Meet Raggy. Raggy is 13 years old… one of the forgotten souls from the 27 dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation back in October. He lived a life no dog should ever know. Handled with fear, controlled with a catching stick, dragged instead of guided… Raggy learned early on that human hands brought discomfort and pain. And even now, after months in our care, that history still lives in his body. Raggy is an old boy, and his body reflects it. He is full of arthritis, slow in his movements, and carries the quiet weight of everything he’s been through. He is still scared of human touch… and anything around his neck is especially frightening for him. And yet… despite it all, Raggy hasn’t given up on us. He chooses to come closer.
