BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

Are you right for Atlas? If you’ve been searching for a best friend who will make you laugh every single day, look no further, Atlas is ready to steal your heart. This 4-year-old Staffy is a sunshine-loving, snack-loving boy who is always bursting with personality. This lovable boy would prefer to be the only pet in the home, though he’s happy to enjoy some walking buddies out and about. He can live with older, secondary school-aged children and is comfortable being left for around 4–6 hours. He may need a couple of meets and greets when meeting new people at first, but with tasty treats he will quickly warm up and, before long, you’ll be his absolute favourite human (Atlas has already had some practice with this and was such a good boy!) Atlas would suit someone with behavioural experience or someone willing to learn, who can help him continue to grow in confidence. Is Atlas right for you?Atlas is full-on character, a certified goofball with a heart of gold, he has a way of brightening even the dullest of days with his expressive face and silly antics. His greatest joys in life? Sunbathing like it’s a full-time job, dreaming about sausages, and enjoying the world’s best bum scratches (which, in his opinion, should always be available on demand). Whether he’s pottering along on a sniffy walk, soaking up the sunshine, or making you laugh with his silly expressions, Atlas has that special spark. With a little patience (and plenty of treats), he’ll become the most loyal, loving, and entertaining best friend you could wish for.

INTRODUCING ONE LUCKY YOUNG MAN NOW NAMED MORRIS. WELCOME ANOTHER SAD STAFFY CROSS.Morris came into our care on 24th December 2025 from a Yorkshire stray kennels. Through no fault of his own and a shocking sad fact in todays society this youngster was booked into to be put to sleep. Morris has not done anything wrong except be born into what some may say the wrong skin. This loving and very friendly dog is a Staffy cross. He is approximately ten months old and was abandoned and unwanted. He is adorable and loves cuddles and human contact. He is extremely playful, full of joy and has a spice for life as any pup would oen. We welcome him with open arms and a very big heart along with so many of our other dogs who sadly were all in the same dilemma. Morris has been health check by our vets and is now embarking on a new lease of life. He is learning to enjoy the outside world and we are working on his lead training. Although Morris barks initially at other dogs in excitement once introduced he has been amazing and his instant excitement is defused. He loves to play and has recently been out walking with Shellie who also found herself with an uncertain future at the stray kennels due to being another Staffy cross. Morris is beautiful, a real sweetheart baby and has so much to live for. Please read below to find our what sort of home our new delicious young man requires. We welcome support and adoption enquiries. All our dogs are loving and friendly and deserve to find true rescue adopters.WHAT HOME DOES BEAUTIFUL MORRIS NEED?Morris is now looking for a much need new start with someone that adores Staffies and cross breed Staffies. Experience of owning a dog would be beneficial. This boy will warm your heart and soul. Due to being a pup Morris will need more training and guidance as he grows. He adores people and is very puppy like so more training will be needed over the next few months. This handsome chap knows all his basic commands and we feel with the right committed human he will blossom even more. He has already shown he has love and loyalty to give and the ability to learn quickly. Morris could potentially live with a very good natured female spayed dog. We would consider rehoming him within a family home with older children only. A home where someone can offer company is essential. Very young dogs easily become bored so it is important that time is given to Morris and he knows he is not alone. If you work long hours and would leave Morris or any of our young dogs for long periods then this would not be suitable. Morris is gorgeous in every way. We are overjoyed that Morris found a lifeline at our charity on the eleventh hour. Morris is adorable and has everything to live for and so much to offer. His life could of ended on 24th December and we are blessed to have him in our care. Please consider the strays of Yorkshire. It is important we match our dogs with people lifestyles. We help a huge amount of stray dogs from Yorkshire pounds. Anyone wishing to discuss any dogs or needing more information about our charity and the work we do then please telephone for an informal chat or email us via our adopt button on this page with details about yourself and the dog you are enquiring about. Lifestyle details are important when considering adoption. All our rescue dogs have different needs. Good Life Dog Rescue exists without staff and few dedicated, passionate volunteers. Please support through adoption. We have a huge volume of dogs now in our care and welcome interest.PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM WITH ESSENTIAL DETAILS ABOUT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE ADOPT ME BUTTON. PLEASE READ THE DETAILS ABOVE ABOUT THE HOME THESE DOGS NEED BEFORE APPLYING. HOME CHECKS AND VET REFERENCES IF POSSIBLE ARE NEEDED PRIOR ANY ADOPTION OF OUR RESCUE DOGS. THANK YOU.

Bambi, a 6 years old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from Foal Farm in Kent

