Hi, my name is Albert, and I’m looking for my forever home!I have lived with my family since I was just a baby, and I’m very lucky that they are continuing to care for me while I wait to find the perfect home. I’ve had lots of love throughout my life and now I’m ready to find a family who can help me enjoy the next chapter of my journey.I’m a friendly and affectionate boy weighing around 19kg, and I have so much love to give. I absolutely adore people and I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my humans. My favourite thing in the world is having my back scratched, and if you find the right spot, you’ll be rewarded with my famous full body wiggle!I’m a really adaptable lad and I take new experiences in my stride. I’ve been lucky enough to go on holidays with my family, visit new places, and meet lots of different people. When I came to the centre, I settled in brilliantly and showed everyone what a relaxed and friendly boy I can be.At home, I’m a very good boy. I’m house trained, crate trained, and I’m comfortable relaxing in my crate. I’m happy being separated with baby gates or closed doors, and I’m not destructive. I’m currently coping well with being left for longer periods due to my family’s work commitments, but I’d really love a home where I can spend more time being part of family life.I can be left for around 4 hours once I’m settled, and I could potentially be left for a full working day if I had support such as a dog walker or someone popping in for a midday break.I enjoy my walks and love having time to sniff and explore. I’m not a dog who needs endless miles, but I do enjoy getting out and about, taking my time, and finding a nice sunny spot in the garden for some sunbathing! I walk nicely on the lead and, although I might pull and be strong towards an interesting smell, I’m generally an easy-going walking companion.I’m a polite boy around other dogs and have shown that I can enjoy their company. I haven’t lived in a home with another dog before, so I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog and have all the attention to myself. I would love to have doggy walking friends to enjoy adventures with, and I’m happy to share my walks with calm canine companions.I’ve grown up around children of all ages, I could live with children aged 8 years and over, as long as they are confident and don’t mind that I can jump up! My new family will need to help me learn calm greetings and understand that my enthusiasm. One thing my new family will need to understand is that sometimes I can have some very big feelings. When I get these, especially when meeting new people, receiving lots of attention, or being handled for a while, I can become a little overwhelmed. I might jump up or try to hump when I’m feeling this way, but I respond really well to calm guidance and reassurance.I’m a good traveller once I’m in the car and can happily travel for around 2 hours in my crate in the boot. I can sometimes be a little unsure about getting into the car and may need some encouragement, but once I’m loaded, I settle quietly.I may potentially be able to live with cats or other small animals, but as I haven’t lived with them before, this would need careful introductions. If you do have a cat, you will need to live close to the centre (PE20 2BB) so we can arrange a home visit and make sure it is the right match for everyone. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, make you smile with my silly ways, and reward you with endless affection, I might just be the boy you’ve been waiting for.Love,Albert Key info: Children 8+, Small breed, Cat friendly, Housetrained, Secure garden, Dog friendly - on walks, Can be left alone for 4 hrs

Hello… I’m Bitzy. ️If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who thinks she’s a lap dog, no matter her size, then I think we might just be the perfect match. My favourite place in the whole world is snuggled up as close to my people as physically possible. I absolutely adore cuddles and will happily squish myself onto your lap, lean all of my weight into you, and soak up every bit of love and affection you have to give. Personal space? I’ve never really understood the concept! If you’re looking for a little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side, then I’m definitely your girl.Everyone who meets me falls in love with my sweet nature. I absolutely adore people and have the kindest, gentlest heart. I’m a big softie who simply wants to love and be loved, and I promise I’ll repay your kindness with endless cuddles, waggy tails and unconditional devotion.Life hasn’t always been straightforward for me, and because of that I’m hoping to find a family who can give me what I’ve always deserved: stability, routine and lots of love. Once I know I’m safe, my beautiful personality really shines. I’m happiest when life is predictable and I know my people are there for me.I’m fully house trained and have lovely manners around the home. As much as I love being with my family, I’ll need any time left on my own built up gradually so I can learn that you’ll always come back for me.When it comes to walks, I much prefer peaceful adventures where I can take my time having a good sniff without too many other dogs around. Busy places can make me feel a little uncomfortable, so quieter walks are much more my style. Give me a calm countryside stroll or a peaceful wander with my favourite humans and I’ll be one very happy girl.I’m looking for a home with children aged 14 years and over who can understand when I just want to relax and enjoy some fuss. I’d also like to be the only dog in the home, and I don’t want to live with cats or other pets. I could happily share my home with small furry animals as long as they are safely housed in secure enclosures out of my way.More than anything, I’m searching for someone who wants a best friend. Someone who doesn’t mind a big cuddle monster climbing onto the sofa beside them… or on top of them! I promise to fill your home with love, your heart with happiness and your lap with plenty of Bitzy. If you’ve got a cosy sofa, a warm lap and lots of love to give, I’ll bring the cuddles.Love always,Bitzy boo xxxxKey info: Large breed, Children 14+, Housetrained, Secure garden, Only pet in the home, Needs to build leaving hours

