Meet our beautiful little girl, Betty. We know very little about Betty’s past, but it’s clear that life hasn’t always been kind to her. Something in her journey has left her feeling a little shy and unsure of the world around her. When you first meet Betty, you see a gentle soul who is still learning that people can be safe and that love can be hers too. She can be submissive and a little worried at times, but behind those cautious eyes is the sweetest, softest nature you could ever hope to find.Betty is such a loving girl. Once she feels safe, you begin to see glimpses of the happy puppy she should have always been — a young dog who simply wants to be loved, protected, and part of a family. The outside world can still feel a little big and overwhelming for her. Things like traffic can make her nervous, so Betty will need a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to grow in confidence.Betty is only 10 months old. She should have a whole lifetime of adventures, love, and happiness ahead of her. Right now, she just needs someone to believe in her and give her the chance she’s been waiting for.If you feel you could be the person to show Betty the love and security she deserves, please fill in an interest form below. Her new life could start with you..Not able to adopt, but would like to help Betty find their perfect forever home? Please consider sponsoring or part-sponsoring Betty whilst they in our care to help find them the perfect loving home they deserve faster, also enabling us to help even more animals!Staff are here to ensure the animals find homes which suit their needs. Dexter

Essex

BreedAkita

Meet our handsome Dexter! This boy arrived as a stray and has settled in to kennel life well! He loves everyone and is always looking for someone to spend time with him and play the games he loves! He gets excited when he sees the handlers he knows well and will spring into a happy dance like a puppy!Dexter loves to be outside. He plays with toys on his own and although he does love company, he is more than happy to entertain himself when needed. Akitas are an independent breed and those who have a soft spot for them know they can be aloof and quirky at times. Although Dexter has shown us a glimpse into this side of him, we have mostly seen a truly loving and affectionate dog in him.Dexter quite likes other dogs and will happily join a group walk here at the home, walking alongside other dogs at a distance well. He can be a little unsure when they come right up to his face but we think he could become more confident in time given appropriate socialisation.Dexter is looking for a family with some larger breed experience, preferably with Akitas themselves. He is a friendly and affectionate boy that is hoping for a loving home to call his own. Could that be you? Please fill in an application form and someone will be in touch! Not able to adopt, but would like to help Dexter find their perfect forever home? Please consider sponsoring or part-sponsoring Dexter whilst they in our care to help find them the perfect loving home they deserve faster, also enabling us to help even more animals!Staff are here to ensure the animals find homes which suit their needs.