Bambi

BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

This is a special appeal for a special boy. We are looking for a long term foster home. Many of our supporters will recognise our boy, Bambi. He originally came to Foal in July 2020 at approximately a year old. He came to us from a pound, so we had no information about Bambi’s history. What we did know, was that this poor boy had not been loved and cared for. He was scared of us, underweight, had sore skin and, overall, he was in very poor condition. With a little time and patience, Bambi soon made friends with the staff and volunteers here. It became apparent that Bambi had allergies, so with medication and a good diet his health improved. Bambi was rehomed in September 2020 but was unfortunately returned after a short while. We learnt from this homing that Bambi struggled with visitors and scenarios which took him by surprise such as opening a car door.On Bambi’s return we started to notice his behaviour appeared to be a little ‘odd’. His eyesight was deteriorating, and his balance was off. We knew there was something else underlying going on and after discussion with our vets, with a delay due to Covid, we finally got Bambi to see a specialist in November 2021. Bambi was diagnosed with neurodegenerative brain disorder and mild hydrocephalus, which is water on the brain and sadly there is no treatment we can give Bambi to help with either of these conditions. He also has impaired vision. Due to his diagnosis and his behaviour becoming unpredictable, we decided it would be best for Bambi to become a sanctuary dog at Foal where he will have stability and be surrounded by people who adore him.Upon diagnosis, we were also informed that his life span would be affected, and he could only live for another two years but there is no way to guarantee this. Fast forward a year and a half, our boy is doing really well, he loves his people and is a very good boy with his favourite friends. There have been no significant changes from when he was first diagnosed and this is very encouraging.Although Bambi still has his little quirks, he has not shown aggression to those that he trusts. We understand him and respect his space when he wants it. He is a fun and loving boy and although has medical issues, is also very clever and loves training! As Bambi is doing so well, we do feel that he has the potential to settle into a new home. We are seeking the impossible, a very special somebody who can give up some time initially to become acquainted with Bambi and develop a trusting relationship with him as we do here at Foal. Homes must be adult only and free from any other animals. The team at Foal would support the transition to the home with as many visits as required with Bambi. We are looking for a foster home, so all ongoing medical issues will be covered by Foal and his new family would have our complete support for his whole life. This boy has done so well and as much as he is happy and settled here, we would love nothing more than for him to have his very own place to call home. If you have any enquiries regarding our beautiful Bambi, please get in touch with the dog team by calling us or emailing [email protected]. Thank you.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed Brindle and white 7 Years (approx) Ref: 58/26 Beau is a beautiful, bouncy Staffy cross Lurcher with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He came into our care under very sad circumstances, having been handed over to an inspector after being kept in a crate for most of his time and not receiving enough food. His condition was so poor that he required hospitalisation before joining us at the centre, and sadly his tail had to be amputated. Despite everything he has been through, Beau has shown incredible resilience. Since arriving at the centre, he has truly come out of his shell and is beginning to enjoy life again. Beau has made lots of friends during his time with us. He is friendly with people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and absolutely loves getting out on adventures. Beau is an extremely friendly girl looking for a home that can further her training and meet her needs. She is very head shy, and can be very strong on the lead. Beau loves saying 'hi' to people - she will pull on the lead to get to someone if she is feeling excitable. We have started to work on loose lead walking with her, and she is doing very well. She checks in with her trusted members of staff, and enjoys a good sniff! Beau is looking for owners that understand she will need further training and that a dog of her size needs her strength managed. She is very affectionate and has been getting to meet a few dogs while in our care. Beau seems very curious about other dogs and could be rehomed with another dog, pending successful meets in the centre. She is a very lovely girl who will require a lot of mental stimulation so as to not be bored - we give her plenty of enrichment throughout the day and she would be looking for more of that in her new home. She loves being off lead, and chases a ball like there is no tomorrow! Beau is not fully toilet trained, and could use help with that. Therefore, she is looking for a home with either direct or indirect access to a garden, and owners who would be home most days. She is a very loving dog and could live with older kids pending they are dog savvy and have lived with a large breed before. Are you right for Beauty?Beauty is looking for a home with a special family that can help her overcome her abandonment. She needs to be the only dog at home and to live with just adults, as she has appeared worried by children at the centre. We have no history for her and can’t say for sure that she’s used to spending time alone or is house trained. Beauty is going to need all her basic training and a family that is committed to doing things at her pace.Is Beauty right for you?Beauty has been through a very stressful time recently and found centre life to be very difficult to get to grips with. After moving her to a quieter kennel she has settled very well and is noticeably happier. She’s a lively and friendly dog who likes a quiet life with her favourite people, and she has formed lovely bonds with her handlers very quickly. New people are quickly approved by Beauty if they have some titbits to offer her, and she does love to snuggle up close to people. Snacks will be the key to Beauty's training too. Although she will need to be the only pet in the home, Beauty would benefit from some sensible and controlled socialisation outside. Given some time to decompress, Beauty is a girl who loves to learn. She already knows some of her basic training and a cute trick or two but would benefit from continuing this to build her confidence and help her to settle. She has been thoroughly enjoying playing ball in our off-lead areas and has been wowing us all with her agility skills. If you enjoy active days and evenings snuggling on the sofa then Beauty could be just the pal you are looking for! With a little patience and understanding it shouldn't take long to see Beauty's fun-loving nature shine through. She is an active young lady and would love it if her new family were able to provide her with all the physical and mental stimulation she needs, and plenty of reassurance when she is feeling worried.

Meet Ben – our Boxer/Staffie cross looking for his forever home.Ben is a young lad of around three years old who hasn’t had the easiest start. Through no fault of his own, he’s found himself in our kennels twice already. He struggles in kennels and exhibits some of the bad habits he has picked up in his previous home.Ben has spent plenty of time in a volunteer’s home, and he settles beautifully. He relaxes quickly and starts to exhibit the great dog he can be with the right level of structure and training. He loves human and wants to please and be rewarded. He enjoys a game of ball in the garden and definitely enjoys cuddling with humans. He is reactive to dogs walking in and out of the kennels but isn’t reactive outdoors on a walk. We feel Ben is dog friendly, but would need careful introductions. On the lead he can be protective of his handler and we know this can be improved with correct training. Overall he walks well on the lead and we know he has had some previous training in this area.Ben will make a great companion for the right person who is prepared to continue his training and provide him with structure and discipline as well as affection.
