BreedJack Russell Terrier x Cardigan Welsh Corgi

16 year old Bonnie sadly found herself in a predicament when her owner was taken into care. They had been together for 15 years. We knew when we heard about Bonnie’s plight that we already had the perfect long term foster home for her - the legendary Karen’s Care Home!Jenna and Karen had worked together many times in the past. This amazing woman specialises in offering sanctuary to elderly and/or disabled little ones, and she has helped so many dogs in need over the past few years since she found her calling.Bonnie has settled in wonderfully with Karen and her pack of little oldies. Karen keeps us entertained with Bonnie's adventures on our social media pages. A bossy lady, Bonnie is ruling the roost and has developed a penchant for hiding her fellow care home residents' toys around the house! One Wish will be supporting Bonnie’s care for the rest of her life. She deserves to feel safe, loved and cherished for however long she has left with us. We’re making sure she has everything she needs.© 2025 One Wish Dog Foundation. Registered Charity no: 1212997

Buddy, a 1 year old male Cocker Spaniel available for adoption from One Wish Dog Foundation in Oxfordshire

One Wish Dog Foundation

Buddy

Oxfordshire
SexMale
Age1 year
BreedCocker Spaniel

Poor Buddy has experienced a lot of upheaval in his formative years and this has led to anxiety. He becomes overwhelmed in busy, stressful situations so we’re looking for a quiet, compassionate home where he can find his feet again.A clever boy, Buddy absolutely thrives on adventure and enrichment. A typical Spaniel, he’d love a home where he’ll be given jobs to do - for example agility or scent work. An active home is a must but he’s happy to chill once he has tired himself out.The stressful situations that Buddy has been in led him to nip on one occasion. This occurred when he was too overwhelmed and his signs of discomfort unfortunately weren’t picked up on. Boisterous children exacerbate Buddy’s anxiety so we’re looking for a child free home. Although he gets on with other dogs, a pet free environment would be ideal for Buddy so that he has plenty of peace and quiet. If you have experience with Spaniels and think you might be able to offer a loving home to Buddy, please register your interest below. Louie, a 1 year old male Labrador available for adoption from One Wish Dog Foundation in Oxfordshire

One Wish Dog Foundation

Louie

Oxfordshire
SexMale
Age1 year
BreedLabrador

Just a baby, Louie the Labradoodle isn't even a year old yet, and he has experienced a lot of upheaval in his life. As such, he is an anxious lad and we are looking for a compassionate home, with a patient owner who will help him to feel safe and happy. In the home and with those he trusts, Louie is amazingly loyal, loving and affectionate. He loves cuddles and devotes himself quickly to the people who he knows he is safe with. He is super quick (and eager) to learn, and he'll thrive with structured, reward-based training. Although he enjoys outdoor adventures, Louie needs some help with learning how to walk nicely on a lead. With time, patience and consistency, we're confident that he will soon learn the ropes. We have already seen great progress in this area since he has been in foster care.Louie can be nervous of people and situations that he doesn't know, so he will need gentle introductions to visitors, the vets and other dogs. We will provide his family with full support but a quiet home is what he needs, so that he can settle and feel less anxious at his own pace. For this reason, we're looking for a child free home.Louie has lived with other dogs before, so we'd be very happy to consider a home with another dog. A few introductions would be needed but having another dog around could well help Louie with his development into adulthood. Louie cannot live with cats or small furries. This lovely boy deserves a second chance so much, and we're committed to finding his happy ever after. If you are interested in giving Louie a life of love, please register your interest below. Tally, a 5 years old female American Bulldog available for adoption from One Wish Dog Foundation in Oxfordshire

Tally

Oxfordshire
SexFemale
Age5 years
BreedAmerican Bulldog

Where do we even start with this beautiful, amazing, special girl?Beautiful Tally is a 5 year old American Bulldog who experienced untold traumas before arriving in the care of the One Wish Dog Foundation. Before being found by the dog warden, Tally had been moved from pillar to post, being relentlessly bred from before being left to starve in a filthy drug den.Riddled with mange and dangerously skinny, Tally’s eyes were almost completely closed up from swelling and she had lost most of her fur from infections. Her back legs were also stiff and sore from emaciation, and being kept in a cage with no freedom and exercise. If you’re following Tally’s journey on our social media pages, you’ll know that this special girl is now recovering from her traumas in a lovely, cosy home and she has made an incredible transformation thanks to expert medical advice and treatment. You'll notice from her photos how much better she is looking and feeling now.Tally is now vaccinated and once she is fully back to health, she will also be spayed. No more pups for this poor darling, we dread to think how many litters she was forced to have. What is most amazing about Tally is how despite everything she has been put through by humans, she refuses to lose faith in us. She looks to us for safety and comfort, and she is so, so gentle and trusting. She’s quite simply incredible and we’re totally committed to finding her happy ever after. We'll accept nothing short of a 5* home for this exceptional soul. She is able to live with other dogs and children. She has been in contact with cats in foster care but we would prefer for her to go to a cat-free home for safety reasons due to her size.If you think you might be able to offer our amazing Tally a lifetime of love and all the attention in the world, please register your interest below.
