About Kent Greyhound Rescue

Kent Greyhound Rescue is a volunteer-run registered charity (1138841) based near Hythe in South East Kent, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds. Rehoming around 175 dogs each year, the charity operates independently of the racing industry and receives no industry funding, relying entirely on volunteer-led fundraising. Many of the dogs come from racing or breeding backgrounds, while others arrive via pounds after being abandoned. Rehabilitation begins as soon as a dog is accepted into care, ensuring each one is carefully prepared and matched to a safe, loving home.

Sammy is a VERY lazy dog – he will tolerate a walk if he has to – he likes to watch out of the window to see what the neighbours are up to – or a potter around the front garden for the same reasons – but then his bed calls out and he has a strong urge for an another nap. Sammy is a real sofa bubby – he will make the perfect companion dog for someone who like watching movies, with his arm around his best buddy dog, more than an owner who wants to go one hikes at the weekend. Sammy loves for his comfort, cuddles and snacks – in that orders.
