Violeta arrived at the pound in June 2026 and is around one year old.We rarely have detailed history for the dogs that come into our care, but Violeta is one of the lucky exceptions where we know part of her story. Her mother arrived at the pound in March 2025 heavily pregnant and was very fortunate to be placed in a loving foster home, where she safely gave birth to nine beautiful puppies. Violeta, along with her siblings, grew up in a safe and caring environment and was adopted as a young puppy. Sadly, one year later, Violeta has been abandoned by her owner at the pound, as she was not able to provide her with the structure, guidance, and stimulation she needed. Like all young dogs, Violeta needs structure, daily exercise, regular walks, and mental stimulation in order to thrive. It appears that as she grew, she did not receive the full level of guidance, enrichment, and socialisation that a young, active dog requires to develop her confidence and balance.
