16 year old Bonnie sadly found herself in a predicament when her owner was taken into care. They had been together for 15 years. We knew when we heard about Bonnie’s plight that we already had the perfect long term foster home for her - the legendary Karen’s Care Home!Jenna and Karen had worked together many times in the past. This amazing woman specialises in offering sanctuary to elderly and/or disabled little ones, and she has helped so many dogs in need over the past few years since she found her calling.Bonnie has settled in wonderfully with Karen and her pack of little oldies. Karen keeps us entertained with Bonnie's adventures on our social media pages. A bossy lady, Bonnie is ruling the roost and has developed a penchant for hiding her fellow care home residents' toys around the house! One Wish will be supporting Bonnie’s care for the rest of her life. She deserves to feel safe, loved and cherished for however long she has left with us. We’re making sure she has everything she needs.© 2025 One Wish Dog Foundation. Registered Charity no: 1212997

Ember, a 2 years old female Cardigan Welsh Corgi available for adoption from Many Tears Animal Rescue in Wales

Ember

SexFemale
Age2 years
BreedCardigan Welsh Corgi

27-04-26 Ember has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for her forever home. She is a worried girl who is feeling overwhelmed to find herself here and will currently run away from you. Ember is clearly not used to being handled and will need time, patience and gentle socialisation to help her begin to come out of her shell. She will be looking for a calm and quiet home where she can feel safe and secure and settle in at her own pace. She would really benefit from adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs and understand the time and patience she will need. Ember will need at least one other confident resident dog in the home to be her friend and help guide her, and she would prefer this dog to be larger than herself. As Ember has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all aspects of home life, including house training. She will also need support to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, starting in a secure garden where she can gain confidence at her own pace. With time, understanding and a kind resident dog to help show her the way, Ember has the potential to blossom into a much more confident and trusting companion in the right home.Ember has had 15 teeth extracted and only has her upper and lower canines and lower incisiors remaining. When she first arrived with us she had a chesty cough, but she has received treatment and is now feeling much better.Ember has a travel document.Ember has been given the Gift of Life by Becky Stanley

Jolly, a 2 years old male Collie x Cardigan Welsh Corgi available for adoption from Canine Rescue Centre in Scotland

Meet Jolly Jolly is a sweet little soul with a gentle heart and a quiet charm that really grows on you. True to his name, he has his playful moments—especially when he’s off lead and enjoys a little zoom about—but most of the time he’s happiest just plodding along at his own pace, taking in the world calmly by your side.Jolly can be quite shy and nervous when meeting new people, so he’ll need a patient and understanding home where he can build trust at his own speed. Once he feels safe, his lovely personality begins to shine through. He’s a very clean boy who keeps his kennel tidy, and he walks beautifully on the lead, making him a peaceful companion for relaxed strolls. He thrives on routine and would do best in a calm, predictable environment with someone who respects his need for personal space. Because of this, Jolly is looking for an adult-only home. The good news is that Jolly is non-reactive around other dogs—he’s happy to walk alongside them without fuss. He shows polite and relaxed behaviour in their presence. We don’t yet know how he feels about cats.

Louis, a 7 years old male German Shepherd X Cardigan Welsh Corgi available for adoption from LIB Dog Rescue in Suffolk

Louis

SexMale
Age7 years
BreedGerman Shepherd X Cardigan Welsh Corgi

It’s been a long process for Louis, we don’t know his story prior to being dumped in Romania’s Bals kill shelter with a crippled leg, but it would have been painful and traumatic. The leg was amputated before he travelled to the UK. Louis is a short legged dog, with a beautiful face. There is some GSD but also maybe some corgi mixed in there.Louis has lived in our home for well over 2 years and for most of that time wouldn’t allow any of us to touch him. Lead training him was a very slow process of confidence building which eventually led to Louis allowing us to touch him, which he now rather likes.Rehoming Louis will not be fast, Adopters will need to take the time to get to know him, gain his trust and give him confidence. Louis is well worth a little of your time, if you are the right person for him. He is predominantly an off lead dog, as with most three legged dogs he is more comfortable running a little / resting a little, rather than going at our consistent walking pace. He doesn’t require long walks but does bomb around while he is out.I don’t think he would do well as an only dog, dogs have been his only friends for most of his life, he is also absolutely fine with my cats.If you are patient, kind, have some experience with rescue dogs you could be the right person for our Louis.Adoption donation, Homecheck and RBU apply. You will need to agree to walk your dog in an appropriate slip lead or escape proof harness.Serious inquiries please email libdogrescue@gmail.com
