Meet Arlo! Arlo is a gorgeous, sweet-natured boy who is very friendly and absolutely loves lots of fuss. He’s a real people dog and enjoys getting plenty of attention and affection. He is a very energetic and boisterous lad who can get extremely giddy when he’s excited. He sometimes forgets just how big he is and will jump up to say hello, so he would benefit from some basic training to help him learn his manners and channel all that enthusiasm. Arlo recently had a bath, and although he was a little nervous to begin with, he was a very good boy. Once it was all over, he celebrated in true Arlo style with a case of the zoomies! He also has a funny habit of rearranging his bed and moving it to wherever he thinks it should be. Arlo is a loveable, fun, lively character with bags of personality. He would thrive in a very active home with someone who can give him plenty of exercise, long walks and consistency with his training. Bob is a sweet boy but can be nervous of new people, especially around men. Bob is currently under training to help to reduce his nervousness around men and new people, his new family will need to be patient and may need to have extra meets to ensure that he is familiar of everyone in the house before he goes home. Bob will need continuous training to help with his socialisation skills. Once bob is comfortable his goofy personality soon comes out, he loves to play with his toys and all of the staff here. Bob loves his walks, due to his size he can be strong on the lead but with a little more training that would improve. Bob loves his treats and enrichment activities in between walks. Bob is a clever boy as he already knows a few tricks such as sit, down and paw.Bob needs an adult only home where he can have plenty of space to settle in and gain more confidence. He will need an experienced home that has had large breed dogs before and can handle his size and boisterous behaviour once he is settled.Bob has interacted well with dogs whilst in our care, he is still only young so he does like to bounce around and try and play with dogs. Further training is needed to help him improve his manners. Bob could potentially be rehomed with another dog – subject to a successful meet.We are unsure how Bob would react around cats.Please do not apply for a dog if you have a holiday within the next 3 months.

Meet our gorgeous, daft boy, Bruce!Bruce is a very active and playful boy who absolutely loves chasing around our compound with his toys. He can be quite boisterous and bouncy when he is excited so would definitely benefit from continued training and socialisation. He can be quite a strong boy on his lead too.He will need an active home where he can get all the exercise and mental stimulation he will need every day. Bruce would benefit from a private secure garden where he can have off lead time with his toys in between his walks.Bruce has interacted well with most dogs whilst in our care but can be very dominant with them so we feel he would be best suited to be the only dog in the home. The new adopter will need to continue his socialisation with other dogs to improve his interactions with them.As Bruce can get nervous and overwhelmed meeting new people, especially men, we feel that it would be best for him to go to an adult only home. He will need time to get to know you before going home. His new family will need to be able to commit to multiple meets.

This loveable boy is Buddy! He is the perfect mix of playful energy and affectionate companionship. He’s a friendly, easy-going lad who absolutely adores people and loves being the centre of attention. Full of character, he’s excitable, giddy and always ready to make you smile. Whether it’s cuddles on the sofa or a game in the garden, he just wants to be involved in everything you do. He is bursting with energy and would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy plenty of exercise, playtime and mental stimulation. Fetch is one of his favourite games, and he will happily keep you entertained for hours chasing after a ball. Buddy is incredibly affectionate and loves a fuss, he will make a loyal, loving companion. One thing to note : He is quite the escape artist, so he will need a private secure garden and owners who are mindful of doors, gates and fencing. When Buddy came into us he had an Entropian (an eye condition) which has now been repaired and he is healing nicely.Buddy has interacted well with other dogs whilst in our care so we feel he could potentially live with another high energy dog following a successful meet and greet.As Buddy came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on him so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.We are unsure how Buddy would react around cats.If you have a holiday booked in the next 3 months please wait until you return to apply for a dog.

