April is looking for an experienced dog owner who ideally have had bully breeds before. She would like to be kept company all day whilst she settles in and access to her own private garden, so she has a safe space to call her own. She is looking to be the only pet in an adult only home. April is a great girl who needs some time getting to know you. Her confidence is growing each day, but new people can still be frightening for her, particularly men, so she needs a kind and patient owner who understand that she will need time and won’t overwhelm her. Given how worried she is around unfamiliar people, she cannot be placed in a home where there are children, including visiting. She does like her food (especially peanut butter) and is quick to learn, which will help her make new friends as well as work on her basic training. When she builds that relationship with you, her daft and goofy side flourishes- she is comical and very entertaining! She loves to play with her rope toys or squeaky toys and won’t hesitate to let you know what she wants! She adores her favourite people and won’t think twice about getting on your lap for a cuddle despite her size. She doesn’t mind walking with other dogs and is generally unfazed by them though hasn’t shown much interest in wanting to interact with them. During her stay, April has been assessed by an independent breed assessor who has deemed she is not a banned breed. She is just a wonderful girl who will bring unconditional love to her new owner.

Bailey is looking for an owner who can keep him company all day and it would be nice for him to have access to a garden. He is looking to be the only pet but could live with older children. Bailey is a happy, confident boy who likes saying hello to everyone he meets. He adores human contact and is at his most content having you close by. This does mean that he finds it difficult being on his own so he will have to have company all day- he would be a lovely companion to have around for a family or someone who works from home. Despite having only 3 legs, he gets around with no issue and enjoys his walks though does tire easily so he would like easy access to his own garden where he can be given plenty of mental enrichment whether that be a tasty filled kong or likimat. Bailey doesn’t quite know what to do with himself when he comes across other dogs though can make doggy friends with careful introductions. Bailey has had veterinary treatment during his stay at the Home. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

Cindy Lou is looking for an experienced dog owner who have owned large bully breeds like her before so they can appreciate their personalities. She requires her own private garden so she has a space to decompress and will require company all day to begin with. Cindy Lou needs to be the only pet in an adult only home. Cindy Lou is a fun-loving, bouncy, excitable girl with a big personality and even bigger exuberance for life. She is the definition of a bull in a China shop and is still learning that not every situation requires maximum excitement so she will be best suited to an owner who are confident in handling powerful dogs and are committed to her ongoing training. Cindy Lou is playful, rolls around like a wiggly worm and enjoys chewing on different toys. She loves her enrichment sessions that include likimats or tasty filled kongs which really does help her wind down, so it is important she is provided with this in her new home, especially whist she is settling in. During her stay, Cindy Lou has been assessed by an independent breed assessor who deemed that she is not a banned breed. She is just a comical girl who loves being involved and will undoubtedly reward her new owner with affection, fun and laughter.

Dahlia has now been matched to several possible homes so we are no longer accepting interest for her. Dahlia is looking for an experienced owner who have the patience to help her settle into her new home and will keep her company for most of the day to begin with. She is looking to be the only pet in an adult only home. Dahlia is a sweet girl who is finding kennel life difficult at the moment. She is friendly and affectionate, and our team can already see what a fantastic dog she is. We have no doubt that even more of her bubbly personality will shine through once she settles into a home environment. She is playful and full of energy so is always ready for fun. She will benefit from basic training, although she is highly food-motivated and will happily do just about anything for a piece of cheese! As Dahlia can become excitable, she will need physical stimulation though her new owner will need to understand the importance of providing her with plenty of mental enrichment. Not only will this tire her out, but it will also help her learn to take things at a calmer pace.

Dave is looking for an owner who can work on his basic manners, and he would like company for the majority of the day whilst he settles in. Dave would like to be the only pet though could live with teenagers. Dave is a happy, friendly boy who loves everyone he meets. He thrives on human company, so his new owner will need to be around for most of the day while he settles into his new home and gradually build up his leaving hours. He is fun-loving and full of energy, though this can lead to bouncy and boisterous behaviour, so he will need some ongoing training to help him keep all four paws on the ground. Dave loves playing with his toys and thoroughly enjoys enrichment activities that keep his mind busy. When he has had his fun for the day, he is very happy to snuggle up for cuddles and enjoys a good butt scratch. With his affectionate nature and zest for life, Dave is sure to make a wonderful companion and a much-loved member of his new family.

Ferry requires a very specific home with an expert owner who has a lot of experience with extremely demanding breeds. She requires an adult only household where there are no visiting children and where she will be the only pet. Her home must have access to a secure and private garden where she can do training throughout the day. Ferry is an intelligent, energetic girl, who has the eagerness and willingness to learn, but she is not a typical pet dog and will require careful handling and consistent training with ongoing jobs and activities to keep her active. As a highly driven working breed, she will require vigorous exercise on a daily basis as well as hours of stimulation to prevent her from becoming frustrated. Ferry does easily get carried away when she gets over excited which does result in her being too mouthy, so she has some favourite toys that she likes to carry which distract her from becoming too grabby with people. With the right owner Ferry has a huge amount of potential and is sure to bring unconditional loyalty to her person. She is very loving and affectionate with the people she knows and trusts, but she can be wary of strangers, so will require careful socialisation to bring out the best in her. She will thrive with someone who can give her continuous training where she can utilise her abilities appropriately through sport, detection or any other structured tasks suitable for her.

New people are scary for her, so she will require a few visits before she feels comfortable going home. She wants to please and does like enrichment activities that involve food which will help with her when making new friends. Once she has built that trust with you, she really lets her personality shine- She is devoted to her favourite people and affectionate.
