Hewey is an extremely, lively 2 year old crossbreed lurcher, believed to have some collie in him due to his eye colour, with the majority of his lineage being lurcher. He’s quite the jumper and loves to leap up at people with full speed! A speedy boy, he requires a foster or adopter with 7-8 ft fencing, as he can easily jump at least 7 ft that we know of.Hewey can be a bit nervous in new environments and is still adjusting to life in our rescue kennels. He enjoys spending time off lead in our secure fields with his favourite humans, quickly forming bonds with the animal welfare staff. He’s also a big fan of toys (he much prefers toys to treats!) and has a particular love for water, especially running taps! However, he can resource guard his toys, so further advice is available from our dog assessor, Gary Mathlin.While he may eventually adjust to life here, we prefer to place him in an experienced foster or permanent home where he can decompress and show his true personality.
