About Paws2Rescue

Paws2Rescue is a charity dedicated to relieving the suffering of animals in need, particularly neglected dogs in Romania, through rescue, rehoming and long-term welfare initiatives. While finding loving homes in the UK is an important part of their work, large-scale neutering campaigns are central to their mission of ensuring every dog is a wanted dog. The charity also supports veterinary scholarships in Romania, enabling students to participate in neuter programmes and important disease research projects. Through vet clinics, a medical centre and sanctuary initiatives, Paws2Rescue works to create sustainable improvements in animal welfare for the future.

Mason was born approximately April 2021 and is 4 years and 9 months old.He is around 30kg and we think he has some Newfoundland and Belgian Malinois type breeds in him.Mason is a gorgeous golden boy with a sensitive soul and a lot of love to give once he trusts you. He’s a wonderful combination of affectionate, goofy, and bright — with a side of stubborn charm. What Mason Is Like at Home With the people he knows and trusts, Mason is a gentle, loving presence. He likes to sit nearby, enjoys a calm stroke when fully awake, and finds comfort in being close to “his” humans. He’s very food-motivated, which makes training fun and effective, and he gets excited when the lead comes out — walks are one of his favourite things.Mason can be wary of strangers at first. He will bark and keep his distance until he’s had a chance to assess the situation, but once he recognises someone is safe, he relaxes and shows his friendly, tail-wagging side. Social Life With other dogs: Mason is very friendly and enthusiastic! He enjoys meeting dogs, approaches with excitement, and loves a good sniff. He may attempt to mount, so continued training and guidance will help him with polite greetings. With cats: Not suitable — he will bark and attempt to chase. With visitors: Mason finds unfamiliar people overwhelming and will bark and retreat if approached. Around noise: Loud or sudden noises can worry him, and he’ll look to move somewhere quieter. Behaviour & Training Needs Mason can be reactive in certain situations, especially if startled when asleep or approached while tired. He needs patient guardians who can read his signals, give him space when needed, and continue working positively on his confidence. He can be a bit stubborn — especially if he’s comfy or wants to go a different way on a walk — but he responds well to calm, consistent guidance. Health & Grooming Mason sheds lightly year-round with seasonal increases, so regular brushing and home upkeep are needed. He may get mild skin irritation after running through long grass, which is easily managed with seasonal allergy tablets. Mason’s Ideal Home Mason will thrive in a home that can offer: Experienced adult owners familiar with reactive or sensitive dogs A calm, predictable environment A secure garden Ideally another friendly dog for companionship (not essential, but could be beneficial) Why Mason Is Worth It Mason is a truly lovely dog with great potential. With the right home, patience, and understanding, he will bond deeply and show his affectionate, playful nature. He is loyal, intelligent, food-driven, and eager to be part of a stable, loving home where he feels safe.If you have experience with reactive dogs and the heart to give Mason the steady environment he needs, he will reward you with trust, companionship, and plenty of golden-furred love.Mason is currently in Bromley, Kent.
