About Faith Animal Rescue

F.A.I.T.H. Animal Rescue (For Animals In Trouble There’s Hope) is a progressive rescue centre where animal welfare, including mental wellbeing, is prioritised alongside physical health. Dogs are housed in social kennels where they can interact and play, while cats enjoy a communal, home-style environment with enrichment features, alongside isolation facilities when needed. The rescue operates a full neutering policy, ensures all animals are vaccinated, microchipped and wormed, and carries out home checks before adoption. With a strict non-destruction policy—except on veterinary advice to end suffering—any animal unable to be rehomed will be given lifelong sanctuary.

When Misty first arrived, she was extremely nervous and found kennel life overwhelming. She has made lovely progress with our team, but she will need a very understanding and patient foster carer to continue helping her build confidence. If you’re looking for a dog to cuddle straight away and take on easy, relaxed walks, Misty is not the dog for you — at least not yet.Misty must live with at least one resident dog who is 100% friendly, confident, and good with both people and other dogs. She would be best suited to living with male dogs, as we feel this would give her the most stability and confidence. She takes great comfort from other dogs and relies on them for reassurance. A calm, steady “pack” will help show her that the world — and humans — aren’t so scary after all. With our staff, Misty has come a long way. We can now gently put a lead on her, walk her, and remove it again — but everything must be done at her pace (divas do not like to be rushed!). She may bark at strangers at first, but she is able to walk alongside new people as long as they don’t try to touch her. When Misty arrived, her coat was extremely long and matted. As she wasn’t comfortable being handled, we had to make the decision — for her welfare — to ask our vets to sedate her so she could be fully clipped. She tolerated this well, and she’s clearly feeling much more comfortable now without all that excess coat.If she feels overwhelmed or rushed, she may nip out of fear, so her new home must be fully prepared to go slowly and respect her boundaries at all times.Misty is not yet house-trained and will need access to a very secure garden, along with regular opportunities outside while she learns. We are looking for a home in the local Norfolk area so we can continue to provide full support as she progresses. No children, please. She hasn’t yet been tested with cats, but this can be arranged if needed. With time, patience, and kindness, we are confident that Misty will build a strong bond and learn to trust. For the right home, helping her blossom will be incredibly rewarding. If you have any questions or would like to discuss Misty further, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Very high energy easily excited. She is shy on first meeting with people but if ignored only take 5 minutes before she is demanding a fuss. She does need to get over her fear of new people and is getting better but will still bark at strangers on the lead if she thinks they are going to approach her. She is good to pick up and to check over loves a belly rub. She can be good with male dogs that are calm anything high energy she can't cope with. She needs lots of exercise and stimulation. Going to training classes somewhere would be recommended. Narla is the sweetest girl and is full of promise in the right home. The staff absolutely love her and we will miss her but she does need her own home to further her training. She will need to be the only pet. Please only apply if you can help her along her training road.

Woody is:️ Housetrained️ Travels well️ NOT destructive️ Very good on the lead️ Friendly and affectionate when relaxedHe mixes well with dogs here at the rescue and happily runs in the yard with five others. However, in his previous home he bullied the older resident dog, so he must be the only dog in the home, or possibly live with a confident, bossy female who won’t be pushed around.Woody struggles with resource guarding. He will guard food, toys, and even his bed if boundaries aren’t in place. This is not a dog for a first-time owner or someone unwilling to put the work in. He needs an experienced home that understands dog behaviour and will calmly and consistently manage and correct this behaviour, so it doesn’t escalate. He is not a dog who “just bites” — his guarding behaviour is predictable and manageable in the right hands. With structure, leadership and clear boundaries, we truly believe the sweet boy we see shines through. Woody’s Ideal Home:Adult-only home (no children)Experienced owner who understands resource guardingIdeally the only dog, or possibly with a confident femaleSomeone consistent, patient, and committedWoody doesn’t need perfection — he needs understanding, guidance, and someone willing to see past the stubborn streak to the loving dog underneath. If you think you could offer Woody the structured, experienced home he needs, please get in touch.

During that time, he didn’t have the steady routine he needed and is currently carrying more weight than is ideal. The good news? He has no known medical issues; will be vet checked and has already started a carefully managed weight-loss plan. He just needs a committed family to help him continue his journey at a slow and steady pace.At 7½ years old, he’s past the puppy chaos and is a true gentle giant. He’s calm, affectionate and happiest pottering alongside his people. He enjoys his walks, but these will need to be gradual and sensible while he builds up his fitness. The home he needs:A calm, settled environmentOwners committed to maintaining his diet and gentle exercise planOlder, sensible children would be fineHe’s good with other dogs out and about, but would be happiest as the only pet in the homeHe is a loving, loyal boy who deserves a fresh start with someone who sees past the extra weight and into the big soft heart underneath. If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are ready to help him, feel his very best, he may just be your perfect match https://www.faithanimalrescue.com/apply-to-adopt-a-dog
