About Phoenix Rehoming

Phoenix Rehoming was founded in 2016 and is a volunteer-run charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats in need. While predominantly based in Hampshire, the charity supports adoption and fostering across England and Wales. Every member of the team gives their time freely, ensuring that all funds raised go directly toward animal care and welfare. Phoenix Rehoming is committed to providing lifelong support for every dog and cat, with thorough assessments, full veterinary care, and carefully matched homes. Guided by compassion and responsibility, no animal is ever euthanised unless it is the only humane option, and adopters and foster carers are supported every step of the way.

I’m a six-year-old, medium-sized girl who is clever, active and independent, and I’m looking for an outdoorsy home where I can enjoy plenty of adventures. I’m living with another dog friend currently.I can be a little cautious when meeting new people and prefer to take things at my own pace. I’ll need an owner who is patient, understanding and willing to give me the time I need to build trust and confidence. Once I feel comfortable, I’m happy to relax and enjoy being part of the family.I know a range of cues and I’m a bright girl who enjoys learning. I’d love a home that will continue my training and help me build my confidence. My favourite place to be is outdoors. I love long walks, exploring new places, running through grassy areas and following interesting scents. My nose is always on the go and I can happily spend ages investigating the world around me. If there’s a smell to be found, I’ll find it!I’m also a real foodie, which makes training lots of fun. I love treats and rewards and am always keen to learn when there’s something tasty involved. One thing my new family will need to understand is that I need to stay on a lead or long line when out and about. I have a high prey drive and can run incredibly fast when something catches my attention. Because of this, I may never be a dog that can safely enjoy off-lead walks. That doesn’t stop me from having fun though! I love exploring, sniffing, running on a long line and enjoying adventures with my people. I’m looking for a family who will be happy to manage me safely and give me plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors while keeping me secure. When I’m out and about, I can sometimes bark at other dogs, particularly if I don’t know them. However, with calm and sensible introductions, I’m usually happy to make new friends. In my previous home I spent time with dog walkers and other dogs, and in foster care I’ve met several dogs successfully. I may bark initially, but once I’ve had a chance to say hello properly, I’m generally happy in their company.I would particularly love a home that enjoys quieter walks, countryside paths and open spaces where I can explore at my own pace. An active owner who enjoys getting outdoors and continuing my training would be perfect for me.• Adult-only home or a home with older children• Active owners who enjoy walking and being outdoors• Patient people who will give me time to build trust• Happy to continue my training and confidence-building• Comfortable managing me on a lead or long line• Can provide plenty of enrichment and outdoor adventures• No cats• 6 years old• Medium-sized• Fully house-trained• Sleeps well through the night• Can be left alone for reasonable periods• Travels well in the car• Has previously enjoyed canicross and may suit an active owner who enjoys running• Currently in foster care in Romsey, HampshireIf you’re looking for a clever, adventurous companion and are happy to give me the time and understanding I need, I could be the perfect match for you.Adoption fee is waived but her adoption package includes;VaccinesVet checkMicrochipNeuteringFlea & worm treatment5 weeks insurance with AgriaPost adoption consult with an experienced behaviouristApply at https://phoenixrehoming.co.uk/forms/For more information or a guide to adoption email us at team@phoenixrehoming.co.ukTo apply to adopt, please follow the button below and complete an application form.

JJ is a 5 year old small sized boy of 9kg. He’s a wonderful character. He likes to do his own thing but will come and sit with you when he wants a fuss.He loves time in the garden and catching and eating flies. Not really fussed with toys but does love playing with his ball. He loves zooming around the garden. He also loves cheese!JJ will need continued work around getting his lead on and off. He can be a bit of a pickle and needs someone kind, patient and understanding. He does enjoy his walks and walks nicely on the lead.He does not like cats or birds he will bark at them if they enter the garden.JJ will be best suited to an only pet household where he can do his own thing. He does prefer men to women, though his foster mum is a lady. He lived his whole life with a male owner who sadly passed away.JJ does get on with children but doesn’t like to be overly fussed and can be startled by very sudden movements. For this reason we would prefer adopting him to an adult only home.JJ is crate trained although can be left loose around the house and is not destructive. He sleeps overnight in his crate downstairs. He can be left for up to 4 hours.Adoption fee £225 which includes;VaccinesVet checkMicrochipNeuteringFlea & worm treatment5 weeks insurance with AgriaPost adoption consult with an experienced behaviouristApply at https://phoenixrehoming.co.uk/forms/For more information or a guide to adoption email us at team@phoenixrehoming.co.ukTo apply to adopt, please follow the button below and complete an application form.
