Meet Alfonzo – Our Gorgeous Greyhound Prince Alfonzo hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but this beautiful greyhound boy is ready to find the special home he truly deserves. He was sadly found in a pound, and life hasn’t always been kind to him. His sight is fading – one vet believes it may be the result of blunt trauma in the past – but despite everything, Alfonzo’s gentle and loving nature shines through. He is currently on eye drops, and Hector’s Greyhound Rescue will remain responsible for all eye-related vet bills for the rest of his life, so his future family can focus on giving him love and comfort. The home Alfonzo needsAn experienced home with understanding owners.Ideally rural or semi-rural, with a large, secure garden where he can safely play and potter about.Older children only, and no other pets – Alfonzo deserves to be the only prince of the household. He isn’t able to go on long walks, so a family who are happy to enjoy time with him at home and play in the garden will be perfect.Like many sighthounds, Alfonzo still has a high prey drive, so when out in public he will need to be walked on lead and wear his muzzle. Why Alfonzo?Alfonzo is incredibly loving and loyal. He may not need big adventures, but what he longs for is companionship, comfort, and kindness. After everything he has been through, he deserves a calm, stable, and devoted forever home where he can finally feel safe and cherished.Racing name: Alfredo CourtI walk well on the lead6+yearsI need to be in a home without catsI am happy to be alone for short periodsI am not small dog friendlyI am housetrainedI need work on my recall
