URGENT APPEAL FOR BENSON. ONE GORGEOUS LARGE BREED CROSS BREED. THE SWEETEST BOY.This adorable handsome cross breed is Benson. He is such a sweet boy with a big heart. Since her arrived two weeks ago (10th Feb 2026) poor Benson has not received many sideways glances. He is one affectionate boy and of the larger variety. Benson came to us from the stray kennels as an emergency when the block he was on became extremely full. Unfortunately nobody came to collect Benson so Benny came to us as an urgent request from the dog warden. This boy has a sweet and loving nature and is extremely happy to be cuddled by all people. Benson almost falls asleep in your arms. Benson has shown no issues with other dogs on his walks and has so much love to give. He adores playtimes and running however we have yet to capture him smiling on camera. His photos do not do justice to this stunning and beautiful boy. Benson goes out walking with other dogs and he has been no trouble. He is extremely clean in kennels and despite being a little sad at the moment he has coped with being homeless very well. Somewhere in this dogs life there has been care, TLC and love. What has happened? We will never know and sadly we always need to move forward to find these dogs a new life. Most of the dogs at Good Life are from local stray kennels and they remain our priority. We feel their pain and loss of their home and often a cruel abandonment. Benson would love a home with company and regular exercise. He desperately craves human contact and as always our aim is to find him just that. Benson has been great with other dogs however he is a large dog and many smaller pets will find him intimidating. Benson is now six years old and needs a new life with plenty of company. He deserves happiness and to find someone that just loves larger breed dogs. Benson is castrated and will be vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms. MEET BOBBY BLUE. ONE LARGE HANDSOME STAFFY CROSS BREED NEEDS A HOMEBobby is one beautiful large bull breed that just loves to please. He is extremely sweet and loves nothing better than being cuddled. Bobby has a beautiful temperament and loves his walks and his human contact. He is a larger boy with a big heart and is so eager to please. Poor Bobby is not a fan of being in kennels and finds the whole caboodle a little overwhelming. Although he is a large dog he walks well on his lead. He is happiest enjoying the outdoors and lapping up company. He loves the stream on his rural adventure and is absolutely ball bonkers. He will play ball all day if you allow. Bob came to us from a local stray kennels recently and has so much love to give. Sadly large breed dogs of bull breed mix are often a struggle to place in rescues. Blue Bob can be bouncy and boisterous and would benefit with some guidance and training for jumping up. We feel Bobby would be best suited in an adult home where someone just loves Staffies and their personalities. We would not rehome Bob with young children due to his bouncy nature and a preferred home is an an only dog. This boy has so much more to give and we would love to see him out of kennels and in home comforts as soon as possible. He loves people however is a large chap that can be boisterous and giddy. He will need a home that love to walk due to his energetic nature. Of curse this said a place next to you on the sofa would also make this large goofball very happy indeed. Finding Bobby the right love match is essential. He is not a lightweight and we feel a more experienced bull breed home would be perfect for him. Bobby can be found very often sulking in the front of his kennel. He isn't one to like his own company ad much prefers a human by his side. A home that will not leave bob as a lonely dog all day would be great. He is loving, very loyal and would make a brilliant dog for humans that love and understand his breed. Bob has been accepting of many dogs at the kennels however in life we cannot guarantee he will love ever dog he meets. After all we don't love every person we meet. WELCOME COCO - GORGEOUS OLDER JACK RUSSELLThis beautiful Jack Russell is Coco. She is a sweet girl of approximately ten years old. We were asked to support Coco through a Yorkshire dog warden after her owner passed away. Coco has so much more to give and is a healthy and active little lady who lives for a tennis ball. Off lead in the paddock Coco comes into her own and will play and follow you around. She shows no issues with other calm dogs however we know she has always lived as an only dog. This lady is comical, loving and active and now looking for a very special home. Our new girl is sweet natured, adores people and loves to sit on your knee for a cuddle. Coco is partially deaf however is no doddery old lass. If you feel she may be the girl for you then please read on. Help us to find this senior girl a very loving home.WHAT HOME DOES COCO NEED?Coco needs a home with plenty of company and a human that will cherish her. She has clearly been loved in the past and her heart must be broken at finding herself in kennels. There was no other option and we struggle to find foster homes. She is extremely friendly and loves to perch on your knee. Coco would suit a retired couple or person that still love a walk. An enclosed garden is a must so she can play all day if she wishes without an escape route for extra adventures. Time is very precious for all older dogs and we would love to find this lady a new start as soon as possible. Coco will be fully health checked prior any adoption. MEET HOLLY. ONE VERY ACTIVE, LOVING STAFFY.This stunning Staffordshire Bull Terrier is Holly. Holly is looking for a new home as she does not get along with the other dog she lives with. She is fully vaccinated and neutered and is a loving Staffy with plenty of energy. Holly loves an adventure and is a comical lady that would be a Staffy fans dream girl. Holly is four years old and her life has been turned upside as she has lived in the same home all her life. She is very active, fun-loving pocket rocket that loves stealing the watering can, the longline lead and anything else that can be entertainment. She is extremely loving when back inside and would like nothing better than a sofa space. Holly has been mixed with other family member dogs and has been amazing and accepting until recently when altercations have arisen. Holly would benefit from off lead fields and love to burn off that energy that Staffords possess. She is very playful, boisterous with the biggest heart. As Staffy owners and lovers will understand these dogs are not for the faint of heart but possess the largest characters and