About Animals In Need

Animals In Need is a long-established rescue organisation founded in 1990, dedicated to helping sick, injured, trapped, and distressed wild and domestic animals. Operating across Northamptonshire, the charity provides emergency response, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, and rehoming or release where possible, working closely with volunteers and local authorities, including Northamptonshire Police. Animals In Need is equipped with a fully fitted animal ambulance, specialist transport, and up-to-date first aid equipment to respond to a wide range of emergencies. The team cares for vulnerable wildlife such as orphaned birds, injured swans, and underweight hedgehogs, often requiring intensive round-the-clock support. Entirely reliant on donations, the charity also partners with Restart4Rescues to offer adopters professional guidance when settling rescue dogs into their new homes.

Cash is a handsome young Lurcher. Once he gets to know other dogs and learns he can trust them, he will be friends with them. Typical of the breed cannot share his home with cats or small furries. He initially suffered from separation anxiety, but given time and patience this has improved, so is definitely something that can be worked on. His garden will need to be very secure. He is good with people of all ages and does know some basic commands, so ongoing training would be beneficial. Fletcher is a big softie in a giant’s body—a true gentle goofball who loves nothing more than enjoying the great outdoors, having a play, and flopping down for belly rubs. He’s full of character and charm, and his affectionate nature makes him impossible not to love. He’d prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention (and he really will!). Harley is a pretty 4 yr old Frenchie X (possibly SBT). She is stubborn and will need an experienced home. She can get very excited and needs reminding of her manners. She is strong on the lead so will need a firm hand. She is reactive to dogs, and chases cats, so would be best as the only pet in the home. She should be fine to live with sensible teenagers, but no younger children. A family with time to commit to ongoing training would suit this gorgeous girl.www.animals-in-need.org is the proud winner of best designed website from the pet forums community. Karlos

Karlos is a lovely lad with lots of energy who will make a fantastic companion but will need a home experienced in large breeds. He is very strong but walks better on a Halti so ongoing training with that is essential. He is a friendly boy but due to his size he would be best in a home where there will be no children under the age of 12 yrs. He seems to be fine out walking with other large dogs, but isn’t keen on smaller ones. He has not been cat-tested. The ideal home for Karlos would therefore be an active family experienced with large breeds, who can offer him lots of exercise and are committed to training him, as he is very eager to please.www.animals-in-need.org is the proud winner of best designed website from the pet forums community.