Cecil

BreedLurcher

Hello! My name’s Cecil, and I’m a handsome lurcher of around three years old. If you’re looking for a gentle, friendly best friend, I might just be your perfect match.I absolutely love meeting new people and am always happy to make a new friend. I’ve got a sweet nature and plenty of love to give, but I might need a little patience while I settle into home life. It’s likely I’ve never lived in a house before, so things like sofas, TVs, washing machines and all those everyday household routines may be completely new to me. With kindness, reassurance and a little time, I’m sure I’ll soon work it all out.I’ll need someone who can help me build up my confidence with being left alone gradually by increasing my alone time nice and slowly, however the team does believe I should be able to be left alone for up to 2hours once fully settled! Like many lurchers, I can also be a bit of an opportunist – if you’ve left something tasty on the kitchen counter, I might just see it as fair game! Don’t worry though, with good management and a consistent routine, I’ll soon learn the house rules.I’d love to have some doggy walking friends to join me on adventures, but I’d prefer not to share my home with cats or other small furry animals. There is also a chance i could live with another dog, pending we make best friends at the centre first! If there are children in my new family, they’ll need to be aged 11 or over so everyone can enjoy living together comfortably. One thing I do need is a lovely, fully secure garden with 6ft fencing to keep me safe. I absolutely adore having a good zoom around, and I’d be over the moon if you could take me to secure paddocks where I can really stretch my long legs and run to my heart’s content. Swipe through my pictures to see a video of me being an absolute goofball! If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate boy who’s ready to discover just how wonderful family life can be, I can’t wait to meet you. All I need is a little patience, plenty of love, and someone to help me become the happy, confident companion I know I can be.Love,Cecil Key info: Large breed, Children 11+, Secure garden, Dog friendly - on walks, Dog friendly - in the home, Can be left alone for 2 hrs

Hi! We’re Daisy & Emy We’re a pair of best friends looking for our forever home together. We’ve been by each other’s side for a long time, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.I’m Daisy, and I can be a little shy when we first meet. She’s my confidence booster, and together we make the perfect team.I’m Emy! I like to think of myself as Daisy’s cheerleader. I help her feel safe, and we both enjoy the simple things in life—gentle walks, cosy naps, and lots of affection from our favourite people. We’re friendly with other dogs when we’re out and about, and we could even share our new home with another dog of a similar size and temperament, as long as we all get along when we meet first. We enjoy our walks, but we’re not looking for marathon hikes—we’re much happier with shorter strolls followed by a comfy spot to relax. We’re hoping for a calm, loving home with children aged 11 or over. We’d rather not live with cats or small furry pets, but we’re happy being left for short periods if you need to pop out.If you’re looking for two gentle, loyal girls who will fill your home with quiet companionship and twice the love, we’d love to meet you. Guinness

