Bella & Harvey, a 8 years old female Cocker Spaniel available for adoption from DBARC in Berkshire

Bella & Harvey

Berkshire
SexFemale
Age8 years
BreedCocker Spaniel

(14/17kg)Bella & her father Harvey have very sadly come to us because their owner has died. They are very attached to each other and are so easy to manage together, we are looking for a home together for them. They have been much loved companions and are very sweet and friendly dogs who have been very well cared for. These two beauties really enjoy their walks and their cuddles - they are the perfect ready made doggie family! They both need some dental treatment which will be done by DBARC very soon, then they will be ready to move in to their new home. We are sure they will bring a lot of love and happiness to their new family as they obviously did to their previous owner.

Polly, a 2 years old female Whippet available for adoption from DBARC in Berkshire

DBARC

Polly

Berkshire
SexFemale
Age2 years
BreedWhippet

Polly was found straying along with another similar dog, but they were never reclaimed and it is most likely that they were simply abandoned. Polly is a sensitive dog who is very shy & will need a lot of time & patience to learn people mean her no harm. It is likely that she may have had some less than kind treatment in her past life, but consistent and loving handling will soon build her confidence.Polly is not used to living with cats or small pets, and given her sighthound genes, would be quite likely to chase them She is good with other dogs. Polly has no long term history so we would not wish to place her with children under 10 years.Because she is so shy - we feel she would be best placed in a home with another kind & confident dog to be her mentor Having been unwanted at such an early age does mean that Polly is likely to have missed out on early training, so her adopters will need to be ready to help her catch up, and training classes will be an essential part of that process as well as normal training in the home, socialising with other kind dogs and habituation to the wider world. She is a normal, healthy and active youngster who will need plenty of exercise and company most of the time.

Rocky, a 8 years old male Crossbreed available for adoption from DBARC in Berkshire

Rocky

Berkshire
SexMale

body, little legs!!Rocky was adopted from DBARC as a puppy and has very sadly come back to us because his owner is no longer able to care for him due to disability. He's a friendly boy who sadly has not had so many walks recently. He loves lots of fuss and cuddles and is a happy, waggy boy while he's with somebody. In the kennels he is stressed and very unhappy which is very sad to see. He has been living with another dog but the two dogs have had several arguments, so we feel Rocky would do better as an only dog. He is friendly towards dogs outside on his walks, but obviously does not want to share his home with one anymore. Very sadly his previous adopter did not keep his vaccinations up to date and did not deal with a few health issues which we are now sorting - we hope as soon as he is ready, he will be able to go to a loving home asap.
