Amara, a 1 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Scotland

Amara

Scotland
SexFemale
Age1 year
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

Are you right for Amara? Amara is a gorgeous 1 year old Staffie Cross who is a typical bull breed - bursting with love and energy! She loves playtime and always wants to be part of the action. Amara can make dog friends whilst out and about on her walks, but at the moment she'd be best suited as the only dog in the home. Amara can get overwhelmed in busy areas, so we'd recommend keeping her on a lead and muzzle in these situations. Any children should be around secondary school age due to her unknown background. Is Amara right for you? Amara can be quite energetic and bouncy at times, so would benefit from her own garden, but this isn't essential, as long as she gets sufficient daily exercise. Tug of war is Amara's favourite, but she's also partial to a game of football! We have very limited information about her history, so she is hoping to find a family who can continue her training, including building her confidence up. Our vet team have identified that she has luxating patellas, but we can advise her potential family about this further, prior to her adoption. Animal Welfare licence number is AWE02, as licenced by Glasgow City Council.

Arwen, a 3 years old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from Newcastle Dogs & Cats Shelter in Tyne and Wear

Tyne and Wear
SexFemale
Age3 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

Arwen could live with children aged 10+. She would like to be the only dog in the home, but could potentially live with cats or other small animals, although we have no history of her behaviour around such animals.Arwen is a lovely little lady who absolutely adores spending time with her humans and simply loves attention! She is full of beans and so will need an active family who can keep up with her and take her on lots of lovely adventures, keeping her both mentally and physically stimulated.Arwen has had a poor start to life, we have very little background information about her, but we do know that was previously left in a garden most of the time. Arwen has shown some signs that she may struggle when left alone and so she will need a family who are prepared for this and are able to slowly build up the amount of time she is left for.Arwen does also typically prefer to have space from other dogs and can, at times, be a little reactive. She will need a family who are confident and capable of managing this behaviour, whilst working on her training to help her learn some more appropriate responses. This sweet lady is such a pleasure to spend time with. She is so fun to be around and often has us laughing with her daft ways and her little tappy tappy toe dance as she sees you coming. She loves nothing more than human company – she is such a friendly girl – nobody is a stranger to Arwen! She would spend all day being made a fuss of and needs a family who are able to spend a lot of time with her.Despite the life Arwen has previously had, she still has so much love to give and more than deserves to finally be shown what the safety and security of a true forever home feels like, where she can be spoilt rotten and shown the love she should’ve always known from her forever family.Arwen hast had medication for an upset stomach. Whilst now resolved, this will likely be classed as a pre-existing condition and any future flare-ups unlikely to be covered by pet insurance.

BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

INTRODUCING ONE LUCKY YOUNG MAN NOW NAMED MORRIS. WELCOME ANOTHER SAD STAFFY CROSS.Morris came into our care on 24th December 2025 from a Yorkshire stray kennels. Through no fault of his own and a shocking sad fact in todays society this youngster was booked into to be put to sleep. Morris has not done anything wrong except be born into what some may say the wrong skin. This loving and very friendly dog is a Staffy cross. He is approximately ten months old and was abandoned and unwanted. He is adorable and loves cuddles and human contact. He is extremely playful, full of joy and has a spice for life as any pup would oen. We welcome him with open arms and a very big heart along with so many of our other dogs who sadly were all in the same dilemma. Morris has been health check by our vets and is now embarking on a new lease of life. He is learning to enjoy the outside world and we are working on his lead training. Although Morris barks initially at other dogs in excitement once introduced he has been amazing and his instant excitement is defused. He loves to play and has recently been out walking with Shellie who also found herself with an uncertain future at the stray kennels due to being another Staffy cross. Morris is beautiful, a real sweetheart baby and has so much to live for. Please read below to find our what sort of home our new delicious young man requires. We welcome support and adoption enquiries. All our dogs are loving and friendly and deserve to find true rescue adopters.WHAT HOME DOES BEAUTIFUL MORRIS NEED?Morris is now looking for a much need new start with someone that adores Staffies and cross breed Staffies. Experience of owning a dog would be beneficial. This boy will warm your heart and soul. Due to being a pup Morris will need more training and guidance as he grows. He adores people and is very puppy like so more training will be needed over the next few months. This handsome chap knows all his basic commands and we feel with the right committed human he will blossom even more. He has already shown he has love and loyalty to give and the ability to learn quickly. Morris could potentially live with a very good natured female spayed dog. We would consider rehoming him within a family home with older children only. A home where someone can offer company is essential. Very young dogs easily become bored so it is important that time is given to Morris and he knows he is not alone. If you work long hours and would leave Morris or any of our young dogs for long periods then this would not be suitable. Morris is gorgeous in every way. We are overjoyed that Morris found a lifeline at our charity on the eleventh hour. Morris is adorable and has everything to live for and so much to offer. His life could of ended on 24th December and we are blessed to have him in our care. Please consider the strays of Yorkshire. It is important we match our dogs with people lifestyles. We help a huge amount of stray dogs from Yorkshire pounds. Anyone wishing to discuss any dogs or needing more information about our charity and the work we do then please telephone for an informal chat or email us via our adopt button on this page with details about yourself and the dog you are enquiring about. Lifestyle details are important when considering adoption. All our rescue dogs have different needs. Good Life Dog Rescue exists without staff and few dedicated, passionate volunteers. Please support through adoption. We have a huge volume of dogs now in our care and welcome interest.PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM WITH ESSENTIAL DETAILS ABOUT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE ADOPT ME BUTTON. PLEASE READ THE DETAILS ABOVE ABOUT THE HOME THESE DOGS NEED BEFORE APPLYING. HOME CHECKS AND VET REFERENCES IF POSSIBLE ARE NEEDED PRIOR ANY ADOPTION OF OUR RESCUE DOGS. THANK YOU.

