BreedSt Bernard

Benji is officially a cuddle-monster who loves people, despite all the terrible hardship he has endured.Found abandoned and abused on the streets in Greece, Benji was in a horrific state when we were asked to support his rescue last year. We have been sponsoring him ever since and in that time he has gained weight and is now fit and well. He is negative for all blood borne diseases including Brucellosis. Benji is friendly with other dogs and doesn't bother with cats so could live in a multi pet home with careful introductions. He will however need feeding separately as he was starved. As you can see from his video, Benji adores people and loves nothing better than cuddles and affection! He can live with children aged 14 and above. He will need to be neutered when he reaches maturity (neutering will be a condition of his adoption). Watch his video - we challenge you not to smile! And please reach out to us about beautiful Benji (spelt with and without an “e”)

BreedSt Bernard

Beautiful boy Cyclops is named (because of his stunning half mask) after the giant-shepherd in Greek mythology.Unlike his mythological namesake, Cyclops is fully sighted and does not eat humans! He is simply a glorious boy who has suffered too much and deserves a forever home.Cyclops was found wandering the Greek roads in a dreadful state of neglect; underweight and suffering from heartworm. The wonderful man who saved him man nursed him back to health. His heartworm has now been successfully treated and Cyclops is a healthy, happy giant, looking for the love of a family. Around 3-4 years old , Cyclops is currently living 60 miles from Athens but is ready to travel to the UK and is very friendly to people and other dogs. As we don't have a child history, sadly we cannot home him with with children under 14 yrs.Cyclops would be perfectly suited to an outdoor lifestyle and needs large-breed experienced adopters.

Lola, a 8 years old female St Bernard available for adoption from Paws and People in Northern Ireland

Paws and People

Lola

Northern Ireland
SexFemale
Age8 years
BreedSt Bernard

Lola is a beautiful big teddy bear who just needs a suitable forever home. Lola is a lovely big girl, who just loves people. Once she bonds with you, she is like your shadow. Lola is great in the house and has been used to living in a loving home most of her life. So she would really love to find a new home to spend the rest of her life. Lola does mix with other dogs here at the rescue and can socialise with other dogs on a one to one basis with the correct introductions. She can be nervous with other dogs at times, so introducing new dogs to her has to be done properly. Lola would love a home as the only dog, as she deserves to have all the attention. Whilst Lola has lived with kids previously, she does have food guarding issues around feed times and bones, so a home with teens and over is required, so that this behaviour can be successfully managed. (Please dont let this put you off, her families have all said she is an amazing girl, this behaviour can be easily managed.) Lola is not suitable around cats or small animals. She would be best in a more rural or quiet area as she can be reactive on lead at times, she doesnt like strange dogs running into her space when on walks. We can cover some training costs to help with this issue. True to the Akita in her mix, she is very loyal to her family and would love a family who will be equally as loyal to her. We really need this next home to be her forever home.
