Banjo, a 3 years old male Lurcher available for adoption from Danaher Animal Home in Essex

Danaher Animal Home

Banjo

Essex
SexMale
Age3 years
BreedLurcher

Banjo is looking for a kind, patient adopter with experience of rescue dogs, particularly those who need a little extra time to build confidence. While he can be worried by people at first, Banjo is already showing that, with a gentle and understanding approach, he is capable of forming trusting relationships and growing in confidence.Banjo will thrive in a calm home where he can settle at his own pace, with a secure house and private garden to enjoy while he adjusts to his new surroundings. In the early weeks, he’ll benefit from keeping life simple, allowing him to build trust before introducing walks, visitors or new experiences. Once he is comfortable, he enjoys exploring, but due to his sensitive nature, prey drive and history as a stray, he will need to remain on lead when out and about.Banjo is still learning his house training, so his adopter will need to be happy to continue this with patience and consistency. One of Banjo’s greatest strengths is how much another dog boosts his confidence. A confident, playful female Lurcher helps him feel happier, more secure and provides valuable social learning, so he would love a home with a canine companion of this type.To give Banjo the very best chance of success, we are also happy to offer home visits, behavioural support and would consider a foster-to-adopt arrangement while he settles into his new home.Banjo is a truly special boy who just needs a second chance to learn that humans are okay and to be shown what loves is. Can you give Banjo the life and love he deserves? Not able to adopt, but would like to help Banjo find their perfect forever home? Please consider sponsoring or part-sponsoring Banjo whilst they in our care to help find them the perfect loving home they deserve faster, also enabling us to help even more animals!Staff are here to ensure the animals find homes which suit their needs. Lois, a 8 years old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from Danaher Animal Home in Essex

Danaher Animal Home

Lois

Essex
SexFemale
Age8 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

Our precious Lois is currently in a foster home due to not coping in the kennels. This has given us a rare opportunity to assess her behaviour first hand in a home environment! As you can imagine, her fosterer has confirmed that her behaviour is typical of an older staffie, she loves her walks, wants to be with you all the time and is a bit of a couch potato!Lois struggles to control her behaviour around dogs so unfortunately will need to wear a muzzle while out and about on walks just to give her handler control if an off lead dog were to surprise her, but please don't judge her, she's the sweetest girl and such a softie! She simply needs someone that can see past her occasional struggles with dogs and see her for the princess she is!Lois absolutely loves to be with her family so is hoping for a home where she will not need to be left for long periods. Due to her sometimes boisterous affections she would also be suited to a home with slightly older children.Lois is an older gal so her exercise needs are not massive. A couple of half an hour toodles will be fine for her, followed by a nice snooze! She is affectionate and content, if you love your staffies this girl is about as typical as you can get! Please consider her! She is desperate to find her new forever home. If you think you can offer it please fill out an application form and we will be in touch! Not able to adopt, but would like to help Lois find their perfect forever home? Please consider sponsoring or part-sponsoring Lois whilst they in our care to help find them the perfect loving home they deserve faster, also enabling us to help even more animals!Staff are here to ensure the animals find homes which suit their needs. BreedFrench Bulldog

Meet Lolly – the little lady with the biggest heart. ️Every French Bulldog has their own wonderfully quirky personality, and Lolly is no exception. Full of the charm, cheekiness and lovable traits that make the breed so adored, she’s simply waiting for someone to see just how special she is.Lolly came into our care through no fault of her own after a change in circumstances, alongside her daughter, Chanel. While they arrived together, they are now looking for separate homes where each of them can have a family that suits their individual needs. When you first meet Lolly, she can be a little shy and likes to take her time getting to know new people. She isn’t the type to throw herself into your arms straight away—but give her a little patience, a kind voice and a gentle approach, and before long you’ll have a loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Once you’ve earned her trust, she gives her whole heart.Lolly can be a little worried around some men, so she’ll need people who understand that trust is something she builds at her own pace. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding, and every milestone feels like a little victory. She would be happy living with older children who understand that sometimes she may need a little space at first—but once she’s settled, they’d better be ready for plenty of cuddles! Lolly is happiest when she’s close to the people she loves and will happily remind you that lap dogs come in all shapes and sizes.Like many French Bulldogs, Lolly knows exactly what she likes, and that includes her canine friends. She can be quite selective and generally prefers dogs of a similar breed and temperament. For this reason, she’s looking for a home where she can be the only dog, with slow, carefully managed socialising out and about to help her continue building positive experiences.Lolly doesn’t need perfection. She doesn’t need endless adventures or a busy household. She simply needs someone willing to let her bloom in her own time—a family who will love her for exactly who she is.If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a heart full of love, a face that’ll make you smile every single day, and enough cuddles to last a lifetime, then Lolly might just be the one you’ve been waiting for.Not able to adopt, but would like to help Lolly find their perfect forever home? Please consider sponsoring or part-sponsoring Lolly whilst they in our care to help find them the perfect loving home they deserve faster, also enabling us to help even more animals!
