We’re looking for the holy grail of homes for this special boy. We know the odds are totally against us but we won’t give up.Poor Billy just hours from being left behind. At risk of abandonment in a cold, empty property with no food, no water and no way out, he would have starved to death and we couldn’t let that happen.Billy is a 6 year old Jackapoo now in the care of One Wish. It’s heart-breakingly clear that he’s been through trauma. He’s frightened, unsure, and sometimes reacts out of fear.As a tiny, brand new rescue, our resources are extremely limited. But we knew we had no choice. The alternative was unthinkable.Billy is currently in kennels where he is safe, warm and well cared for. But kennels can only be a short-term solution. We are desperately searching for a foster (or adoptive) home where Billy can begin to heal. Billy needs someone truly special: a calm, compassionate, and patient person, in a child-free home, ideally in the Oxfordshire area but we can consider further afield. Billy is able to share his home with calm, friendly dogs. This is more than just fostering. It’s giving a vulnerable soul the chance to trust again and to be cared for the way he deserves. This boy deserves a second chance so much, and we're committed to finding his happy ever after. If you are interested in working with us to rehabilitate Billy, please register your interest below. Gracie

Oxfordshire
SexFemale
Age4 years
BreedLurcher

Gracie came to One Wish from the pound, having been heartlessly abandoned and left to fend for herself. We believe that she is around 4 years old and despite her troubled past, she is the most gentle and loving soul. It's hard to put into words just how special this girl is. She has a pure heart and loves with absolute abandon. She adores being around people and promises to utterly devote herself to her forever family. Although we don't believe that she has lived in a home before, she is already the perfect house guest. She understood toilet training immediately and already loves luxuriating on the sofa.Gracie has been thoroughly enjoying having a lovely long walk in the morning and zooming around the secure field close to her foster home. Once she has expended all that Lurcher energy, she spends the rest of the day lounging around and enjoying cuddles. As she's so sweet and friendly, we're happy for Gracie to share her home with children over 8 years old as well as other dogs. As she's a Sighthound, we cannot rehome her with cats or small furries. We're committed to finding Gracie the happiest of ever afters. If you think you can offer her the life she has always dreamed of, please register your interest below. Lola, a 10 years old female Tibetan Terrier available for adoption from One Wish Dog Foundation in Oxfordshire

Lola

Oxfordshire
SexFemale
Age10 years
BreedTibetan Terrier

Gorgeous, sweet Lola arrived in our care through no fault of her own. 10 years old, this lovely Tibetan Terrier is absolutely adorable.Lola is a quiet girl, who is enjoying her peaceful foster home and would be best suited to a similar type of permanent home. We can consider homes with older children (over 12 years old) but we feel she would be happiest in an adult-only environment. She is happy to go for short walks but prefers to relax at home nand potter in the garden. Although she loves being around her people, she isn't a lapdog. This independent little lady likes fuss on her own terms but she likes to know that her family is nearby.Lola cannot live with cats but we feel she would be very happy if she could share her forever home with a four-legged friend of a similar size and temperament.Lola is in generally good health for a senior, however she takes medication for Hyperthyroidism. She has been prone to ear infections in the past and has a specific diet for potential food sensitivities. We'd love to find Lola the most amazing of retirement homes. If you think you might be able to offer her the happiest of lives, please register your interest below. 10 year old JRT X Lola arrived in our care as her owner sadly went into hospital. No longer able to care for her long term, the heart-breaking decision was made to surrender Lola to One Wish so that we can find her a wonderful retirement home.Although Lola has led a sheltered life over the past few years, she has shown so much resilience. She settled very quickly in her foster home and her adorable character started to shine almost from the start.A typical Terrier, Lola is full of character and she has an endearing cheeky streak despite her age. We believe that Lola is almost totally deaf but it doesn't hold her back at all. She loves strokes, cuddles and snuggling with her people. She also really enjoys walks so a home where she can still get out and about on adventures is a must.Lola has socialised with other dogs since she has been with us but she shows little interest in making four-legged friends. She would prefer a home where she is the only pet, so that she can have all the fuss to herself. As she is used to a relatively solitary life, we are looking for a quiet, adult-only home for her, ideally with a single owner or a couple. We'd love to find Lola the perfect retirement home.
