About Yorkshire Rescue

The Yorkshire Rescue is a registered charity based in Yorkshire, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals in desperate need, including those with long-term health conditions, behavioural challenges, or a history of neglect and abandonment. Formerly known as Moorview Rescue, the charity always works in the best interests of the animal, providing care, rehabilitation, and support until a safe and loving home is found. Alongside rehoming, The Yorkshire Rescue focuses strongly on education and prevention, offering advice, community support, and rehabilitation training to help reduce the number of animals entering rescue. Animals are cared for within a trusted network of foster homes, giving them a safe and nurturing environment while they wait for their forever family. Guided by values of integrity, inclusivity, compassion, and dignity, the charity supports not only animals, but also the people who care for them.

BreedLakeland Terrier

Give a warm welcome to our beautiful little girl Bella!Bella is a sweet-natured 9year old Patterdale girl who’s come into rescue due to a family bereavement, she’s been a truly loved dog and she deserves to find herself surrounded by family again .Bella loves a lap, a cuddle, and a tummy rub and would really love a quiet home where she can be the only dog and be with her humans most of the time.Bella is generally lovely out & about on walks, but isn’t overly keen on other dogs (she has a little bit of little dog syndrome!).Bella has lived with older children; she is not cat tested but does have a bit of a prey drive so wouldn’t be suitable for a home with other pets.Bella is having a spay, dental and starting her vaccinations so she’ll be in tiptop shape when she finds her perfect family. If you’d like to meet this lovely little girl please complete an application form.

Bobbi, a 6 years old female Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier available for adoption from Yorkshire Rescue in North Yorkshire

Bobbi

North Yorkshire
SexFemale
Age6 years
BreedSoft Coated Wheaten Terrier

Say hello to our beautiful bubbly Bobbi! Bobbi is being rehomed due to an owner change of circumstances meaning that they no longer have enough time for her - she has been a very loved girl and we are looking for a home where she’ll be loved just as much!Despite her tiny frame Bobbi has just the biggest heart - she’s such a loving little dog & is at her happiest when around her people (preferably receiving lots of fusses!). She’s so well behaved within the home & just wants to help you with your jobs, she’s a very polite girl!Bobbi is an active little girl, she’d love to go on lots of long walks with you and have adventures (she’s an especially big fan of the beach!). She likes walking with her dog friends but can be a little timid with larger or louder dogs, we think another dog in the home might be a little much for her. Bobbi is good in the car & loves being out and about. As a terrier Bobbi does have a bit of a prey drive (did someone say squirrel?!) so we aren’t looking to home her with cats (all the more attention for her anyway!). She has lived with children previously but found the constant noise to be a little over exciting so we’d ideally be looking for older children or an adult only household.Bobbi does have a bit of separation anxiety, she finds being left alone a little bit stressful as its something she hasn’t been very used to, so her ideal home would have someone around a lot of the time- especially to begin with as she settles into her new routine. If you think your heart (and sofa!) has a Bobbi sized hole, please fill in an application form. She can’t wait to meet you!

Custard

Everyone give a warm welcome to Custard! This little lad has only just come into us, he was originally found tied to a tree all alone. We can’t imagine why anyone would do that especially to such a sweet boy, but he’s safe now and settling in well with us.Because of being found dumped we have no history on Custard meaning we need a little time to get to know him & his needs. As he was found as a stray he isn’t child or cat tested so when he’s ready to look for his new home he’ll be looking for a teen or adult only cat-free home.So far Custard has just been your classic puppy! He’s full of beans & ready to say hello to absolutely everyone (human or canine!). He’ll be looking for an active home, to match his bounce, with lots of time to help him settle & catch up on any training he’s missed.Custard is full of wiggles & love - he loves a cuddle and has kisses to spare! He just needs someones to love him!More information (and photos!) coming soon so watch this space but if you think you might be a good fit for him please fill in an application form.

Lola, a 2 years old female Dachshund available for adoption from Yorkshire Rescue in North Yorkshire

Yorkshire Rescue

Lola

North Yorkshire
SexFemale
Age2 years
BreedDachshund

Introducing the lovely Lola! This bonny little girl was living with children with additional needs and was finding it all a bit over-whelming in such a busy household so she’s come into us & is currently settling in her new foster home. She’s such a little sweetheart and has so much personality (classic dachshund she has quite a lot to say for herself & as you can see in the photos is quite the sofa fan!). She loves going out & about on walks and seeing all the different people and dogs, she can find busy places a bit over-exciting but with a calm handler and patience we think she’d manage it well.Lola is really good with her doggy friends but it can take her a little while to get to know them, she may be suitable to live with a calm small dog if they got on well at meetings. Lola hasn’t really met cats before and is quite interested in birds etc on walks so we aren’t looking for a home with cats.Lola has previously lived with children but the busy environment was a bit much for her, her ideal home would be with a quiet couple, or potentially sensible teens, who can give her the calm and training she needs & deserves. She’s a clever girl & loves food so would pick up well on further training, she’d benefit from a dog experienced home (dachshund lovers we know she’d love you too!).If you think you could be the right fit for this lovely girl please put in an adoption application!