Cali was a very nervous girl when she first arrived at the home, she came in as a stray so we don’t know much about her history. It has taken a lot of time and patience for Cali to show us her excitable, bubbly personality. Due to this we are after an experienced home that has the time to get to know Cali here before she goes home. Once Cali gets to know you she loves a fuss and attention. She loves going out for woodland walks and gets very giddy for her lead, she pulls a little on the lead, due to her size, so would benefit from some on going training. Cali enjoys an offlead run in the enclosed compound where she can chase after a tennis ball.Cali will need to live in an Adult only home with an enclosed garden where she has space to roam about at her leisure. She used to be a little nervous and unsure around certain dogs, we have been working with her on this and introducing her to dogs which is helping her social interactions. She is now a friendly girl with most of the dogs on site and can say a lovely face to face hello and even tries to play with others. She will need continued training to help with her socialisation. Churro came into our care as a stray so we don’t have any history on him. He’s a young excitable boy who is in need of a family that has plenty of time to put into his training. He will need to work on all of the basic training to help with his manners. Churro needs an active home so he can go on plenty of adventures to help to burn off all of his energy. Churro will need a lot of mental stimulation in between walks too to keep him entertained, also he would enjoy participating in activities such as scent work. Churro needs an experienced home; owned a Patterdale before or had a lot of experience with young rescues dogs.Churro needs to be the only dog in the home so he can have all the attention to help with his training. Churro has interacted well with dogs whilst in our care but can be quite intense so will need more training to help him socialise appropriately.Churro is after an adult only home with no visiting children either. This gorgeous girl is Clover! We are looking for an experienced owner for her. Once Clover has bonded with you she shows off her loving side, it just takes some time for her to trust new people. Once she has got to know you she doesn’t leave your side. Clover is a very boisterous and bouncy girl who does forget just how big she is when she is jumping up at you to say hello. She would definitely benefit from puppy training classes. She can be very silly at times but in the nicest possible way and will definitely keep you smiling. Her new adopter must give her all the support she will need whilst she gets used to new people and places and will have to commit to regular meet and greets before the adoption could take place. Coco came into our care as a stray so we don’t have any background information on her. She is a sweet but shy girl at times. She does get excitable once she gets to know you. With time and patience she will be a great companion for any home. She loves her walks and going outside for plenty of sniffs. As she came in as a stray, she would benefit from some basic training to help her flourish.Coco can be rehomed with children 12+ – subject to a successful meet.Coco has interacted well with dogs whilst in our care but can be a little nervous at first. We believe that she could potentially be rehomed with another dog of a similar size and with a calm temperament.It is unknow how Coco would react to cats.Please don’t apply for a dog if you are going on holiday within the next 3 months.

Daisy was previously a racing greyhound who has been brought up in kennels. She is a smaller girl in comparison to a typical greyhound but still does have quite a high prey drive. She makes up for her size with her big personality, she is a very sweet and loving girl but can be a little cheeky at times. As like most greyhounds, Daisy enjoys a good walk and sniff in the woods, with the occasional time off lead in an enclosed area to burn off energy but will equally spend lots time relaxing on a comfy cosy bed. Daisy is after someone that is looking to give a dog lots of love and companionship, which she hasn’t previously had in her life. She in return will give you unconditional love.Daisy can be a little nippy at times so we feel that it would be best for her to be rehomed with children who are 14 years or older – subject to a successful meet.Daisy is currently paired and used to living with another greyhound in kennels. She has also interacted well with other dogs whilst on walks so we believe that she could be rehomed with another dog of a similar size and temperament – again subject to a successful meet.Due to Daisy being an ex-racer it wouldn’t be suitable for him to be rehomed with cats or small furries.*Applicants that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge

Dakota is looking for her forever home, and she has so much love to give. She’s an incredibly sweet, friendly girl who absolutely adores people. If you’re happy to give her plenty of fuss, she’ll be in her element! Despite her size, she is a gentle soul with a lovely nature and enjoys spending time with her favourite humans. She already knows some basic commands and is very eager to please so would benefit from further training. Being a young, strong dog, she can be powerful on the lead, so her new adopter will need to be confident and committed to continue her lead training. Because of this, she will be best suited to an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise, adventures and mental stimulation. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart as big as she is, this lovely girl could be the one for you. This lovely boy is Duke! He is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can truly thrive. When he first came into us he was very nervous, but given the time and space to build trust his friendly and affectionate nature shines through. He can be quite vocal and will bark to let you know when he’d like some attention. When he gets over excited or over stimulated he can become a little mouthy, so he will need owners who can calmly redirect this behaviour and continue his training and socialisation. He already knows some basic commands and is eager to engage. Being a large, strong boy, he does pull on the lead, so he will benefit from ongoing lead training and someone confident enough to manage his strength. He is currently unsure around other dogs and would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where his new adopter can continue his socialisation with other dogs in a controlled environment with lots of positive reinforcement. This handsome lad is looking for an active home, that can provide patience, consistency and plenty of exercise and mental enrichment. Meet our gorgeous Ebony! She was a little nervous and unsure at first, but it didn’t take her long to warm up and show us her lovely personality. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl who really enjoys attention and being around people. Once she feels comfortable, her giddy and playful side quickly comes out. Ebony can sometimes forget just how big she is, especially when she gets excited, but it’s all part of her fun and loveable character. Ebony knows her basic commands and is very keen to learn. She is a very strong girl on the lead, so she will need someone who is confident and able to manage her strength while continuing her lead training. She was also a very good girl during her visit to the vets and behaved brilliantly while having her vaccination. Overall, Ebony is a big, affectionate, playful girl with lots of love to give. Once she gets to know you, her sweet and silly personality really shines through. She would benefit from a private secure garden.
