Hello humans, my name is Rou. I was found in the mountains of Cyprus, at the entrance of a taverna, where I had very cleverly positioned myself at the edge of the stairs. Why there, you ask? Because every person coming back from the buffet had to pass me. And obviously, there was a tax. A small meat tax. A tiny snack toll. A very reasonable contribution to the Rou Survival Fund. I was slightly shy, but I was also no fool. I knew exactly where the food was and exactly how to make everyone fall in love with me while pretending I was not trying too hard. One of the SuperDogs volunteers came to the taverna for a charity event and a concert. She was supposed to enjoy her evening. Instead, she spent the night looking for me, worrying about me, and completely forgetting about the music. I like to think I was the real entertainment. Before she left, she asked the staff about me.
