SexMale

BreedJack Russell Terrier

Bruno is a dinky (6kg) 8yr old jack russell boy, he is castrated, microchipped, fully vaccinated and had a dental, he has a clean bill of health and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.Bruno needed some help after his elderly owner got taken into care and he had no one to look after him, he had a sheltered start to life never leaving a flat before his last owner took him on around 18 months ago and he can be nervous of new people and situations but he comes around quickly.Bruno has settled into his foster home really well, he was absolutely delighted to see other friendly dogs and really does love running around with them and being part of the pack. His typical terrier side shows itself if anyone has a pop at him which is understandable but otherwise he is good with other dogs and would definitely benefit from sharing his new home with another friendly, confident, neutered dog.Bruno needs a jack russell experienced home who understand and are used to their tenacity, he is a busy, active and lively boy who loves his long walks and he loves a good run in our enclosed paddock. He can be strong on the lead and will chew through a fabric lead so a light chain lead onto a well fitting harness works best for him.His nervousness means he can be wary and vocal when meeting strangers and he will back but he has never bitten, its all just fear. This also displays in the vets but again he has never been aggressive, just overwhelmed and nervous. More positive exposure and correct socialisation will help massively with this but new owners need to be prepared to put some work in with this and not expect the perfect dog.Once he gets over that initial wariness he is a really sweet lad, he loves being on your lap or asleep at your feet and gives very sweet kisses. He is a real cutie.Bruno does still scent mark in the home as he is only recently castrated and was used to being in a flat, but overall his toileting is going well now. He will need access to a nice safe garden to play in and to help with this.He travels ok in the car, he has slept downstairs quietly with the other dogs at night and is ok being left for a few hours. He loves his food and is eating well, he has no food aggression with people or other dogs. He is very playful and loves his ball and toys.He will bark at cats so needs a feline free home and would be suitable for an adult only household or possibly one with teenagers. Smaller visiting children would be ok if introduced and supervised properly. He needs a home with people who are young, fit and active enough to keep up with him and provide him with the level of exercise and stimulation he needs.Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derby's but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £250If you can offer this gorgeous little lad the terrier savvy home he needs please email us telling us all about your home offer, experience and FULL ADDRESS and contact number to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO PROCEED WITH AN ADOPTION WE CANNOT RESERVE DOGS FOR HOLIDAYS ETC ETC

Wilma is a 6yr old small crossbreed is looking for a home with her bonded best friend Libby the 3yr old pug, they are both spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.Wilma only has one eye after she suffered glaucoma 2 yrs ago, her other eye has a cataract but causes no issues for her. These gorgeous girls have been very well loved but their owner can no longer care for them so they need a new forever home together as Libby relies heavily on Wilma for confidence, they love to play together and are always found snuggled up together to sleep.Wilma is a very confident, happy, friendly and outgoing little dog, she loves people and other dogs and cant wait to say hello, she will be straight on your lap before you have even sat down. She is quite high energy and always into everything, she loves to investigate what's going on especially where other animals are concerned, she has nomalice at all but can become a bit obsessed even with watching fish in a tank which are great entertainment for her.Libby is much more reserved, she was originally found as a stray and was terrified on arrival a couple of years ago but she has definitely grown in confidence and is a typical sweet, friendly little pug. She uses Wilma as a bit of a crutch, she can still get spooked on walks and doesn't like heavy traffic and could be a flight risk so they really do need a quieter area if possible with access to some nicerural walks. They both travel ok in the car, they are absolutely fine being left for a few hours with each other for company and they sleep downstairs quietly at night with no issues. They are generally housetrained but Libby will sometimes wee on soft furnishings if given the chance so they are best having a kitchen type area when being left alone to prevent this happening, it's easily managed. They are both a bitoverweight at the moment but they eat ok and with more regular exercise that should soon resolve. Both girls are great with other dogs, they have lived with cats (Wilma can be a bit of a pain with them if they run) and they both adore children. We are happy to consider homes with respectful resident children aged 5yrs and over. They will need a home with a nice secure garden to play in.Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derby's but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £400 for the pair.If you are able to give these lovely girls the committed forever home they deserve please email us telling us all about your home offer in detail including your FULL ADDRESS and contact number towonkypetsrescue@gmail.com
