Meet Amelie! Our vibrant and full of beans Frenchie X Bulldog!Amelie was brought to us as a stray, found wearing a bark collar without an ID tag, and her microchip provided no owner information. The bark collar was swiftly discarded!Being just a puppy, she is only starting out in life and needed to learn the basics. Amelie is highly intelligent and loves training! She has currently learnt quite a few exercises whilst in our care, including: sit, down, heel, wait, paw, turn & spin. Due to her young age and intelligence, she picks up new tricks super quickly, she is truly astonishing! She adores her toys & playing tug of war is her favourite game! She will make a wonderful addition for anyone looking for a young, energetic dog who is ready to start from scratch.

Bessie is a lively terrier who thrives on activity. She needs adopters who can match her energetic pace and keep her engaged. This lovely girl is friendly and quickly warms up to everyone she meets, showcasing her confidence in no time.Young Bessie has a remarkable spring in her step, able to jump over 5 feet high! She often leaps at her kennel door or gate when she’s eager to go for a walk when the harness appears in her view. Because of her impressive jumping ability, her new home will need to have secure, tall fencing or walls. Cai is a delightful young boy looking for a new adventure!We suspect that this handsome pup comes from a working line and has a passion for training. He would thrive with active adopters who are collie savvy, who can provide him with exercise, mental stimulation, enrichment, and training. He would benefit from someone who has previous agility or other dog sport experience.Cai loves to play fetch, chasing a ball is his all time favourite game. He eagerly brings it back to your feet for another throw and has been known to spit it out so quickly that it accidentally bounced off a staff member’s head! His current favourite toy is a plastic chicken. He can also occasionally throw himself into you with a body slam when he gets over excited about a ball/toy. Adopters must be steady on their feet & aware of this. Cai loves to live life in the fast lane & his adopter needs to keep up!

While she enjoys the occasional playtime with toys, her favourite pastime is lounging around.Currently in foster care, Petal shares space with a large mixed breed dog, and they get along wonderfully, Petal is completely unfazed by his presence. Most of her time is spent snoozing anyway!, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a relaxed pet.Petal prefers short strolls around the block or quick trips to the park, rather than long hikes or extensive walks. Given her breed and temperament, she doesn’t require much exercise, she’s truly more of a homebody!

However, she began to trust the staff after just 48 hours of settling in.This affectionate girl loves to cuddle and enjoys a good game of fetch. With her gentle and forgiving temperament, she’s looking for an experienced adopter who can offer a calm, quiet home and plenty of patience. Seffie values her personal space, so her new family will need to allow her to take her time in coming out of her shell, she cannot be rushed. Seffie does have a few fears from her previous home, which we can discuss in further depth at a meet and greet, with successful applicants.

Squish’s journey to us is a heart wrenching one, as he arrived due to serious issues within his family home. See “reason for my surrender” section.Eventually, the situation became untenable, with both the child and Squish needing to be kept permanently separated. The family recognized that this was unfair to them both and made the very difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue, hoping to find him a predominantly adult only home where he can truly thrive.Squish is in need of a quiet, stress free environment where he can comfortably settle into his senior years. Remarkably, he has adapted well to kennel life, likely due to his past experiences in boarding kennels.