Age2 years
BreedSiberian Husky

Hi, I’m Guinness. Before you fall in love with my face, I’d really like you to read all about me because I’m looking for a very special home.I’m around 2 years old and I came into rescue as a stray, so nobody really knows what my life was like before. What everyone does know is that I’m not your typical dog. The world can feel like a very big, scary place to me, and I need people who will understand that.I’m a bit of a nervy nelie, and trusting humans doesn’t come naturally to me just yet. I won’t be the kind of dog who rushes over for cuddles on day one, and if you’re looking for an instant best friend, I probably won’t be the right match. What I need is someone who is willing to let me go at my own pace, giving me all the time and space I need without ever pushing my boundaries or expecting too much too soon. The most important thing you need to know is that I must live with a calm, confident and tolerant female dog. Having a lovely girl by my side gives me so much reassurance and helps me feel brave enough to try new things. I’m currently living in a foster home with two wonderful female Labradors, and they’ve been teaching me that life isn’t quite so scary after all.I’m slowly beginning to show everyone the real me. I’ve started enjoying little bits of fuss from my foster mum and some of the staff I know well, and every now and then I get the zoomies and let my goofy, silly personality shine through. Those moments are incredibly special because they show that underneath all my worries is a sweet boy who is absolutely capable of love. I just need someone patient enough to help me find it.At the moment, I can’t head out for walks like most dogs. We’re taking everything one tiny step at a time, and although my confidence on lead is growing, it will take lots of patience, gentle training and realistic expectations. I may one day enjoy exploring the world, or I may always prefer the comfort of home, and that’s okay too.I thrive on routine, predictability and having safe spaces where I can relax. A quiet home with patient people will help me continue to blossom. Once I’m fully settled, my leaving hours will need to be built up gradually, and for now I can be left for around one to two hours.I could potentially live with caged animals following successful introductions, and I could also live with sensible children aged 16 years and over who understand that I need space and won’t expect me to interact before I’m ready.I’m not difficult. I’m not naughty. I’m not broken. I simply haven’t learnt that people can be kind, and I’m looking for someone who will show me that, one gentle day at a time.If you’re the kind of person who celebrates the little victories, understands that progress isn’t always measured in giant leaps, and believes every dog deserves the chance to feel safe and loved, then I might just be the boy you’ve been waiting for.Key info: Medium breed, Secure garden, Needs to be housetrained, Dog friendly - in the home, Can be left alone for 2 hrs, Needs a canine companion in the home

Harper

Age8 years
BreedGerman Shepherd

Hi, I’m Harper I’m a beautiful 7-year-old crossbreed with a big heart, a clever mind, and so much love to give. I’m searching for a special forever home where I can truly shine.I’m currently thriving in my foster home, where I’ve proven to be an absolute pleasure to have around. I enjoy all of life’s little luxuries, from cosy sofas to plenty of fuss from my favourite humans. I love to lean in for cuddles and a bottom scratch. I am very calm around the home.I’m a friendly and loyal girl who enjoys being involved in everyday life. From outdoor adventures to cosy evenings at home, I’m happy wherever the day takes us. If you work from home like my foster family, I’ll happily be your four-legged colleague, quietly keeping you company during meetings. My foster family have been especially impressed with how well I handle visitors. Younger and older guests, to tradespeople coming into the house, including the painter, I’ve been friendly, calm, and well-behaved. I take new faces in my stride and am happy to politely welcome people into my home, even giving special visitors “happy helicopter” tail to show I’m happy to see them. Once the introductions are over and everyone has given me a little fuss, you’ll usually find me happily stretched out nearby while everyone chats over a coffee or enjoys a Sunday roast. And if there happen to be a few tasty leftovers going spare, I certainly wouldn’t say no!I have excellent house manners and have settled beautifully into a household routine. I’m fully housetrained, clean in the home, and know how to relax and make myself comfortable while being a respectful housemate.I’m a bright and intelligent girl, and everyone who meets me is surprised when they hear my age! I enjoy getting out and about, exploring new places, and having little activities to keep my mind engaged. I enjoy the occasional puzzle game, something delicious to chew, a sniffing game, and learning new things, but I’m not all go, go, go. I’m equally happy relaxing at home, stretching out on the sofa, or enjoying a cosy evening with my family after a nice walk.A secure garden is important for me, giving me a safe space to stretch my legs, relax, and enjoy sunny days outdoors. You’ll often find me happily chilling in the garden, keeping an eye on the world or soaking up the sunshine. As I do have a high prey drive, a home without cats or small furry pets would be best.My ideal home would be somewhere relatively peaceful, with fewer encounters with other dogs. While I can sometimes find other dogs a little overwhelming, I’m making great progress and would benefit from calm, consistent support to continue building my confidence.I could happily live with sensible children aged 11 and over who understand that every dog needs a little time and space to settle into a new environment.Once I’ve settled into my new home and feel comfortable with my routine, I could be left be left for a couple of hours at a time.I’ve got plenty of love, loyalty, and companionship to offer. Now all I need is a forever home to share it with, a place where I can make happy memories and truly belong. If you’re looking for a gentle, well-mannered girl to join your home, I could be the perfect addition to your lifeLoveHarper Key info: Children 11+, Medium breed, Secure garden, Only pet in the home, Can be left alone for 2 hrs
