Beau is a cute and intelligent Jack Russell x Patterdale. He is looking for a calm, adult home with terrier-experienced people who will allow him to settle at his own pace. He would like his people to be around most of the time. Beau loves long walks in the countryside and he isn't keen on noisy, busy streets, so a home in a rural location would suit him well. He is a sensitive little soul but he isn't a lap dog and isn't overly cuddly. Beau will accept affection on his own terms but he doesn't like too much handling as it worries him. Beau needs a home where he is your only dog and he isn't used to living with cats. Beau needs a child-free home. At night he likes to sleep in his own bed downstairs but he likes to have a light left on. Beau will make a loyal little friend to his new people. He forms strong bonds with the people he trusts and watching his confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.

Snoozy Blue is a reposeful 11-year-old female Lurcher, in a foster home in N. Yorks. Blue is a lazy lady who loves nothing more than a snuggle on the sofa with her humans. She will go out for short walks, or a quick sprint in a secure dog field, but her absolute priority is relaxation and she will happily sleep the day away. She could live with quiet, sturdy children who won’t disturb her slumbers or be knocked over by her paws/tail. She’d make a sweet companion for a homeworker as she’ll sleep quietly while you work and then enjoy a nice short walk. She loves to say hello to all dogs. Her foster carer thinks Blue would be happiest living with a calm dog for company, especially if she will be left on her own for more than an hour or two. Blue weighs 23kg and is 60cm tall. She's calm, cuddly, waggy and a joy to have around. She’s won the hearts of so many people, which is no surprise as she’s so friendly and affectionate. She rarely barks and is so laid back. A star!

Joyful, playful Jilly is a gorgeous Jack Russell Terrier cross, aged almost 12. She is in a foster home in the London Borough of Hounslow, waiting for someone to offer her a forever home. Jilly’s foster carer describes her as a joy to look after. Jilly is an active, sweet and loving girl, a bit bigger than a JRT. She’s easy-going, friendly and sociable and she loves to play with her toys. Jilly is good with small dogs but frightened of bigger dogs. She needs a home without cats but could live with dog-savvy children aged 8+. Jilly is an excellent traveller. Jilly's new home needs to have someone around for most of the day, but she's fine to be left for a couple of hours when you go out shopping etc. Her new home must have a nice secure garden with a grass lawn. She loves to go out for three or four 20-miute walks each day. Could you offer playful Jilly a lovely new life?

Lovely Dachshund Lucy came into rescue after her owner passed away. She is a very timid but active girl. Lucy could be an only dog, or live with a non-tall calm older dog. She needs an adult-only home, but calm visiting children who would respect her space should be OK. She might be able to live with a confident cat. Lucy loves human company but can be left for short periods when you need to go out. She enjoys two or three half-hour walks a day. She can keep going for longer if you want though! An active older person or couple would suit Lucy, someone that is home most of the time but still has the ability to take her for the exciting walks that she loves. Lucy takes time to trust new people, but she is a sweet and loving little darling.

Adorable Milly and Chloe are an inseparable pair of standard Dachshunds who came into rescue after the death of their owner. They're in a foster home near Tavistock in Devon, waiting for someone to offer them a quiet home together. Their microchip records state that they were born in June 2014, making them twelve. However, although Milly does seem to be that age, Chloe seems younger - the vet thought so too. It’s something of mystery. If they are litter sisters, poor Milly must have had a much harder paper round! Milly weighs 12kg and stands 11″ from floor to top of head. Chloe weighs 10kg and stands 10″ from floor to top of head. They need to be your only pets and they’d like you to be at home a lot of the time. You must be happy for them to sleep on your bed! They will enjoy having children visit. They need a quiet home with a pleasant easy-access garden for them to enjoy. They will bring their paddling pool! Could you offer these sweet girls a lovely future?

Urgent appeal for dog-free, cat-free, child-free temporary foster home for Winnie, Cavalier x Poodle, within 3 hours of Kent. Winnie has bitten her foster carer’s dog. We need to move her urgently. She's a sweetheart but is unpredictable. She cannot be around children. Can't live with dogs/cats. Winnie needs a foster home with a large, flat, easily accessible garden direct from the home. She has hip dysplasia and back pain - now on medication, but can't be walked on a lead. She is very good around chickens, sheep and other livestock. She was very overweight and needs to lose more. She must not be given human food/titbits as this encourages her to resource-guard and snatch without warning. Only offer if your home is a match for Winnie’s needs and if you can get forms filled in and have a homecheck straight away. If you have holiday coming up this year, this won’t work for fostering Winnie. Although initially seeking a foster home, you could foster with a view to adopting her.
