He will need a few visits prior to adoption to make sure he feels comfortable, particularly with his new family putting on his harness, but he no longer needs extensive bonding time. His sweet nature and signature grin brighten every room he walks into.Aladdin has been great with the female dogs here and enjoys their company. He can find very boisterous male dogs a little overwhelming at times, so calm introductions suit him best. She’s got that perfect mix of cheeky charm and pure heart that makes her impossible not to love!On her walks, Anita struts proudly by your side, taking the world in her stride. She’s an absolute delight on the lead and loves any adventure you’re up for. What Anita loves even more, though, is people; she’s a true social butterfly who’ll happily say hello to everyone she meets, especially if there’s the promise of a cuddle (or a treat!) involved.When it comes to other dogs, Anita can find them a little intimidating at times, but she’s made amazing progress during her time with us. She’s now friends with some of our biggest dogs and has even taken on the role of “bodyguard” to our shy residents, patiently waiting for them on walks and making sure they feel safe. Because of this progress, Anita could potentially live with a larger dog if it’s the right match for her and introductions are done carefully.Anita does have epilepsy, which is well managed with a small tablet. We’ll be more than happy to chat with her future family about what to look out for and how best to support her, but rest assured, this doesn’t hold her back one bit. She’s as happy-go-lucky as ever and lives life to the fullest every day.Anita has truly stolen our hearts, and we can’t believe she hasn’t found her forever home yet. (Local to North London/ Essex for foster) Lola is an utterly adorable little character with a huge heart and so much love to give. Through no fault of her own, she has found herself needing a new home after her beloved owner sadly suffered a severe stroke and could no longer care for her.She has clearly been loved, and despite everything changing around her, Lola has remained full of affection, charm and that wonderful little spark that makes her impossible not to adore. Her PersonalityLola is a true people dog. She loves company, loves affection, and is happiest when she is close to her humans. If there is a lap available, a sofa to share, or someone offering cuddles, Lola will be there in a flash.She is playful, goofy, bouncy and full of character. She has the kind of funny little presence that makes people smile without even trying. Whether she is trotting beside you on a walk, enjoying a fuss, or snuggling up for a cosy nap, Lola simply wants to be part of your world.She also enjoys being pampered and is very happy with baths, brushing and all the little bits of attention that come with being a much-loved girl. What Lola Needs Right NowKennel life has been a big adjustment for Lola after living as a cherished pet in a home. What she really needs now is a warm, calm and loving environment where she can feel safe and settled again.Lola can struggle if left for long periods, so she would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time, especially while she adjusts to this new chapter. She is currently overweight, and we are already helping her slim down. Continuing her gentle weight-loss journey will make a big difference to her comfort, wellbeing and overall quality of life.Lola is due for a veterinary assessment on 30th April and may go on to have BOAS surgery to help improve her breathing — a procedure commonly carried out for short-nosed breeds like Lola. We have supported many dogs through this surgery and the outcomes have been very positive. If Lola does go ahead with treatment, we would much prefer her recovery to take place in the comfort of a loving home rather than in kennels. With Other DogsLola can get on ok with other dogs, although she can be a little bossy at times. We feel she would be happiest and most relaxed as the only dog in the home, where she can enjoy all the love and attention to herself. Peggy is a beautiful soul who originally came to the UK from Spain, and her journey has definitely been a memorable one. Shortly after arriving she managed to slip away and spent some time wandering around a local area, making plenty of dog and human friends along the way. She quickly made herself part of the neighbourhood, joining her new canine pals on their daily walks before heading off to sleep to recharge ready for the next group of friends to appear.Peggy is a true character with a gentle heart.
