Meet Aslan – a big, handsome boy looking for his forever home! Aslan is a stunning German Shepherd with a lot of love to give. This big lad is looking for a home with an experienced owner who understands the German Shepherd breed and can continue helping him with his training and guidance. Aslan would benefit from some ongoing work with loose lead walking and recall when off lead, but with the right person and a bit of time, he has so much potential. He does have a strong prey drive and will chase cats, so he will need a cat-free home. Meet Axel This handsome chap is Axel, who arrived at Ferne as a stray, so unfortunately his previous history is unknown. What we do know is that Axel is a bright and friendly boy with lots of potential. Axel has great recall, is friendly with other dogs both on and off lead, and is clean in his kennel. He’s also comfortable being left for 1–2 hours and travels well, making him a great companion for many lifestyles. Axel could live with older children (11+) following careful introductions. Due to his age and breed, he can be a bit bouncy and lively, so a home with very young children wouldn’t be suitable. He will need some ongoing training to walk nicely on a loose lead, and he does have a strong chase instinct with cats, so a cat-free home will be essential. He’s house trained, walks beautifully on a loose lead, and has great recall when out and about. He travels well in the car and enjoys his walks, happily socialising with other dogs when off lead. Meet Bobby – Your New Best Friend! This handsome little chap is Bobby, who came into Ferne through no fault of his own after his previous owners sadly had to move away. Now he’s ready to find a loving forever home where he can truly thrive. Bobby is a fun, active boy who loves life and would suit an owner who can give him plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He has a high prey drive around small furry animals, so a home without cats or other small pets would be best for him. The good news is Bobby already has some lovely manners. He is house trained, walks nicely on a loose lead, travels well in the car, and is comfortable being left alone for short periods (around 2–3 hours). He has previously lived with children aged 4 and over and enjoys playing ball – one of his favourite games! Bobby is friendly with other dogs when out and about off lead, but in the home he would prefer to be the only dog so he can soak up all the love and attention for himself.
