Amazing Ace is a fun loving, intelligent and sweet natured boy who melts the hearts of everyone he meets. He is very affectionate with those he knows but can sometimes be worried by strangers, barking at some, so will need an understanding owner that will provide him with reassurance and guidance when needed. He is always up for an adventure but prefers quieter areas as he can become overwhelmed and frustrated in busier environments. He loves a good game with his toys and thrives on having a job to do such as scent work or tracking. This lovely lad would suit an experienced and active owner that has plenty of time on their hands to continue with his training and socialisation as well as keeping him mentally and physically stimulated. Ace has a lot of love to give and will make a highly rewarding companion for the right person or family.Ace is looking for a home in a quiet area or where he will have quick access to an open area or park. He can live in a ground floor flat as long as there is direct access to a private garden. He can live with sensible, junior/secondary age children that have lived with dogs before, will give him space when needed and won't be intimidated by his bouncy nature at times. He could also potentially live with a dog confident cat as long as his owner will facilitate slow intros and teach him not to chase! His new owner will be expected to continue his training and socialisation and will receive three free 1:1 sessions with our Mayhew Animal Behaviourist to help guide them. Ace has a previous injury to his left hip, which occurred when he was a puppy. This means the hip joint is no longer sitting in its normal position. Over time, his body has adapted, but this has resulted in a slightly shorter leg and some muscle loss on that side. Despite this, Ace is very active and enjoys exercise, and he does use the leg when walking and running. We are carrying out a short trial of anti-inflammatory medication to ensure he remains comfortable. Some dogs with this type of injury may benefit from intermittent pain relief long-term. In some cases, dogs with this condition may require surgery in the future if they become more uncomfortable or their mobility worsens. Ace has been microchipped, neutered, will have received his first vaccination and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Beautiful Blossom is a sweet and endearing girl who thrives in the company of her trusted people. She is fond of a good ball game and loves cosying up on a lap whenever she can! She can become worried in busy environments and around some strangers and dogs, sometimes barking towards them, so will need her owner to advocate for her and provide her with reassurance and guidance when needed. Blossom wears a muzzle when out and about, as a safety precaution. She enjoys gentle, quiet, walks where she can sniff to her heart's content and take in her surroundings at her own pace. Blossom is looking for an experienced person or family that will have the time to continue with her training and socialisation and provide her with the mental and physical stimulation she needs. She will make a truly wonderful and affectionate companion for the right match.Due to her nervous nature at times, Blossom is looking for a calm, adult only home, without visiting children. A home in a rural/semi rural setting would be ideal. She can live in a ground floor flat as long as there is access to a private garden. Kenny is an active, playful and social boy, looking for an equally active owner. He enjoys going on outdoor adventures, finding all the best smells and greeting the odd dog pal along the way. He also loves nothing more than a good game of fetch with his tennis balls and has been found to be a great swimmer! This sweet lad will need an owner that will have the time to provide him with the physical and mental stimulation he needs to thrive. He will make a fun and affectionate companion in the right home.Kenny can live in a flat with access to a garden but can be vocal, so this should be taken into consideration. Lovely Lady is a sweet natured, playful and gentle little soul. She can be shy when meeting new people but it doesn't take long for her to warm up and show her affectionate side, especially if there are treats involved! She enjoys going on sniffy adventures and is curious of her surroundings but can sometimes be vocal if something spooks her. She can be worried of some larger dogs, particularly males, but has been doing well with slow intros and regular walking buddies. She will need ongoing support and training to help build her confidence around dogs. This adorable girl is looking for a calm household with owners that will have the time and patience to allow her to blossom at her own pace. She will make a loving and rewarding companion for the right person or family.Lady can live in a flat as long as there is access to a private garden. She can be vocal at times so this should be considered. She can live with sensible, secondary age children that have been around dogs and will give her space when needed. Molly is a friendly, happy girl who is always up for an adventure! She loves spending time with her people and is very affectionate. She is also playful and enjoys a good game of tug with her toys. Molly is happy to meet and greet other dogs out and about but prefers a more independent walk. She has been through a lot of change recently and would love to find a loving home where she can cuddle up on the sofa with her family after a day of fun. This sweet lady will bring lots of joy to her new household and make a fun and lovable companion.Molly can live in a flat as long as there is access to a garden. She can live with sensible, secondary age children, as long as they will give her space when needed and won't be intimidated by her bouncy nature at times. Molly has had a mammary lump removed whilst with us which was found to be of no concern. She has also had a dental with extraction. Finally, Molly came into us with an ear infection and is currently under treatment for this. She may be prone to ear infections in the future. Adopters will need to monitor her overall health and take her to their private vet as and when needed. She has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. Elegant Roo is a friendly and gentle girl with a sensitive side. She enjoys being with her people, receiving affection and playing with her toys. She is social with other dogs but can be worried of some, so will need her owner to help build her confidence and provide her with reassurance and guidance when needed. She would love a home where she could snuggle up on the sofa after a day of sniffy adventures and enjoy the wonders of being a much loved family dog. This gorgeous girl will make an extremely rewarding companion for anyone that is lucky enough to adopt her.Roo can live in a flat as long as there is direct access to a private garden. She can live with sensible junior/secondary age children that will give her space when needed. She could also potentially live with a calm, large breed, adult dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. Roo has a very subtle lameness in her right foreleg, especially after intensive exercise. It is possible that she has an underlying injury from her previous work as a racing greyhound. She is on long term anti-inflammatories for this and doing very well. Roo has been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. She fills her day with regular exercise in the garden and since the weather has got better a spot of sunbathing. Roo loves her bed and enjoys taking naps. Roo's a foodie and shows her appreciation for a good meal by giving helicopter tail. She also likes sharing a little of her humans food. Roo loves a good brush and is very partial to compliments whilst having her hair done. Roos also likes to stand at the front door and enjoy taking in the world going by. Roo is a sensitive soul and still learning about the outside world.....That perhaps it's not that scary. Wonderful Wallace is a playful, intelligent and active boy, looking for an equally active owner.
