About Lea Valley Dog Rescue

Lea Valley Dog Rescue was founded in 2006 by Yasmina, who had been rescuing and rehoming dogs since 1984 from UK and Irish pounds. In 2007, the rescue expanded its work to support Romanian street and shelter dogs after witnessing the harsh conditions they faced, while continuing to help dogs within the UK. All dogs are placed in foster homes for full assessment before being carefully matched to suitable adopters, with lifetime rescue backup provided. Guided by the belief that “love has no borders,” the charity remains committed to helping any dog in need, wherever they may be.

Meet lovely little Lulu - a three years old Maltese girl, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.Lulu loves the companionship of both humans and other dogs and does not like to be left on her own as she gets very stressed. She also suffers from car sickness, obviously not used to travelling by car but with time and some short journeys, she should get used to it. She currently happily shares a home with other small dogs and a dog savvy cat which suits her perfectly.Lulu is a smart and alert little dog, ready steal your cake from your plate or make a B line for the front door, hence the necessity to be very vigilant to prevent her escaping. She is a very smart girl who could do lots more!Lulu would benefit from being rehoused with another dog as she loves to play and interact with them. Lulu deserves the very best in life where she will be pampered and loved as she has so much fun and life to give.Should you be interested in offering this little girl a truly wonderful home. Please fill out an application form available on our website.Lulu is fostered in North London. For homechecking purpose we are looking for an adoptive family who resides within a reasonable distance from Junction 25 of the M25, North London and Essex and Hertfordshire borders although enquiries from further afield may be considered for the right home.Thank you

BreedBulldog

Meet TitchTitch is an adorable eight year old British Bulldog looking for his forever home.He came into rescue through no fault of his own and is currently being fostered in Berkshire.Titch is a loving, affectionate boy who adores everyone he meets. His favourite place to be is cuddled up on the sofa with his people. At 21kg, he is convinced he is a lapdog, and if he cannot quite fit on your lap, he will simply lean his whole body into you to get as close as possible. He has shown himself to be very good with other dogs when out and about, no matter their size or temperament. If another dog wants to play, Titch is happy to join in, and if not, he is polite and respectful.Titch has never lived with cats, and he does enjoy chasing birds and wild rabbits out of the garden, so he would be best suited to a home without cats or other small furry animals. He may be able to live with another compatible dog, subject to successful introductions. In foster, Titch lives with an 11 year old child, who he gets on with fantastically. He is easy to walk on the lead, does not pull, and loves exploring the countryside and having a good sniff around. He is a bit of a fair-weather walker, though, and can sometimes need a little encouragement to head out when it is cold or raining.Titch is a comical little character and very much a typical Bulldog. He can be a little stubborn at times, but he is also extremely treat-motivated and very capable of learning. Since coming into foster, he has made great progress. He would bark for attention or food when he first arrived, but with time, patience, and consistency, this has greatly improved. His new family will need to continue this training to help him keep progressing. He already knows sit, come, wait, and paw. He is a lovely natured boy who is also very tolerant of baths and nail trims.Titch has been happy being left for up to three to four hours. If you think you could offer this sweet boy the loving forever home he deserves, please complete the homing questionnaire from our website. There is also a video available on our Facebook profile. For home checking purposes, we would prefer potential adopters to live within London’s Home Counties or within 30 miles of his foster home in Newbury, West Berkshire.
