About Paws2Rescue

Paws2Rescue is a charity dedicated to relieving the suffering of animals in need, particularly neglected dogs in Romania, through rescue, rehoming and long-term welfare initiatives. While finding loving homes in the UK is an important part of their work, large-scale neutering campaigns are central to their mission of ensuring every dog is a wanted dog. The charity also supports veterinary scholarships in Romania, enabling students to participate in neuter programmes and important disease research projects. Through vet clinics, a medical centre and sanctuary initiatives, Paws2Rescue works to create sustainable improvements in animal welfare for the future.

Mason was born approximately April 2021 and is 4 years and 9 months old.He is around 30kg and we think he has some Newfoundland and Belgian Malinois type breeds in him.Mason is a gorgeous golden boy with a sensitive soul and a lot of love to give once he trusts you. He’s a wonderful combination of affectionate, goofy, and bright — with a side of stubborn charm. What Mason Is Like at Home With the people he knows and trusts, Mason is a gentle, loving presence. He likes to sit nearby, enjoys a calm stroke when fully awake, and finds comfort in being close to “his” humans. He’s very food-motivated, which makes training fun and effective, and he gets excited when the lead comes out — walks are one of his favourite things.Mason can be wary of strangers at first. He will bark and keep his distance until he’s had a chance to assess the situation, but once he recognises someone is safe, he relaxes and shows his friendly, tail-wagging side. Social Life With other dogs: Mason is very friendly and enthusiastic! He enjoys meeting dogs, approaches with excitement, and loves a good sniff. He may attempt to mount, so continued training and guidance will help him with polite greetings. With cats: Not suitable — he will bark and attempt to chase. With visitors: Mason finds unfamiliar people overwhelming and will bark and retreat if approached. Around noise: Loud or sudden noises can worry him, and he’ll look to move somewhere quieter. Behaviour & Training Needs Mason can be reactive in certain situations, especially if startled when asleep or approached while tired. He needs patient guardians who can read his signals, give him space when needed, and continue working positively on his confidence. He can be a bit stubborn — especially if he’s comfy or wants to go a different way on a walk — but he responds well to calm, consistent guidance. Health & Grooming Mason sheds lightly year-round with seasonal increases, so regular brushing and home upkeep are needed. He may get mild skin irritation after running through long grass, which is easily managed with seasonal allergy tablets. Mason’s Ideal Home Mason will thrive in a home that can offer: Experienced adult owners familiar with reactive or sensitive dogs A calm, predictable environment A secure garden Ideally another friendly dog for companionship (not essential, but could be beneficial) Why Mason Is Worth It Mason is a truly lovely dog with great potential. With the right home, patience, and understanding, he will bond deeply and show his affectionate, playful nature. He is loyal, intelligent, food-driven, and eager to be part of a stable, loving home where he feels safe.If you have experience with reactive dogs and the heart to give Mason the steady environment he needs, he will reward you with trust, companionship, and plenty of golden-furred love.Mason is currently in Bromley, Kent.

Reggie (was Chance) is looking for a new homeSadly this boy, not quite a year old, finds himself looking for a new home. This gorgeous boy came to our care in August 2025, and the vet didn’t think he’d survive 48 hours. But he proved us all wrong, and we named him Chance, as he was fighting for a second chance! He was so excited to be adopted in December! He was renamed Reggie, and has been loving his walks, cuddles and is such a friendly boy. But sadly Reggie and the resident dog did not gel. So he is now on the hunt for another home.Reggie is 10kg, and medium sized. He is good with people but can be boisterous. A typical teenager, he can be vocal and can try to test boundaries!Reggie is such a clever boy, and even though he’s only been in the country for a couple of months, he has already nearly completed his Bronze Kennel Club training!Reggie would be happy as an only dog or living with other medium or large size dogs.Reggie is in Thatcham, near Reading, Berkshire

Walter is heartbreakingly looking for a new home after his owner has suffered a health emergency, and is now unable to give him what he needs.Walter is 4 years old and medium sized. He is 26kg.Walter is the most cuddly, loving dog when he knows you. He and his owner are very bonded and he can be anxious around new people and dogs, and this can come across as reactive. On one occasion he redirected his aggression and sadly did use his teeth to his adopter. He can be frightened of sudden movements too. However he can also be super lovely with other dogs, and play really nicely.Walter’s ideal new family would be adult only, with people prepared to give him this second chance as he once again finds himself homeless. He would be happy to live with other dogs after a sensible introduction. His very favourite thing to do is run around a secure field and he recalls beautifully in these.Located in North Lanarkshire
