Please meet our cheerful gorgeous crossbreed, a very happy boy with a tail that just won’t stop wagging!Poor Adey was kept outside in -5 degrees without any shelter sitting on a concrete step begging to be let into the kitchen.He was kept alive by a neighbour throwing food over the fence, who raised the alarm.He got the name Adey because his neighbour who kept him alive was called Adrian. The community asked for our help.He loves being around people and, while he might be a bit strong on the lead at first, he settles down quickly. That said, he does appreciate having his personal space when out and about and isn't a fan of being crowded.Adey really enjoys starting games, is ball obsessed and has an enthusiastic spirit, which shows he could benefit from a little extra training.Just a heads up - he’s definitely not a fan of rainy days!He would thrive best in a home without other pets, as he can be a bit reactive towards other dogs

Look who needs a home! AZTECPoor Aztec was in the pound and his time was up. His pts was imminent.We watched so carefully, praying another rescue would step in and just when we thought he was safe his space fell through, we HAD to step in to save this young boy. He was so extremely traumatised by it all.Aztec needs an only dog home, with a high wall that will continue his positive training with exercise and fun.He hasn’t been cat tested.He can still be nervous with new situations .

Banksy is a lovely affectionate mixed breed dog from the continent, potentially with some Retriever in him.Looking towards a positive future – Banksy is now ready to live his best life in an ‘only dog’ home.Several visits to the kennels will be required, to build up a relationship of trust and confidence with Banksy.Banksy has not been cat tested.

Bear came into our care as a terrified and disorientated pup. After being attacked by his parents at the breeders and nearly dying he has passed through 3 homes. The last being a home with 3 young children where he growled at the father on the day he arrived and the police were called and he was poled and marked for destruction at the police kennels. He wasn't vaccinated because he wasn't going to live. He had been in the police kennels for 2 weeks when we picked him up and he still reeked of cannabis.Bear will need several visits so he can gain trust with you and will need to go to an adult only home.

Bella at OEH is a lovely confident dog with people once she is comfortable with you (she needs time to get to know you because she’s basically just a big scared baby).It doesn’t take long for her to realise you’re not a threat then she asks you for cuddles & treats.She is very strong on the lead and can be scared of some things when out on a walk (like loud noises etc, we’re not sure if she was walked much previously).She loves playing with water and trying to bite it.Bella is a beautiful girl and with a confident person willing to give her the time she needs to settle & grow her world she’s going to be a perfect companion.

My name is Blaze. Sadly my Mum was not well enough to look after me and she was waiting to have an operation. She was very sad when I had to leave.I needed quite a lot of retraining but I listened and decided to be a good boy.I love my walks and lots of fussing and playing with my toys. If you throw me a ball I will bring it back to you. My team say I am a very nice caring dog.Are you the one who can complete my jigsaw and give me a home that will be forever this time? I need you to patiently continue with my training. If you can be my special family, I will reward you with all my love and loyalty.

Brandy is a female Lurcher x Great Dane. She gets on well with other dogs and has benefitted from the training programme undertaken in the kennels to build up trust with adults.She is now much more friendly with the kennels team. Born in January 2015 Brandy walks lovely on the lead. There have been no issues in the kennels, but she can be nervous of strangers. Brandy is not a Great Dane size. She is a little smaller than a greyhound, classed as a medium sized dog.Not much is known of Brandy’s past apart from that she was at risk of being euthanised. Maybe it was linked to her unpredictability towards people, which has now improved due to her training programme.Looking towards a positive future – Brandy is now ready to live her best life! Brandy is a lovely dog. Several visits to the kennels will be required to build up a relationship of trust and confidence with Brandy. Conversations would need to take place with regard to any older children/young people in the household.

BRONX SAYS PLEASE LOVE MEBronx is a wonderful excitable boy who is very loving and loves having his tummy rubbed and going on walks. But he was badly beaten up and he still bears the emotional scars.We have mended him as much as we can and he has come such a long way but now he needs a loving home dedicated to righting the wrongs that have been done to him and being there just for him.He needs to be around people all the time and the only dog in the family. He is strong on the lead and will need a fenced secure environment. Also he tends to chew so would not suit anyone too houseproud!

Bruce is a Bulldog X.Bruce used to live outside and we believe he was used for ‘guard dog purposes’ before being rescued with the hope and promise of a better life.Looking towards a positive future Bruce is now ready to live his best life!Bruce is a lovely dog. Sadly it is not possible for Bruce to return to his old home and it is now time for him to start a new journey with a new loving forever home who will fill his heart with a new love.Bruce loves his walks but is a strong boy who will need a strong owner. He obeys his commands and loves his treats and his toys which keep him amused all the time. BRILLIANT NEWS – OUR BUTCH IS READY TO FIND THE HOME OF HIS DREAMSYour amazing support saved Butch’s life and this gorgeous boy has done his very best to maximise the chance you gave him to live and find his place in the world. He is such a lovely boy and has come on in leaps and bounds and we feel that he is ready to start to find the home of his dreams.He is naturally nervous of strangers after the hideous attack he suffered, but once you have his trust you would not find a more loving boy anywhere. He adores his walks and sometimes is so eager to go he tries to get in front and you cannot open the door! All the team love this big hearted boy to bits!We will be looking for an experienced adult home where Butch will feel safe, secure and loved so that he can finally unpack and put the past behind him. We will be asking potential homes to visit the kennels on several occasions to meet and bond with Butch.If you think you are the one that can give this totally gorgeous boy his loving forever home and complete his jigsaw, he will reward you with all the love in the world.
