About Kit Wilson Trust

Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare was founded in 1975 following a legacy from Katherine Wilson and has since grown into a major rescue centre in Hadlow Down, East Sussex. Caring for over 500 animals and birds, the Trust rescues abandoned, neglected and injured animals, providing high standards of care until they are rehomed, rehabilitated or, where necessary, given lifelong sanctuary. Wildlife rescue and an emergency helpline also form part of its work, alongside close collaboration with other local services. Central to its founding policy—and still a core principle today—is the promotion of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of unwanted animals in need of rescue.

BreedLabrador x Lurcher

Callie is very energetic and active, she loves to play with other dogs especially if they are a similar energy level. Unfortunately, Callie has had an unsettled start in life, having had several homes. Therefore, she is in desperate need of a stable home that is willing to commit time to training with structure. Can sometimes be wary of strangers approaching. Callie is very loyal and loving with a fun personality.‍

Mist, a 2 years old female Border Collie available for adoption from Kit Wilson Trust in East Sussex

Mist

East Sussex
SexFemale
Age2 years
BreedBorder Collie

We are looking for a very special home to take on young Mist. She was born deaf and therefore is going to need an experienced person who is not only used to the quirks of the breed but will also be fully committed to training. She is super smart and is already responding well to certain hand commands and will do brilliantly on a one to one. She is great with people, really friendly, playful and gentle for her age. With other dogs she is good meeting them outside but has certain issues in the house particularly around food which would make having an existing dog problematic. Although there may be challenges to overcome in the early days, Mist would give her love back ten fold and she would be so rewarding and a devoted companion.
