Andre, a 1 year old male Poodle available for adoption from RSPCA in Nottinghamshire

RSPCA

Andre

Nottinghamshire
SexMale
Age1 year
BreedPoodle

Andre is a very timid but sweet boy with so much to offer the right home.He came into our care from a multi-dog household and has not had any previous training, so he will need support in all areas, including housetraining. For this reason, Andre is looking for an experienced owner who is confident and patient enough to help him flourish.Andre walks nicely on the lead but he can become nervous around unfamiliar things and may hide behind you for reassurance. Once he feels settled and has built a bond, his affectionate, bouncy and playful side begins to shine through, with a constantly wagging tail.Andre can be nervous around men and may bark at first but with time, patience and gentle reassurance, he should gradually grow in confidence. If his new family already has a dog, Andre would prefer a smaller, calm dog who can help him feel safe and secure.Andre will also require regular grooming to keep his coat in good condition.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed Tan and White 3 Years (approx) Ref: DC002 Apply now Bailey is a young boy bursting with energy and enthusiasm for life. He’s looking for an active home that can keep up with him both physically and mentally, someone who’s ready for adventures, training and plenty of fun along the way. He’s a very intelligent lad who absolutely loves his food, which makes training both enjoyable and rewarding for him. Bailey thrives when he has challenges to focus on and will benefit from ongoing guidance and support from our Training Leads and Behaviourist as he settles into a new home. Bailey can struggle around other dogs and will need to be muzzled when out in public to help keep him and others safe. For this reason, he’s looking to be the only animal in the home so he can receive the one to one attention he truly needs and deserves. He’ll also need an adult only home, as he can be boisterous at times and forget just how strong he is. Despite this, Bailey absolutely loves people. He’s always happy to say hello when out and about and adores a good cuddle. With patience, understanding and the right guidance, Bailey has so much potential and will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion. If you’re experienced, active and ready to invest time into helping a clever young dog navigate the big wide world, Bailey could be your perfect match. Barnaby, a 9 years old male Dalmatian available for adoption from RSPCA in Gloucestershire

RSPCA

Barnaby

Gloucestershire
SexMale
Age9 years
BreedDalmatian

Dalmatian White and Black 9 Years (approx) Apply now Meet Barnaby Barnaby is a 9yearold Dalmatian who came into our care following the very sad passing of his muchloved owner. Despite this loss, Barnaby remains a loving, happy boy who greets everyone he meets with his signature teethy grin and a wagging tail. Barnaby adores his walks and nothing makes him happier than heading out on a “Sniffari” to explore the world through his nose his absolute favourite pastime! He is a strong lad and can pull on the lead, so his future adopters should be prepared to continue working on his lead manners and feel confident managing his strength. A real lovable goof, Barnaby would thrive in a family home and could live happily with older children who understand and respect his space. Barnaby finds being around other dogs challenging and can struggle with his reactions. He will require ongoing, patient training and support to help him feel more comfortable and manage his responses when encountering other dogs. To help set him up for success, Barnaby is currently undergoing muzzle training, which will need to be continued in the home. He will wear a muzzle on walks to support his safety and the safety of those around him. Barnaby has some ongoing medical needs that adopters should be aware of. He requires lifelong medication and monitoring, including a strict diet to manage bladder crystals and periodic blood tests. As a senior, he also has some stiffness in his legs managed with pain relief, and occasional skin allergies that require medication. Due to his ongoing medical requirements, we are seeking a supported adoption for Barnaby. This means that we would offer some financial assistance towards the cost of his care, to help ensure he can continue to receive the treatment he needs in his new home. Barney, a 10 years old male Pomeranian x Pug available for adoption from RSPCA in Lancashire

RSPCA

Barney

Lancashire
SexMale
Age10 years
BreedPomeranian x Pug

Hi.. I'm Barney (aka your future shadow!) I'm a 10 year-old gent looking for a nice calm home where I can finally pur my paws up and relax.Let's get the important bits out of they .. I'd prefer to be your one and only (no dogs please), and a home without young children would suit me best - older, sensible kids (10+) could be okay. Now, onto the good stuffI love my walks - I stroll like a pro on the lead ( vary handsome, if i do say so myself). Because of a past leg injury, I'm currently on shorter walks, but with time and care, I might be able to build up the walks a little. Slow and stready wins the race, right? I do like my personal space when I'm out and about - I'm not a fan of dogs getting too close to me on walks. If another dog barks at me I might have a little bark back. With the right handling and a bit of space I'm a good boy.Food? Oh yes... I am VERY motivated by snacks. Treats = instant best friends.I'm not house trained yet, but don't worry - my humans will give you all the tips you need to help me learn. I'm a clever boy, especially when snacks are involved!I would really love a home where somone is around most of the time, as I'm not a fan of being left alone. I just like company.. and honestly, who wouldn't want me as their little shadow? So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who loves a gentle walk, a comfy bed and full snack jar.. I might just be your guy.Love,Barney

Barney, a 2 years old male Labrador available for adoption from RSPCA in Surrey

I am a "quality over quantity" kind of guy when it comes to friends. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I’ll need a bit of time to realise you’re one of the good ones. Once I trust you, though, you’ve got a friend for life! An adult only home or one with older teenagers would be best for me.My Passions: Tennis balls (I’m an expert!), carrying the biggest toys I can find on my walks, and sniffing out new trails. I can be a little strong on the lead at times so I need an owner with energy, who can hold me in my bouncy moments. My Social Style: I actually enjoy meeting other dogs out and about! However, I’m a bit of a "toy hogger" at home—I’d much prefer to live by myself so I don’t have to share my precious tennis ball collection. My Vibe: I’m more of a "quiet forest hike" dog than a "busy Saturday morning cafe" dog. Crowded places stress me out, so I’m looking for a home in a peaceful area. I would also like my own, private enclosed garden so I can play safelyMy Home life ideals - I would like someone at home with me most of the day while I settle in my new routine, the time I am left will need to be built up slowly. In my last home my owner was not able to take me out for a year so I will need a refresher in house training and I may need my confidence built with car travel too. My new family will need to have the time and patience to support me as I get used to my new home and the wider world. My new family will also need to have had experience of owning dogs that are a bit worried before.