connection with humans. Holly will ignore other dogs on her walks most of the time however she cannot live with other pets. Her squabble with another dog in the home now sadly means that Holly is searching for a new start. WELCOME LUCY - ONE SWEETHEART ROTTIE CROSSBREEDLucy is the sweetest and most loving dog. She has the kindest nature and is a sweet soul that adores people and human touch. Lucy is happiest in your arms, having a belly rub and rolling in the grass. This adorable Rottweiler cross was due to be put to sleep at a Yorkshire stray kennels due to having arthritis in her back legs. We could not let this happen as she has so much more to give and live for. Lucy has a wonderful nature and is now on mild pain relief for her arthritis from our vets. She adores her slow walks and more than anything she loves her time off lead at the kennels to potter at leisure. Lucy will sit with you for hours having cuddles and lapping up attention on centre stage. She is a joy. This lady is possibly five to six years old. She has clearly produced many puppies in her life and we now ensure her future days are all about her. Lucy has shown no issues with other dogs at kennels however a preferred home would be as the lady of the manor. We feel she would be happiest enjoying the limelight with her adopter. WELCOME WITH OPEN ARMS THE GORGEOUS POPPY. ONE LOVING LABRADOR CROSS PATTERDALEPoppy is one fantastic dog. She is one years old but super fit and active. She loves life despite finding herself as a homeless dogs at a Yorkshire stray kennels recently. Poppy is fun-loving, water crazy and is a typical Labrador mix. She dives and splashes in the paddling pool at kennels and is a real water babe for sure. Poppy has been health checked at teh vets and was amazing with everyone there that crossed her path. She is extremely friendly and has shown no issues with other dogs at the kennels. She has been extremely clean in her kennels, well behaved and a gem of a rescue dog. Poppy would suit a home that love walking and still have plenty of get up and go. Nine years old is not old for a Labrador cross breed terrier. GORGEOUS QUEENIE. BEAUTIFUL LURCHER LADY. QUEENIE IS ADORABLE. PLEASE SUPPORT.This gorgeous girl is a real sweetheart and so loving and came to us in September 2025 from a Yorkshire stray kennels. Queenie has recently been returned to us after six months in a home. She is extremely sad as are we. Queenie bonds very deeply with one human and will need a home with a couple or preferably a one to one home. If you are a couple a home where people offer the same volume of time and attention would be needed. CALLS ARE WELCOME TO DISCUSS QUEENIE'S NEEDS.. She is approximately five years old and was not microchipped on arrival. Queenie is now looking for a new start in an active home with loads of company. She adores a cuddle and being with people and has also been good with most other dogs on her walks. Queenie has won all our hearts with her affectionate nature and fun-loving outlook on life. Originally Queenie came to us as a priority at the stray kennels due to an infected salivary gland in her neck. After being seen by the vets many times the decision was made to remove the gland. This healed very well and she has no health issues. She is update with her vaccines and has all been spayed as part of our adoption policy. We know Queenie has so much love to give and deserves her life of love and luxury. Queenie loves to say hi to people and is now struggling at being back in kennels. Queenie needs her time to shine as soon as possible. She particularly loves to sniff about and poke her long nose into whatever is laying about for a good old nosey. This will hopefully enable her not to focus on one human and share the bonding when settling in. She will need someone that can offer company and a patient human that will allow her the time to adjust to a new environment. This applies for all rescue dogs who have been abandoned and often mistreated. We know Queenie is one incredible girl. Queenie has shown no issues with other dogs at kennels or on her walks however is now extremely anxious in the kennel environment. A quieter home would be ideal and in a less busy household would suit her well. WELCOME RED RUBY - NOW LOOKING FOR LOVERuby is an amazing Border Terrier cross. She is sweet, loving and very friendly. Red Ruby came to us under sad circumstances and was rescued by a kind human. She had lived a difficult life however sadly the lady that cared for her for a week did own cats. Ruby doesn't get along with cats. To anyone interested in Ruby we can give you more details of her life. We do not want to post publicly. Lucy needs an active home and with someone who adore Borders. She has a loving nature and loves walking and the outdoors. At five years old she has a long life in front of her and we ensure she now lives this to the full. Ruby enjoys running around the paddock at kennels however is timid in kennels. We feel she ideally needs a home as the only pet with mountains of company. She enjoys a fuss and will roll and drag her belly along the grass. She is endearing and despite having interest she is still waiting to find her perfect match. Please read on to see what home Ruby needs. This lady has passed a full health check at the vets and has no health issues. She is not a full Border Terrier and is not a pedigree however this should not make any difference to all you rescue supporters. Red Ruby is one gorgeous girl.WHAT HOME DOES RED RUBY NEED?Ruby needs a home with comforts and love. An active home whwre someone has time and lots of love to show. We know her past life has not been perfect. A calmer home without small children is ideal. An adult home or couple that enjoy the outdoors but also love a cuddle on the sofa in the evenings. Ruby ideally needs an only pet home however is easily managed on her walks. Kennels are not an ideal environment for dogs long term and nothing can ever compensate for a home and luxury living. We welcome calls to discuss Ruby's past and we ensure her future is one of love, TLC and an active one that she will enjoy. All you Border Terrier fans out there please consider this girl. Lucy will need a garden, kind humans and someone worthy of her love.Rescue dogs have often suffered difficult lives and some form of trauma due to abandonment. We ask people to consider the huge commitment and lifestyle change of owning and adopting a dog. Rescue dogs need time to settle back into a home. This can be an immediate thing or take at five weeks plus. If you are dedicated and understand that all rescue dogs need time to adjust then we would love to hear from you.
