Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Rescue Finder and how to adopt rescue dogs
I have a question about a dog or want to adopt, who do I speak to?
If you have a question about a dog you've found, or want to adopt, please click on the link in the dog's description to visit the charity and contact them directly or follow their adoption procedure.
Is Rescue Finder a charity or rescue center?
No, Rescue Finder is not a charity or a rehoming center. We are a directory, making it easier to find dogs from different charities across the U.K.
How can I put my dog up for adoption?
Rescue Finder is not a rehoming center and we are unable to help you put your dog up for adoption. Please contact a rehoming center near you for more advice.
We are a charity, how can we list our dogs on Rescue Finder?
If you are a charity with dogs available for adoption and would like to list them on Rescue Finder, please contact us and we will be in touch.
I can't find a dog on your website anymore
Rescue Finder is updated several times a week, and if you can no longer see a dog up for adoption then they are no longer listed as available with the charity that was rehoming them. This might mean they have already been adopted - please contact the charity for more information.
Do you list dogs from every charity?
Unfortunately no (not yet!) but we are adding more charities and more dogs to Rescue Finder each week.
