Sebby – Working with potential owners's Notes:Sebby is a very excitable and energetic lad which is typical of his breed. Unfortunately he has been recently returned to us due to his behaviour shown in the home.He had spent 3 months in a boarding kennels due to his owners ill health, then brought to us for rehoming, but unfortunately he has missed out on alot of his social and environmental development. He is looking for a home that has previous experience of Weimaraners, with people who are also willing to work with our behaviourist to ensure his behaviours are managed correctly in his new home.Sebby is a very clever and playful lad, who loves to learn new things.Sebby can be a strong boy, but now walks lovely on a Gen-con to help with his strength and make his walks more enjoyable. This needs to be continued by his new owners, to ensure he is under control whilst out and about on adventures.Sebby does suffer from seperation anxiety, which is a typical trait of his breed, but we hope in time to come, with the correct input, this can be improved. He is such is lovable and friendly lad, who throughly enjoys human company and would love cuddles on a big comfy couch. He adores adventures through the woods and getting his nose into what he can whilst out and about. He can be a tad unsure of noisy lorries, but has now learnt to stop and wait until it passes by, whilst looking back at you for reassurance.Since arriving with us, he has spent time around other dogs at a distance, as he doesn’t know how to fully interact with them.He is wanting to interact but doesn’t know how to fully, so will need gentle guidance with this over time, to build his confidence around them, so is looking to be the only dog in the home.He has a huge amount of potential to be a fantastic canine companion as he is great company to be around. We feel Sebby could live with older children aged 14+, who are used to large bouncy dogs.Sebby is showing signs of being toilet trained, but will need added input in his new home.We really hope he doesn’t have to wait long for his furever home!can live with older childrenfriendly with dogsfriendly with strangerscan’t live with cats

17-04-26 Whimsy has come to us from a breeder and is a very worried girl. When she first arrived, she was very unsettled at the moment and could be quite skittish, finding so many of the sights and sounds of the world quite overwhelming. Since arriving she has started to settle in and come out of her shell, but will still need time and TLC as she settles in to her new life. Once she gets to know you, she will quietly approach you and allow a gentle fuss.Whimsy needs time to learn and to trust, and needs a calm and quiet home home that understands ex-breeding dogs and will allow her the space she needs to learn about trust at her own pace. She will need a calm, patient, and understanding family who are willing to let her take things slowly and gently as she begins to discover the comforts of home life. She will need a kind and confident resident dog in her home that she can look to and rely on as she learns about home life and settles in. Having a canine companion to guide her will really help build her confidence and show her that the world can be a safe and happy place.Whimsy does walk well on a lead, but as she can be a bit skittish, her adopters will need to take the outside world at her own pace, allowing her the time she needs to gain confidence in her surroundings without feeling pressured.Whimsy seems like she has such a sweet heart, and with time, patience, and kindness, she will begin to show her loving and gentle nature. She just needs someone special to help her learn about trust and companionship and to show her that she is safe and loved.Whimsy has come to us with an abscess on the right side of her jaw, which is being treated by the vets. Our vets have noted that she has one fractured canine, but no root or nerve exposure and so it is advised to leave it at this time, but will need monitoring by her adopters and their vet. She is currently being treated for a UTI and will be rechecked once the course of medication has finished.
