Beagle Welfare was established in 1979 to provide help and advice to beagle owners and to rehome beagles whose families can no longer care for them. The charity focuses on preventing cruelty and maltreatment, promoting responsible ownership and breeding practices, and supporting owners with guidance when needed. Through its rescue work, Beagle Welfare finds new homes for these affectionate yet sometimes challenging little hounds across Great Britain. Funded by donations, the organisation ensures every beagle in its care remains healthy and comfortable while awaiting a loving forever home.

Wilson is described as a really nice boy with a sweet nature. He is very food-motivated, which makes him highly trainable and eager to learn. He already knows several basic commands including sit, lie down, paw, and “here”, and responds well when treats are involved. He thrives on companionship and has always lived with other dogs, so he is not used to being left completely alone. He would do best in a home where someone is around for much of the day or where he has suitable canine company.
