I am very friendly and always ready to say hello to visitorsI love walking with other Greyhounds . I sometimes can react to other dogs as I have been only used to seeing dogs like myselfI could fit in to a lot of different homes I am a very nice friendly dogI would suit most owners but I am playful and would like to have a playmate as well as a sofa companionI love racing around the paddocks and chasing balls toys thrown for meAero is a beautiful friendly big lad and he is a pleasure to walk and spend time with. He loves playing with you and he has quite good recall. Greyhounds are such gentle dogs and grateful for your attention

Can live with: Experienced Single FemaleI am a cuddle bunny when I am a good boy.I am not reactive to other dogs and can be lovely to walk.I need someone around most of the time and a garden to play in and sunbathe.I need an experienced owner who is understanding, patient and can help me work through my issues.My favourite thing to do is to fetch a ball and also to dig a hole for it after I have finished running.Not suitable to live with children"Alan is a lovely dog 90% of the time. He is a personal favourite of Jane's and Carolyn's, but he does have issues so he may, unfortunately, have to be one of our resident dogs if we cannot find the right owner. Alan is happy here at Maxi's Mates and we love him to bits!"

I am a big soft, affectionate lad and I enjoy a lovely cuddleI walk lovely on the lead and I don’t pull very often despite my sizeI do need a single person’s home because I do bond so much with the one person. I want a very best friend and somebody to spend the rest of my life with. I also always like to be with them so I wouldn’t like somebody that left me for long periods of time.A single male Owner would be perfect for me.I love company and I like to follow my special person around and just chill out with themAlpha is such a nice big gentle boy. He is a little lost at the moment because his Owner died. He is looking for another best friend that he can spend all his time with. He walks, lovely despite the fact that he could pull. He loves treats but more than anything he loves the person that he bonds with.

I am a little nervous and can be wary of new people but once I do know you, I am very friendly and affectionate.I can pull and be reactive when I see other dogs. I'm a nervous boy you see and I am struggling in kennels which is making me very stressed when I go outside.A quieter home with lots of time spent feeling safe and secure with my new owner or family. I'm not happy in kennels, I would be more confident in a home environment.An experienced owner who can help me be a little bit braver, take things slowly, walk in quieter areas so I can learn that walks are fun and not scary.I love playing with toys and being brushed."Benji is a handsome and energetic boy who is always ready for fun! Whether he’s dashing around the paddock, spinning in excitement, or zooming in joyful sprints, his playful spirit is truly contagious. Can live with: Adult only home - No petsLoving, playful, friendly, kind and sweet.Reactive to other dogs on walks.Adult only as I have issues with sharing my toys. I love snuggling and being warm and cozy. I would like someone to allow me the run of the house especially snoozing on the sofa and their bed.Someone with a big garden for me to play in as I do find walks stressful. Having a large garden where I can run and play with my toys would be perfect.Not suitable to live with children."Chester had a bad start in life. He had never been taken for a walk and this is mainly the reason for his issues as he was not socialised properly. But despite that he is lovely, funny, sweet and such a character. He springs to life when he sees children and jumps up and down with joy. Unfortunately he does not like to share his toys so for this reason he cannot be re-homed to a family."

Can live with: Adults older childrenI am a friendly dog when I get to know you, but I am a little bit scared at firstI do bark at other dogs, but I am sure it is something I could get better at with a new OwnerI would prefer to live in an adult only house where I would get all the attentionSomebody who wouldn’t be put off by my barking I am a very good boy really it’s just I am quite nervous when I am outsideI do love company I would like someone to call my ownCopper is such a handsome dog and he has a lot of potential. He needs somebody to give him love and security. We are sure he will behave much better on walks with a bit of patience and training.

I am a happy lad and I do like playing with some dogsI do not pull on a lead most of the time except when I can be reactive to certain breedsI will suit a family home and could even live with another dogI need an understanding owner as I am Deaf but that doesn't stop me living life to the fullI like racing around the paddock and having funDexter is very quiet in his kennel and seems not to be reactive possibly as he can't hear noises that sets other dogs off barking. He can be a little funny with black greyhounds he does not seem to like them but apart from those he is good with dogs. Dexter is a beautiful lad and has so much potential to fit in to a lot of homes.

This is just bravado though I am a very nice girl reallyI can pull a little and I can be reactive sometimes to other dogs but not all dogs. I am a little worried on walks but I do enjoy them when I start relaxingSomeone who will be around most of the time as I do like to feel safe with my favourite people. I am a loving girl and I love to lean into you for reassurance and a fuss.An experienced owner and patient. I am a little nervous and I will need time to adjust and relax more. Once I feel safe with you I am very affectionateI love playing in the paddock. I do have a lot of energy and I love fetching the ball, playing tug. I will drop the ball when you tell me and love to chase after it to bring back.Dory was very nervous when she first came in but shes starting to come out of her shell. Lovely to be with playing in the paddock shes a very pretty girl. She will blossom with love and care

I am a very happy and a very friendly girl and I can bounce with excitementI do pull a little to begin with because I am very excited to be out but once I settle, I walk perfectlyI am an easy dog and such a happy confident girl I could fit into most homesI would be a good friend for most owners because I am very friendly and I just love being with peopleI love to say hello to people and I love to have a good sniff about on walksFleur is such a happy girl she loves to say hello to everybody. She bounces up and down when she sees you, she is an all round lovely natured girl.

Can live with: Adult only home - No petsVery smart and highly trainable, with a bouncy side.I am reactive to other dogs and I can pull on the lead. I have a very good side to me that would be best used in a working role. I would be perfect for the police or armed forces.I will need a very experienced owner who I can bond with, ideally a working companion.Someone who is around most of the time so I can be their very best friend and work colleague.I love playing and running off steam in the paddocks with the people I trust."Once Hazel knows you, she is a really loving dog. You certainly would feel safe and secure with her around. We feel she needs a job and would be perfect for the police or forces etc. She has had some training and responded really well on a recent assessment from a dog trainer for the prison services - well done Hazel!"

I am a lovely dog and love people but I do not like other dogsI will react to other dogs - especially other malesI am very friendly to people and I love being with them. A active home would suit me or one that someone is home most of the time as I love human companyAn experienced owner who will help me on walks to not react to other dogs. I would prefer to walk in more remote areas so I can just enjoy time spent outsideI love tennis balls and I love racing around the paddocksHunter would play all day in the paddocks chasing tennis balls if he could! It's his favourite thing to do. He is super friendly to people always ready to say hello. We hope in time with bonding and security in a home he will get better with his reactiveness to other dogs. He is worth the effort and training as he's a beautiful lad.
