Bailey, a 5 years old male Crossbreed available for adoption from Animal Helpline in Cambridgeshire

Bailey

Cambridgeshire
SexMale
Age5 years
BreedCrossbreed

Bailey came into our rescue anxious and very unsure of his surroundings, but with time, patience and understanding we’ve worked to help him gain trust and confidence. He’s made a significant improvement whilst being with us and we now feel that he’s ready to take the next step and find his forever home.He is a highly intelligent boy who needs to be guided in the right direction. He has Collie like traits and will require an experienced home with no children as he can be reactive on walks and tends to guard toys.He is food motivated and will take treats gently, so high quality treats can be used as a positive reinforcement during his ongoing training–we think he could possibly be excellent in agility.

Cindy has been with us a few months now and is fantastic with a small group of people she trusts. It does take her some time to build trust, which means she doesn’t show her true self when she meets new people. But when she does show herself you see that she’s a happy girl who loves nothing more than showing off running around and destroying toys. She is very loyal and will make a fantastic companion if you give her the time she needs to build a bond and trust.

Dorothy, a 2 years old male Jack Russell Terrier available for adoption from Animal Helpline in Cambridgeshire

Dorothy

Cambridgeshire
SexMale
Age2 years
BreedJack Russell Terrier

Dorothy is a very pretty little girl, estimated to be around just 1–2 years old. Beneath those sweet eyes is a nervous soul who is still learning that the world can be kind.Whatever Dorothy experienced in her past has clearly affected her confidence, but slowly and surely she is beginning to come out of her shell. Every day she grows a little braver, and it’s been lovely to watch her start to trust and enjoy life more. One thing we’ve noticed is how much Dorothy gains confidence from other dogs. Having a calm, friendly companion nearby helps her feel safe and reassured, so we feel she would be happiest in a home with another compatible small dog as larger breeds are simply too overwhelming for her.

Flynn, a 2 years old male Lurcher available for adoption from Animal Helpline in Cambridgeshire

Flynn

BreedLurcher

Flynn is one of our gorgeous young boys who, sadly, hasn’t had much interest yet — and we really don’t understand why! When Flynn arrived, he had some facial cuts, but we’re so pleased to say he has healed up beautifully and is now feeling so much better. He’s a lovely, affectionate boy who enjoys company and would really benefit from a home where he’s not left for long periods. Flynn gets on brilliantly with other dogs and would love a compatible canine companion to share his new life with.

Jasmine is absolute testament to all the best traits of a Cane Corso. She’s intelligent, unbelievably loving and incredibly loyal. She is fantastic when she knows you and this can take time with new people but when she loves you she’s the softest girl ever.Sadly, she didn’t get the best start in life but she has been lucky enough to spend time in foster and be able to show her true nature. She loves toys, treats and to snuggle up on the bed or sofa. She sits nicely in the car on her trips out to the local paddock and enjoys running around but stays close to us. She also sits nicely for her treats which she takes so gently.

Larry is one of our handsome young boys who, just like his best friend Flynn, hasn’t had the interest he deservesHe’s a friendly, affectionate lad who absolutely loves being around people and enjoys plenty of fuss and attention. Larry would not suit being left alone for long periods — he really thrives on companionship and being part of a home.Larry gets on really well with other dogs and would love a home with a compatible companion to help him settle and enjoy life to the fullest.

BreedCrossbreed

Lily is a young, affectionate, and super-loyal girl who adores people of all ages and sizes. She’s currently in foster care and has been making fantastic progress. Her foster family describe her as a loving, eager-to-please companion who quickly forms strong bonds with her humans.Lily came to us from the pound in poor condition — underweight, with wounds on her legs and no history — but she’s bounced back beautifully. In her foster home, it was immediately clear she’d lived in a house before. She’s relaxed, polite, house-trained, and understands personal space surprisingly well for a larger dog. (Yes, she’ll sneak onto the sofa — but she gets off when asked!)At night, she settles down quickly and sleeps peacefully.

A little while ago, we were asked if we could help some puppies who had been rescued from the streets of Romania. Over the past 12 years, we’ve worked with the same trusted rescuers, and many of you will have adopted Romanian dogs through us. While times are undoubtedly more challenging these days, we simply couldn’t turn our backs on these youngsters and wanted to give them the chance of the life they deserve. One of those puppies is beautiful Valentine, a medium-sized girl who is just 5 months old.Like many Romanian dogs, Valentine sees the world a little differently and is still learning that life can be safe, fun, and full of kindness. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she starts to trust you, her happy and playful personality shines through.

BreedJack Russell Terrier

Some dogs arrive with us ready to take on the world… and some need a little more time, patience, and understanding before they can truly begin to shine. Wally is one of those dogs.Wally is a larger-sized Jack Russell cross who came to us from the pound a little while ago. When he first arrived, he was completely overwhelmed — so fearful and frightened that he simply shut down. Seeing him like that only made us want to help him even more. With dogs like Wally, it’s all about earning trust through patience, kindness, and plenty of TLC.For his first week with us, Wally stayed quietly at the back, shivering and unsure of everything around him. But slowly, with gentle encouragement, he began to realise he was safe. Before long he was enjoying cuddles and fuss, and once he discovered walks… well, that changed everything!
