About Labrador Retriever Rescue

Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England is a volunteer-run, breed-specific rescue charity dedicated to rehoming purebred Labrador Retrievers and Labrador crosses across Southern England. Operating independently and without a central rescue centre, the charity relies on foster homes, kennelling, and veterinary support funded entirely through donations and fundraising. In the past year alone, the team has taken in and successfully rehomed over 450 Labradors, despite increasing demand for rescue places. Supported by a network of foster carers and experienced trustees with decades of rescue knowledge, the charity focuses on careful assessment and responsible matching to ensure the best possible outcomes for both dogs and adopters.

Gigi is a very sweet boy that loves a cuddle and is great with everyone he meets. He is also very good with other dogs and could happily be a second dog. He is currently in kennels. Staff tell us that he is a lovely dog. He is clean in his kennel. We feel he will be good with older children and will enjoy an active, loving, family home. Gigi was saved from the dog meat trade in China and we have been supporting him in a safe rescue in Beijing while he was waiting to travel over to the UK where we could find him a loving forever home.

Max has recently arrived from Romania and is now in one of our foster homes where he is thoroughly enjoying life. Max is a very affectionate boy and is friendly with everyone he meets. He loves the company of other dogs and is very playful. He has been clean both day and night and learnt to use a dog flap straight away. He is a bright, happy boy and very easy to train and yes of course he is a big foodie! He loves human company and loves a cuddle. He has been cat tested and showed an interest but no aggression. This lovely boy has been neutered and completely vaccinated and health checked. Max is looking for a loving, active home and preferably with another young playful dog. He is a lovely boy with no bad bones, just a few silly ones like most Labradors.

Nina And Timmy have formed a true bond with each other and feel very content when they are together. They are both beautiful dogs that came in from China and had been living alongside each other in the rescue in Beijing. They are both affectionate, lively dogs that are good with other dogs and would need a good size garden to mooch around during the day and will happily sleep in a utility room together at night. They have been very clean in their kennel, so we feel they will be clean in the house. Nina and Timmy were saved from the dog meat trade in China and we have been supporting them in a safe rescue in Beijing while waiting to travel over to the UK where we could find them a loving forever home.
