About Greenacres Rescue

Greenacres Rescue is an all-animal rescue centre based in the heart of Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, founded in June 2008. The charity provides sanctuary and care to animals of all kinds, making it the only rescue of its type in the county and a vital haven for creatures great and small. While rooted locally, Greenacres Rescue supports animals across the UK, working tirelessly to give as many as possible a safer, brighter future. Adoption is at the heart of their mission, offering people the chance to transform an animal’s life—and their own—through compassion and companionship. Visitors are welcome to explore the animals currently in care and learn more about the adoption journey toward a loving forever home.

Could You Offer Minnie the Retirement She Deserves?Minnie is a beautiful 14 year old Collie who is searching for a very special long-term foster home. When she first arrived in our care, she was in a heartbreaking state. Years of flea allergies had left her missing much of her coat, and she was in poor condition. But with time, patience and the right treatment, Minnie has blossomed into the happiest, sweetest old lady. Her coat has grown back beautifully, her tail never stops wagging, and she has rediscovered her love of life. She is gentle, affectionate and kind, and all she dreams of now is a warm bed, a loving family and a peaceful place to enjoy her golden years. We're looking for a long-term foster home in Pembrokeshire, with carers who are able to use Fenton Vets for her veterinary care. Minnie may have months, she may have a few wonderful years ahead of her – no one can say for certain – but we would love every single one of those days to be spent surrounded by love, comfort and kindness. As one of our long-term foster dogs, Minnie would become part of your family just as if you had adopted her, while Greenacres Rescue remains responsible for her veterinary costs. If you think you could open your heart and home to this truly deserving girl, we'd love to hear from you. Let's give Minnie the happy retirement she's waited so long for.
