BuckinghamshireHere’s a note from Boyo's fosterer:“Two months ago, I started fostering this handsome boy; like many rescue dogs, he needed time to decompress, feel safe and learn that a home could be a place of comfort rather than uncertainty. Boyo had been in kennels for 3 months and I'll admit the first couple of weeks weren't the easiest but, wow, what a change now he's used to a home environment. Yes he has a past where things haven't worked out well, but don't we all!The transformation has been incredible to watch. As he's become comfortable with home life, Boyo's true personality has emerged, and it's impossible not to fall in love with him. He isn't a high-energy dog demanding constant walks or endless entertainment. In fact, he's remarkably low maintenance and happiest when he's curled up beside you on the sofa, enjoying cuddles and companionship.He's actually a gentle soul who loves routine, being close to his people and is content just being part of everyday life. Whether you're watching television, reading a book or working from home, he'll happily settle down next to you and simply enjoy being by your side. He doesn't ask for much, just companionship, affection and a place where he feels safe.He's also a very intelligent boy who learns quickly and genuinely wants to be a "good boy". He thrives on praise and takes direction well (treats always help!). Watching Boyo's confidence grow over the last two months has been incredibly rewarding.When visitors arrive, he can sometimes get a little excited at first, but once he's said hello and the initial excitement has passed, he soon settles back down and relaxes.Because he forms such strong bonds, he does experience some separation anxiety. This means any time spent alone will need to be introduced gradually and built up slowly, allowing him to gain confidence and feel secure. With patience and consistency, he's already shown just how adaptable and trusting he can be.What Boyo wants more than anything now is a place to finally call his own. After everything he's achieved in the last two months, he deserves the love, security and stability of a forever home. He has done the hard work, shown how wonderfully he can adapt to home life, and now he's ready to start his next chapter with a family of his own.I've seen just how much progress he's made, how much love he has to give and how desperately he wants to belong to someone. This wonderful boy deserves a place where he can finally put down roots, feel secure and know that the people he loves aren't going anywhere.”
