These boys deserve a home as wonderful as their big hearts. They are an absolute joy to have around and would definitely suit a home where their humans are nearby. They can be left alone for short periods and are more than happy enjoying each other’s company with no issues at all. They are fully housetrained, although they do require a little encouragement to go out if it’s raining! They are early risers and absolutely LOVE their food — they will definitely let you know when it’s mealtime. Aside from that, they are happy, gentle boys who love nothing more than sofa snuggles. Their favourite thing is being on the bed with their humans and they will very happily take the offer of being under the covers if allowed. They are a delight to walk on the lead. Off lead they tend to stay nearby, although their recall does need a bit of work. The good news is that they are very food motivated, so with some dedicated training this shouldn’t take long at all. There has been some occasional counter surfing, so as with most sighthounds, food left on the edge of the counter is definitely a risk! Apollo is a little more timid, quiet and reserved — the sweetest boy. Axel is the more confident one and adores a fuss as much as humanly possible. They are polite with other dogs, although they can sometimes get a little excited when sniffing. With a bit of continued training this won’t be an issue, and could happily live with other canine companions, or having lots of walking buddies! They travel well and wait politely to get in and out of the car. Dawson is a delightful young lad, bursting with charm and happiness. He is a bright, cheerful boy who has settled beautifully into our kennel environment and truly thrives with a consistent structure and routine. A real foodie at heart, Dawson enthusiastically dives headfirst into any enrichment activity you offer him. Watching him use his brain and follow his nose is an absolute joy, and he tackles every challenge with eagerness and curiosity. Dawson has also spent time in a home environment, where he settled wonderfully after a short adjustment. He enjoys relaxing on the sofa and soaking up affection, we’ve even caught him drifting off to sleep on people’s laps, content and secure. He walks nicely on the lead and continues to grow in confidence around the outside world. Since arriving with us, Dawson has made fantastic progress and now enjoys peaceful countryside walks, taking everything in at his own pace. Playtime is another favourite for Dawson, especially when balls are involved. He bounds around with pure joy, his playful spirit shining through in every game. We’ve also seen how much comfort Dawson takes from his kennel companion, often curled up beside her in the evenings, showing that he could happily live alongside another sighthound friend. Dawson is looking for kind, patient owners who can guide and support him as he continues to grow in confidence. Meet Deacon, a loveable boy who is looking for his forever home. Deacon is a bright, happy chappy. He is confident and happy when greeting familiar and non familiar people. Deacon is food motivated and engages well with enrichment activities like snuffle mats, busily sniffing out the tasty treats he can find. Providing him with these kinds of activities regularly is a great way to boost his confidence and develop a trusting relationship with him. While still fairly new to us, Deacon has spent some time in our home environment, he showed us that he can settle well and was clean while in the house, he can also climb stairs. Deacon can sometimes be strong on the lead, we currently walk him with a double ended lead to help manage this. He does walk well when there are little distractions, however he'd much prefer quieter walking areas to mooch about in. He has embraced his off-lead time in our secure field, volunteers have described him as a "gentle giant" when playing, often softly playing with toys and then wanting to be with you.

Fflur is fantastic petite girl who has settled in well to our kennel routine here at Hillcrest. She is a confident, happy girl who greets familiar and unfamiliar people with ease. Fflur walks nicely on the lead and has enjoyed an off-site adventure, she took this in her stride and coped well and remained calm when she saw non sighthound breeds in the distance. Fflur has spent time in our home environment, she settles well and enjoys human companionship.

Meet Fleetwood, a wonderful boy who has adapted brilliantly to kennel life here at Hillcrest. He’s a friendly and confident dog, happily greeting both familiar faces and new people alike. Fleetwood has spent time in the home environment on site here at Hillcrest, where he settled in well and showed his affectionate nature, he loves nothing more than leaning in for a fuss and a cuddle. He truly is a gentle, loving companion. He has also enjoyed trips off-site, remaining calm when passing dogs of other breeds of dog, he can be strong on the lead at time, but once settled he walks well. Fly is searching for a new home through no fault of his own, and he truly is a wonderful boy who deserves a loving family to call his own. Fly is an affectionate, happy lad who enjoys the comforts of home life. He is house trained and settles well in the home, making him a lovely companion to have around. He currently lives with a small non-sighthound breed dog and has shown he can happily share his space. He loves getting out and about on his daily walks, taking in all the sights and smells. Fly also has a playful side and enjoys a good run around and spending time with his toys. Fly is good with other dogs and could potentially live with another calm dog in the home, pending a successful meet at the centre. This lovely boy is looking for a forever home where he will be loved, cherished, and thoroughly pampered. In return, Fly will bring plenty of affection, companionship, and joy to his new family.

Meet Morris, the Bubbly, Tail-Wagging Legend! Say hello to Morris, our friendly, happy-go-lucky lad who greets everyone with a big smile and a wagging tail! This cheerful boy has a zest for life and a heart full of love to share. Morris walks well on the lead and has been on a few off-site adventures, where he’s shown us just how much he enjoys exploring the world. He’s still learning how to handle meeting other dogs, but he’s made great progress, and with a little patience and continued guidance, we’re confident he’ll keep improving. He’s also had some time in a home environment , and absolutely loved it! Morris adores human company and quickly makes himself at home. We can already picture him stretched out on your sofa, roaching away without a care in the world.

Meet Neve , Our Beautiful, Happy-Go-Lucky Girl! Neve is a stunning girl with a wonderfully cheerful personality. She’s the kind of dog who brightens every day with her enthusiasm and gentle nature. Whether she’s zooming around the paddocks or tossing around her favourite toys, Neve knows how to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest! She has also spent some time in a home environment, where her playful and affectionate side truly shone. She settled in well and showed us just how loving and sweet she can be when given the chance. When out and about, Neve can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed around non-sighthound dogs. She’ll need a calm, confident adopter who can support her and guide her as she learns about other breeds of dog. Neve is looking for a family who will love her for her joyful spirit, give her space to play, and help her navigate the world at her own pace.

Meet Parker, a truly beautiful boy with a wonderful personality to match. He absolutely oozes confidence and greets both familiar faces and new people with ease, making him a joy to be around. Since arriving with us, Parker has settled brilliantly into our routine. He’s clean in his kennel overnight and has also spent time in a home environment on site, where he continued to relax and adjust well. Parkers favourite activity is playtime, he takes great joy is charging around our paddock and throwing his toys around, a true joy to watch, he would benefit from a secure garden where he can let off some steam! Parker has enjoyed several off-site trips and takes everything in his stride. He happily jumps into the van unaided, travels calmly, and has shown great composure when spotting non-sighthound breeds from a distance. She thrives on a stable routine and really enjoys the comfort of a home environment, where she relaxes easily and loves spending quality time with staff and volunteers. This affectionate girl has so much love to give, While she can be a little nervous at first, once she gets to know you and understands her surroundings, she blossoms into a wonderfully calm and loving companion. Penny has even been on an off-site adventure,she would benefit from some ongoing guidance around meeting non-sighthound breeds, but with patience and consistency, she will continue to grow in confidence.

Meet Prince, a big boy with an even bigger heart. Prince has settled in well with us at Hillcrest and is enjoying a stable routine. He is confident when greeting people and makes everyone smile with his loveable personality. He has enjoyed spending time getting to know us all and enjoying various activities at Hillcrest, including spending time in our training hut completing enrichment based activities and spending time in our home environment where he settled well.
