust

Loki

Greater Manchester
SexMale
Age4 years
BreedBelgian Shepherd

Are you right for Loki?Due to his boisterous behaviours, Loki can live with children of an upper secondary school age with patient adopters who can support his ongoing training. Although he likes seeing other dogs on walks, he can still be intense with some and is continuing his socialisation journey, so he must be the only dog in the home. He also cannot live with other pets, as he will chase. Loki is used to being crated and currently struggles to fully settle in a home environment, so he will need adopters who can help him adjust gradually. A non–open‑plan home will really benefit him by giving him calm spaces to relax. His leaving hours will also need to be built up slowly to help him feel secure. With consistency, structure, and lots of positive support, Loki will thrive and become the loving, fun‑filled companion he’s meant to be.

Ophelia, a 6 years old female Belgian Shepherd available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Norfolk

Ophelia

Norfolk
SexFemale
Age6 years
BreedBelgian Shepherd

Are you right for Ophelia?Ophelia is a gorgeous 4 year old Malinois who is searching for her furever home. Her dream home would be somewhere with her own private garden so she can enjoy spending time playing with her new family, especially playing with raggy toys and footballs! Ophelia would like to live in an adult only home who are prepared to be patient with her as she may require multiple meets at the centre. This is because she has been unsure when meeting new people where she has initially barked towards them but with the right introductions working at her own pace she very quickly starts to become more comfortable and create a very special bond with you. Ophelia would also need to be the only pet in home due to her being dog reactive. Ophelia has been able to share brief sniffs and walk alongside some dogs but she can also be reactive where she barks, shows her teeth and lunges. Due to this, Ophelia will need to wear a muzzle when out and about but she is fully muzzle trained and happy to wear this when out on walks. She settles very nicely in her kennel, but she can become alert and vocal if there is a lot of noise around her so a home in a quieter area would be ideal. After Ophelia has had the help of her new family to settle in, she is able to be left 1-4 hours over time.
