About Phoenix Rehoming

Phoenix Rehoming was founded in 2016 and is a volunteer-run charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats in need. While predominantly based in Hampshire, the charity supports adoption and fostering across England and Wales. Every member of the team gives their time freely, ensuring that all funds raised go directly toward animal care and welfare. Phoenix Rehoming is committed to providing lifelong support for every dog and cat, with thorough assessments, full veterinary care, and carefully matched homes. Guided by compassion and responsibility, no animal is ever euthanised unless it is the only humane option, and adopters and foster carers are supported every step of the way.

Patch, a 1 year old male Bulldog available for adoption from Phoenix Rehoming in Hampshire

Patch

Hampshire
SexMale
Age1 year
BreedBulldog

FOR ADOPTION – PATCH – PORTSMOUTHMeet Patch – your future best mate ????Patch is a gorgeous 1-year-old Bulldog cross (with a touch of Staffy, which gives him a slightly longer snout – and no breathing issues). He’s recently been neutered and has recovered beautifully. This boy is all about love. He adores cuddles, seeks out affection from everyone he meets, and is happiest snuggled up beside you after a good play session. He’s sociable with other dogs, keen to play on walks, and shows no aggression. On the lead, Patch walks nicely to heel and is a pleasure to take out. He hasn’t been tried off-lead yet, so that’s something his new family can work on with him.Patch lives happily with children (14 and 10) and is incredibly affectionate with them. Because he’s a solid lad with a bit of strength, he’d be best suited to a home with children aged 10+.When he first came into foster, Patch was overweight and a little deconditioned, likely from spending too much time confined. Since being with Phoenix, he’s already lost around 4kg and is doing brilliantly. He could benefit from losing a little more, and he’s responding so well to regular walks and a consistent routine.Patch would thrive in a loving home that will continue his healthy lifestyle, enjoy his playful side, and most importantly, give him the cuddles he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, people-loving companion, Patch might just be your perfect match.Adoption fee £375 which includes;VaccinesVet checkMicrochipNeuteringFlea & worm treatment5 weeks insurance with AgriaPost adoption trainingApply to adopt Patch at https://phoenixrehoming.co.uk/forms/For more information or a guide to adoption email us at team@phoenixrehoming.co.ukTo apply to adopt, please follow the button below and complete an application form.

Rocky, a 2 years old male Deerhound x Saluki available for adoption from Phoenix Rehoming in Hampshire

Rocky

Hampshire
SexMale
Age2 years
BreedDeerhound x Saluki

FOR ADOPTION – ROCKY – TADLEY, HAMPSHIRE2 year old Deerhound x Saluki. Rocky is a lovely boy. He has a goofy personality and doesn’t realise his size. He’s 27 kg.He has previously lived with another dog and could live with other dogs or on his own.Rocky can walk nicely on a lead with a harness. Though if he catches whiff of an interesting smell or sees a squirrel he will pull strongly to get to it. He is a typical sight hound and is muzzled on walks because of his prey drive. His recall is a work in progress using high value treats. He can be reactive outside of the home sometimes when encountering other dogs. For this reason he isn’t likely to suit a first time dog owner. He travels well in the car. He prefers to sleep on the sofa and will sleep nicely all night. He ca be left for part of the day.He has lived with cats previously, but has wanted to chase resident cats and becomes hyperfocused. We would suggest he’d be better with a cat free home.Rocky will become possessive over high value treats or chews with other dogs so would need to be given these separately.Rocky does sometimes forget his manners and would benefit from ongoing training. He will counter surf if he can smell something nice. He can also open doors .He has had a bad experience at a groomers when younger and as such was sedated by the vet to be clipped due to bad matting. Unless brushed will become tangled again. He tolerates a doggy tangle teaser. An experienced groomer will be able to slowly build his confidence back.He is happy to see everyone, including children and has previously lived with children. He loves a fuss and will repay you with face licks and will make someone a loyal, fun, loving boy.Adoption fee £375 which includes;VaccinesVet checkMicrochipNeuteringFlea & worm treatment5 weeks insurance with AgriaPost adoption consult with an experienced behaviouristApply at https://phoenixrehoming.co.uk/forms/For more information or a guide to adoption email us at team@phoenixrehoming.co.ukTo apply to adopt, please follow the button below and complete an application form.
