UPDATE 22/10/26: Hugh has been with us for just over two weeks now and in that time, he hasn’t left his kennel. :broken_heart: We don’t know what this poor young lad has been through, but we are seeing just how much he is struggling to trust the world around him. Hugh is only about a year old and we wonder if he has ever really had the chance to experience the world outside. Our kennel team have been working so hard to help him feel safe and comfortable, taking things at his own pace and letting him know that he is under no pressure. They were overjoyed to see him moving around his kennel and enjoying a snuffle mat the other day and yesterday, he took another little step forward when he found the confidence to eat some lovely treats in front of Caroline. She spent some time sitting quietly with him in his kennel, showing him that not all humans are scary and that he can begin to trust us in his own time.
