Kira’s story, like so many strays in Romania, is heartbreaking. She was found wandering heavily pregnant, miles from anywhere, searching for help. Thank goodness a kind, local couple spotted her and brought her to safety on a piece of community land. There, she lovingly raised her 3 pups alongside the local chickens, cats, and kittens. Tragically, one of her sweet baby girls managed to escape the pen and was attacked by nearby dogs. Despite the vet’s best efforts, she couldn’t be saved. Now, her remaining two puppies are leaving for their new lives. Kira will be left behind. Once the transport leaves, she will be left wandering the yard completely alone, her babies gone, her friends gone. After everything she has suffered and given as a devoted mother, she deserves her happy ending too. Kira is extremely gentle, nervous at first, quiet, sweet and independent.