Badger is a handsome, fun, and affectionate lad who is looking for loving home willing to help him reach his full potential. He thrives on human company and loves to be close to his people. He can sometimes forget his size and would happily curl up on your lap for cuddles and kisses! He is a clever, responsive dog who is eager to please, making him highly trainable and an excellent candidate for general obedience, fun training classes, scent work, or dog sports. He can find it difficult to switch off at times, so his new family should be prepared to help him learn how to relax, with crate training potentially proving beneficial. While he is generally confident in the home environment and enjoys meeting people indoors, he can feel worried when approached by unfamiliar people out and about. Bambi, a 6 years old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from Foal Farm in Kent

Foal Farm

Bambi

Kent
SexMale
Age6 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier

This is a special appeal for a special boy. We are looking for a long term foster home. Many of our supporters will recognise our boy, Bambi. He originally came to Foal in July 2020 at approximately a year old. He came to us from a pound, so we had no information about Bambi’s history. What we did know, was that this poor boy had not been loved and cared for. He was scared of us, underweight, had sore skin and, overall, he was in very poor condition. With a little time and patience, Bambi soon made friends with the staff and volunteers here. It became apparent that Bambi had allergies, so with medication and a good diet his health improved. Bambi was rehomed in September 2020 but was unfortunately returned after a short while. We learnt from this homing that Bambi struggled with visitors and scenarios which took him by surprise such as opening a car door.On Bambi’s return we started to notice his behaviour appeared to be a little ‘odd’. His eyesight was deteriorating, and his balance was off. We knew there was something else underlying going on and after discussion with our vets, with a delay due to Covid, we finally got Bambi to see a specialist in November 2021. Bambi was diagnosed with neurodegenerative brain disorder and mild hydrocephalus, which is water on the brain and sadly there is no treatment we can give Bambi to help with either of these conditions. He also has impaired vision. Due to his diagnosis and his behaviour becoming unpredictable, we decided it would be best for Bambi to become a sanctuary dog at Foal where he will have stability and be surrounded by people who adore him.Upon diagnosis, we were also informed that his life span would be affected, and he could only live for another two years but there is no way to guarantee this. Fast forward a year and a half, our boy is doing really well, he loves his people and is a very good boy with his favourite friends. There have been no significant changes from when he was first diagnosed and this is very encouraging.Although Bambi still has his little quirks, he has not shown aggression to those that he trusts. We understand him and respect his space when he wants it. He is a fun and loving boy and although has medical issues, is also very clever and loves training! As Bambi is doing so well, we do feel that he has the potential to settle into a new home. We are seeking the impossible, a very special somebody who can give up some time initially to become acquainted with Bambi and develop a trusting relationship with him as we do here at Foal. Homes must be adult only and free from any other animals. The team at Foal would support the transition to the home with as many visits as required with Bambi. We are looking for a foster home, so all ongoing medical issues will be covered by Foal and his new family would have our complete support for his whole life. This boy has done so well and as much as he is happy and settled here, we would love nothing more than for him to have his very own place to call home. If you have any enquiries regarding our beautiful Bambi, please get in touch with the dog team by calling us or emailing [email protected]. Thank you.

Beau is an extremely friendly girl looking for a home that can further her training and meet her needs. She is very head shy, and can be very strong on the lead. Beau loves saying 'hi' to people - she will pull on the lead to get to someone if she is feeling excitable. We have started to work on loose lead walking with her, and she is doing very well. She checks in with her trusted members of staff, and enjoys a good sniff! Beau is looking for owners that understand she will need further training and that a dog of her size needs her strength managed. She is very affectionate and has been getting to meet a few dogs while in our care. Beau seems very curious about other dogs and could be rehomed with another dog, pending successful meets in the centre. She is a very lovely girl who will require a lot of mental stimulation so as to not be bored - we give her plenty of enrichment throughout the day and she would be looking for more of that in her new home. She loves being off lead, and chases a ball like there is no tomorrow! Beau is not fully toilet trained, and could use help with that. Therefore, she is looking for a home with either direct or indirect access to a garden, and owners who would be home most days. She is a very loving dog and could live with older kids pending they are dog savvy and have lived with a large breed before.
