Hi, I’m Chicago I might not be the kind of dog who runs straight up for cuddles, but I’ve come such a long way, and I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. Not so long ago, I was abandoned in a killing pound, completely petrified and shut down. It was clear I had never truly known kindness or felt safe around people. I was so scared that I couldn't even imagine what love or trust could feel like. Then CYDRA came into my life and rescued me. Slowly, I started to discover that not all humans are bad. Step by step, I’m learning that life can be good. These days, I’m brave enough to sit quietly while someone puts my lead on, and I even get excited when I know it’s time to go outside — that’s where I feel my happiest. I love running around doing my zoomies, feeling free, and I’ll even come over for treats now. When I first arrived, though, things were really tough.
