About Canine Rescue Centre

The rescue centre has been purpose-built with dog welfare as its highest priority and has been continually developed since it was first acquired in 2003. Over the years, the site has been renovated to include modern facilities such as a dedicated rehoming block with individual covered runs, underfloor heating, and secure grass exercise areas. Additional puppy and isolation units were introduced in 2013 to support dogs requiring specialist care or recovery. The centre also benefits from extensive outdoor space, including a large enclosed paddock for safe off-lead exercise, as well as specialist kennels for dogs undergoing medical treatment.

Bandit

Scotland
SexFemale

BreedCrossbreed

Meet Bandit - the one year old crossbreed full of potential but running on a slightly overloaded operating system.Bandit has a big personality and little understanding of the concept of doing things in moderation. Everything is exciting and she doesn't quite understand why we're not always as exuberant as she is. When Bandit came to us she didn't have the coping skills to process her big feelings. However she is working very hard with her handlers to learn more appropriate methods of dealing with those big feels, and making excellent progress. Underneath it all, she is a clever, engaged dog who is desperately trying to get it right. With an experienced owner, they'll soon find out what we already know: she's a real diamond in the rough.

BreedYorkshire Terrier

Honey and Buddy-Boy are two small, fluffy dogs in need of a fresh start, and they must be rehomed together as they share a strong bond. They are looking for a quiet, patient home with calm and respectful owners who understand that they may need time to settle and learn to trust. They are not currently house trained and can be hand shy, so they will need gentle handling and someone willing to work with them at their own pace. They are fairly active dogs who will benefit from regular exercise and mental stimulation. Because of their needs, they would be best suited to an adult-only home with no children.

BreedLabrador

Meet Echo Echo is a handsome 2½-year-old Chocolate Labrador who’s on the lookout for his forever home. Echo is a friendly and affectionate lad who absolutely loves to play. His favourite game is a good old game of fetch—especially if there’s a ball involved! Like a typical Labrador, he’s very food orientated, which makes him great for training and bonding. He travels well in the car, so he’d be a great companion for adventures, and he’s generally okay with being groomed too.Echo can be vocal around other dogs, so he may need some guidance and continued training in this area. He hasn’t had experience around children, and we’re unsure how he is with cats, so any introductions would need to be done carefully.Overall, Echo is a fun, friendly boy with lots of love to give. With the right home, some continued guidance, and plenty of playtime, he’ll make a fantastic companion. If you think you could offer Echo the loving home he deserves, please get in touch to find out more.

BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

This is the very handsome Hugo! He is a sweet boy but can be very shy on first meet. He hasn't been with us long so we will update his profile as we get to know him. So far we have found him to be a little timid with close handling and he can be a little reactive towards other dogs he doesn't know. He does seem to be gaining a little confidence every day so we hope to keep building on that. Due to his unknown history we wont be rehoming him with cats or young children.

Jolly

Scotland
SexMale

BreedCollie x Cardigan Welsh Corgi

Meet Jolly Jolly is a sweet little soul with a gentle heart and a quiet charm that really grows on you. True to his name, he has his playful moments—especially when he’s off lead and enjoys a little zoom about—but most of the time he’s happiest just plodding along at his own pace, taking in the world calmly by your side.Jolly can be quite shy and nervous when meeting new people, so he’ll need a patient and understanding home where he can build trust at his own speed. Once he feels safe, his lovely personality begins to shine through. He’s a very clean boy who keeps his kennel tidy, and he walks beautifully on the lead, making him a peaceful companion for relaxed strolls. He thrives on routine and would do best in a calm, predictable environment with someone who respects his need for personal space. Because of this, Jolly is looking for an adult-only home. The good news is that Jolly is non-reactive around other dogs—he’s happy to walk alongside them without fuss. He shows polite and relaxed behaviour in their presence. We don’t yet know how he feels about cats.

Meadow, a 3 years old male German Shepherd available for adoption from Canine Rescue Centre in Scotland

Meadow

Scotland
SexMale

BreedGerman Shepherd

Meadow is a real sweetheart with an occasional cheeky side! He walks great on the lead and really enjoys a run off lead in our fully secure paddock. We have found him to be gentle and calm when meeting new people and feel he is ready for the next step in his journey. Meadow has come so far since he has came into us and he would need someone who is patient understanding with his training going forward. Teaching him that the world is not as scary as he believes it to be.Any potential new homes would have experience in large breeds and ideally have some knowledge in under socialised dogs, also with the time and patience to bring this lovely lad up to what we know his full potential could be.Any potential homes will need to be extremely patient and understanding with their training going forward.