Beau, a 7 years old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from RSPCA in East Sussex

RSPCA

Beau

East Sussex
SexMale
Age7 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed Brindle and white 7 Years (approx) Ref: 58/26 Beau is a beautiful, bouncy Staffy cross Lurcher with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He came into our care under very sad circumstances, having been handed over to an inspector after being kept in a crate for most of his time and not receiving enough food. When Beau arrived, he was extremely underweight and had caused serious damage to his own tail. His condition was so poor that he required hospitalisation before joining us at the centre, and sadly his tail had to be amputated. Despite everything he has been through, Beau has shown incredible resilience. Since arriving at the centre, he has truly come out of his shell and is beginning to enjoy life again. Beau has made lots of friends during his time with us. He is friendly with people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and absolutely loves getting out on adventures. He’s a clever boy who is very foodmotivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Beau is now looking for a loving home that will give him the patience, understanding, and affection he deserves. After such a difficult start in life, he is ready to be cherished and spoiled. If you think you could offer Beau the happy, secure future he’s been waiting for, please submit a Perfect Match form to info@rspcasussexwest.org.uk You'll need to take me to training classes I could live with children of secondary school age I need someone with me most of the time I get on well with many other dogs I'd prefer not to live with a cat I'm always on the go I love food and treats DOG Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed Brindle and white 7 Years (approx) Ref: 58/26

Beetlejuice, a 2 years old male Borzoi available for adoption from RSPCA in Lancashire

RSPCA

Beetlejuice

Lancashire
SexMale
Age2 years
BreedBorzoi

DISCLAIMER: Please read Beetle’s story very carefully as we are looking for a very specific home for him!Beetle is a Borsky breed (Siberian Husky and Border Collie cross). Due to this cross, it means that Beetle is a high maintenance breed. They are highly intelligent, extremely energetic, loyal but can be very stubborn. He requires an active family, a lot of mental stimulation (enrichment, training) and an experienced handler. Beetle may look more like a Collie, however, his temperament is more Husky. He’s vocal and full of attitude which although part of his charm, can be misunderstood by inexperienced dog handlers. Therefore we are looking for a home where the family have previous Husky experience. Beetle is a strapping, handsome, young male (approximately 2 years of age), so his potential adopters will need to be physically fit as he can be strong when he sees something of interest. However, he does have the potential to walk nice on lead, mostly in quiet areas (his favourite). While Beetle has been with us at the centre, he has had lots of training. He’s very curious and has walked out with some of the dogs at the centre. When meeting other dogs, it can be overwhelming for him and he can be intense and vocal when first meeting, but will settle after he calms. Beetle may go with another dog, however, they will need to be calm and able to handle Beetle's high and boisterous energy. He will not be allowed to go with cats or small mammals. Although Beetle can come off as intense, all he needs most is socialisation. He’s very curious about the world around him and needs a confident and adventurous family to show and teach him about new experiences (all in a positive and supportive manner). While Beetle has been at the centre, he hasn’t been happy in kennels. He is currently on behaviour medication to help him cope with the stresses of kennels and his potential adopters will need to continue and wean him off appropriately with the help of vet advise. More information will be provided upon request.Beetle has some guarding behaviours when it comes to his toys, which he loves very much. He’s also very independent and will only accept touch and attention on his terms. When he does want that human interaction, he can be a very loving, loyal and affectionate companion. With this in mind We are looking for an adult only home, no children (living or visiting the home) under the age of 16 years.

Bella, a 9 years old female Cocker Spaniel available for adoption from RSPCA in Gloucestershire

RSPCA

Bella

Gloucestershire
SexFemale
Age9 years
BreedCocker Spaniel

Cocker Spaniel Black 9 Years (approx) Apply now Meet Bella, a beautiful cocker spaniel with a heart full of love and a story of resilience. Bella came into our care 12 weeks ago in a very poor condition and heavily pregnant. Since then, she has made an incredible transformation. She safely gave birth to three gorgeous puppies, lovingly raised them, and has since watched them head off to their new homes. Now, it’s Bella’s turn to find the forever family she truly deserves. Bella is a peoplefocused dog who thrives on human companionship. She is affectionate, cuddly, and will do best in a home where she can enjoy plenty of attention throughout the day. She could happily live with respectful teenage children who understand her needs. Despite being 9 years old, Bella is still full of energy and embodies all the traits of a typical spaniel. She absolutely loves the outdoors; especially countryside walks where she can follow her nose and explore new scents. An active home that enjoys getting out and about would be perfect for her. Bella would be happiest as the only dog in the home. While she can socialise with other dogs once building a relationship, she has shown some resource guarding behaviours around food and her bed (directed towards other dogs, not people). To ensure she can relax without the need for close management, a singlepet home is the best fit. Bella has given so much, now she’s ready to receive the love, stability, and care of a forever home. I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
