BreedGreyhound

Dazzle has been gifted a new name to help him on his new venture. Dazzle means to impress or amaze – and Dazzle has done just that. Dazzle came over to us from Home Run Hounds, a local Greyhound rehoming centre. He has settled in like a duck to water and has been a pleasure. Dazzle has been looking for a home for a long time and we think the change of centres is going to help him to find his special place. Dazzle is looking for a quiet life and has so much affection to give.Dazzle is a confident and affectionate boy!Dazzle enjoys trips out, preferring quiet locations in favour of busy parks. He loves to have a good sniff of everything when out on his walks. He travels really well and when at HRH he visited the homes of volunteers and their relatives, where he has been the perfect guest! Dazzle can’t wait to have his very own home to call his own. There is so much more to this gorgeous boy, so come and spend some time with him and see all the wonderful qualities he has to offer. Although Dazzle is a super affectionate boy with people he can be reactive towards dogs he doesn’t know, since coming to the kennel Dazzle has proved to be a star around other Greys but will need more socialisation around unfamiliar dogs. We can help to support and guide in what this would look like in his new home.Dazzle will make the best companion and will shine like the diamond he is in a quiet home environment.

Maggie, a 11 years old female Greyhound available for adoption from Daybreaks Trust in West Midlands

Daybreaks Trust

Maggie

West Midlands
SexFemale
Age11 years
BreedGreyhound

Maggie is a gentle, sweet-natured greyhound who has recently returned to our care through no fault of her own. After seven happy years in a loving home, a change in her owner’s circumstances means she’s now searching for a quiet place to enjoy her golden years. At 11, Maggie is the definition of calm and easy-going. She doesn’t bark, travels well, and takes most things in her stride. Out and about, she’s not reactive to other dogs and still enjoys her walks, she is good with little dogs but can be a little nervous around bigger dogs. While Maggie is looking to be homed as an only dog, she could potentially live with a calm, older canine companion who respects her space and enjoys a similarly relaxed lifestyle. She would thrive in a peaceful, adult-only home—ideally with a retired couple who are home most of the time and enjoy a slower pace of life. Maggie doesn’t cope well being left on her own, so she’s looking for a home where she’ll have company throughout the day.She loves routine, a comfy bed, and quiet companionship. No children, no hustle and bustle—just a calm, secure home where she can settle in and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.Maggie is currently still living with her owner while we support her transition into her new home, so all meet and greets will need to be arranged in advance. Onwer is willing to offer some financial support to assist with new owners and may be able to offer free home boarding to new home in the event of a holiday. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who simply wants a soft place to land and someone to be near, Maggie may be the perfect match.
