Blacky

At 3 months of age, Blacky was bought by a family for their children. When the parents decided they wanted a smaller dog, they sent Blacky to live with the grandparents, in the countryside. For the next 6 months, Blacky spent his days together with another small sized dog in a former pighouse where although he was well fed, was given no attention and was often chained up. After he chased the neighbours’ chickens, the family decided they wanted rid of him so was taken in by one of our rescuers. Blacky gets along well with both male and female dogs. He loves being with people, loves to be cuddled and enjoys meeting new people. We recommend a family with no cats, rabbits or hens because he has a tendency to chase them. It seems likely that Blacky is a black Labrador mix or similar.
