Megan is a beautiful red Labrador and Merlin is a handsome black Labrador. They have come into rescue due to tragic circumstances and, as Megan is very reliant on Merlin, we are looking for a home where they can remain together. They are both lovely, sweet-natured and easy-going dogs who are good with other dogs and people. Megan tends to follow Merlin’s lead and looks to him for reassurance. They have never lived with children, so we are looking for a home with children aged 16 years or over. They are both very affectionate dogs who want to be included in everything their family does, and they have the waggiest, happiest tails! They can both be strong on the lead initially, but settle once the initial excitement has worn off. They have never been off lead on a walk, so any new family would need to continue building their confidence and training gradually. We would prefer Megan and Merlin to go to a home where someone is around for most of the day, as this is what they are accustomed to. They are a lovely pair who have clearly formed a very strong bond, and we feel they would make wonderful companions for someone looking to welcome two loving Labradors into their home. Both dogs are microchipped, neutered and up to date with flea and worm treatments.If you are in rented accommodation you must have a letter stating permission to have a dog at the property. He is a very well-mannered boy who can be a little worried and shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe his affectionate nature soon shines through. Milo would be equally happy as an only dog or living with a calm female dog. More than anything, he loves being close to his person and is happiest curled up on your lap enjoying plenty of cuddles. He is house trained, walks nicely on the lead, travels well in the car and has lovely manners around the home, making him an easy companion to live with. As we do not know whether Milo has lived with children, we are looking for an adult-only home where he can settle at his own pace. Milo has no known health issues. Stanley is an adorable 5-month-old Miniature Dachshund puppy with a loving and affectionate nature. He is a very friendly little chap who enjoys meeting people and gets on brilliantly with other dogs. He would love to go to a home with a young playmate. Stanley is a clever boy who is eager to please, making him a lovely youngster to continue training with. He walks very well on the lead and travels well in the car, making him a great companion for days out and adventures. He is almost fully housetrained, with only the occasional accident if he gets distracted or forgets, so he will just need a little patience and consistency as he finishes learning. Stanley would love a home where he can continue to learn, be included in family life, and enjoy plenty of love, walks and cuddles. With his sweet nature and willingness to please, he is sure to make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. As Stanley is still too young to be neutered, he will be rehomed on a foster-to-adopt agreement. Forest of Dean Dog Rescue will arrange and cover the cost of his neutering when he is old enough, after which the adoption will be finalised.