She’s also very up for a game of fetch if you are! She’s very clever and would love to continue her training with you - she’d love to try something like flyball! After exercise (or possibly in joint first!) her favourite thing is fuss! She’s a living teddy bear and she absolutely knows it, she could snuggle up with you for fusses for hours! She’s such a great family pet, she currently lives with a toddler who she is very gentle with and she’d fit well into another family with dog-savvy children (really she thinks the more people to pet her the better!).She loves meeting her doggy friends and has previously lived with another dog so may fit well with another dog if they got on well.Due to her breed Nora has a very strong prey drive so wouldn’t be suitable for a home with cats or other small pets.If you think you could be her perfect match please put in an application form!

Pippin, a 4 years old female Unknown available for adoption from Yorkshire Rescue in North Yorkshire

Yorkshire Rescue

Pippin

North Yorkshire
SexFemale
Age4 years
BreedUnknown

Meet our loveliest little lady, Pippin! This sweet girl has come into us from the dog warden after being found straying. She’s a friendly pup, but having had so much change & uncertainty over the last few weeks she can be a bit shy to begin with, who could blame the poor girl. Currently she’s settling in foster learning how to be loved again. As she came in as a stray we do not have any previous history on her, because of this we are not looking for homes with cats or young children. We also don’t have an exact age for her but she’s a bouncy little girl that the vet thinks is about 3! What we do know is that Pippin has had a very difficult time of it so far, she’s been bred from repeatedly and needs to learn how to be loved.Pip is friendly with people and so far has been friendly with the dogs she’s met so may be suitable for a home with another dog. She’s currently living with another dog in foster & they’re doing really well together.Pippin just wants a calm loving home where she gets all of the patience and spoiling she deserves! She’d love to curl up in her own spot and go out on walks together. She’d make such a great addition to the right family, if you think it could be you please fill in an application form.

Rhubarb

North Yorkshire

Age6 years
BreedUnknown

Say a big hello to the lovely Rhubarb! This handsome gentleman has just come into us from a pound puller, because of this we don’t have very much history on him & we’re just getting to know him. What we do know is that he hasn’t had the easiest life so far, and he bears the scars to prove it. We cannot imagine what this poor lad has been through and we can’t comprehend how anyone could do that to any dog let alone one as sweet as Rhubarb. So far he’s been great in kennels and has been friendly with everyone he’s met. He was also good on dog assessment at a distance, he was more interested in his ball than the other dog, so we’ll see how he gets on with some of our other dogs once he’s had a chance to settle.Because we have no history on him we don’t know how he would be with cats or children so when he’s ready for adoption he’d be looking for teen or adult only cat-free homes (all the more loving for this snuggle-bug!).He’ll be looking for an active calm home with lots of time & patience to teach him how to be loved again. He’s a massive ball fan & can’t wait to have his own garden to play fetch in. We know he’s going to make an amazing addition to the right family!More information coming soon so watch this space, but if you think you could be his forever family please fill in an application form.

Meet the wonderful Rocko! This stunning lad has come into rescue due to an owner change of circumstances meaning they’re no longer able to meet his needs. He’s been a very much loved boy and we’re looking for someone to love him just as much!Rocko is your classic high energy young dog - he’s a pup full of beans! He absolutely loves life, he could walk all day & still want to play when you get home! He loves to play & is super smart - he’d be great at something like flyball! He picks up training really well (especially as he is motivated by food, toys & fuss!) but is at the teenage phase where he can test things a bit, he just needs consistency.Rocko is really good out and about, he can be very excited at the start of walks but who could blame him! He’s wonderful with people, he loves to snuggle on the sofa (ideally in your arms getting lots of kisses!)He loves meeting other dogs and would make a really great companion for another dog, he’d be a great match for another medium sized breed. He’s not met a cat before so we aren’t sure how he’d react to one.Rocko has lived with kids but can find the noise & toys to be a bit over exciting. Ideally he’s looking for a teen or adult only home where he can be given all of the attention he needs while still being able to settle for a bit.Rocko really just needs an active household who have lots of time to meet his needs, ideally someone with high-energy breed experience. He’s just the most lovely dog and will make an incredible companion! If you think you might be the right fit for him please put in an application form. He can’t wait to meet you!
