Lovely Nieves arrived in the U.K. in January after being handed in to Project Galgo in Seville. She is now being cared for in a foster home in Penrith, Cumbria, and looking forward to a loving, retirement home.Nieves in a 10 year old Galga (Spanish Greyhound) and was born on 24/1/2016. She is black with frosting, is 59cm high and weighs 21kg. She is due to be neutered soon and is clear of any Mediterranean disease. Nieves is in good condition and just has left eye enucleation.Nieves is gentle, calm and quiet. She is fantastic with the resident dog in her foster home. She gets a lot of reassurance from her and copies what she does. She has no reactivity towards dogs on the lead shown so far, but she is not used to being with cats. Nieves is not keen on sharp, sudden noises, walking on uneven ground or steps and is very wary of stairs.Nieves likes having a comfy bed to retreat to. Of course, she loves her treats! She is not so fussed about toys although she will play every now and again....
