Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue is a volunteer-led group of animal lovers based in and around the Rossendale Valley in the North West. Founded in 2012 by Michaela Howard-Holt, the charity raises funds through auctions, sponsorship, and donations to provide vital veterinary care, neutering, and vaccinations for animals in need, as well as saving dogs from pounds before they are put to sleep. The rescue works with a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to small pets, ensuring each one receives the medical care they require. Every potential adopter is personally visited and home-checked to ensure the right match for both animal and family. All animals are neutered, vaccinated, flea-treated, and wormed, with these costs included in the adoption fee, reflecting the charity’s strong commitment to responsible rehoming.
